From the young man who greeted us and showed us to our table, to the young lady who took our order and the two other ladies that were so friendly to us - every member of staff we encountered were so warming and welcoming. The atmosphere was beautiful. Our first time in Melbourne this week and it was the best place we’d eaten by far. Even reading the reviews you can see how much they care for their customers and it’s so refreshing to see. The food was just perfection, i couldn’t fault any of it. We both had the porterhouse steak with mushroom sauce. My mum said it was the best sauce she’s ever tasted, and me the best steak i’ve ever had! The view from our table was just stunning. We will be back!

The experience was definitely unsatisfactory considering the high prices and average quality. friendly staff thoug. The owner's initial talk about how special their ingredients are felt misleading, as the overall experience was quite basic given the premium prices. There was barely any sausage or meat in the dishes. While the menu listed two lines of different ingredients, I didn't see any of them represented properly in the pasta;—just different sauce colors with no real distinction. For $35-$40, the taste was very average and definitely not worth it. Also, the garlic bread at the beginning felt like a distraction rather than a real addition. I don’t need free extras—I’m fine with paying a premium, but at least make it worth the price.

Friendly service, a lovely view from our balcony table. My friend ordered parmigiana which was enormous. My $36 linguine pescatore looked good but it had an unpleasant oil based flavour. The worst part though, was when I removed the prawn meat from the head, brown liquid poured out of it. It was very off putting. My complaint to the young female waitress was disregarded. I showed her how I’d had to use a napkin to soak it up so that it didn’t seep all over the remainder of the pasta. My further complaint to the lady at the reception desk, made no difference. In fact I had to tell her twice before she took any notice. She was not apologetic or seemed concerned. Your staff need training on how to manage customer complaints and your chef needs to know not to offer half shelled prawns (only two), with revolting brown liquid inside them.

We (two couples) popped in for a late lunch on Sunday 6 May 2025. La Camera is family owned and run, with cooking classes offered! It is upstairs, so no traffic noise or people buzzing by. Beautiful view across the Yarra. The owner and staff were sharp. The menu was great. We had pizzas and parmas. Pizzas were the thin crust, good Italian style. The parma was huge, Aussie style!
Well recommended !!!

Extremely delicious food. Ordered Nona's lasagna and the spaghetti and they were both amazing. The antipasti was Devine, the salami melts in your mouth. The pizza was wonderful. And the staff incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. We ate most of the staff recommendations and they were spot on, the food was amazing. Highly recommend you eat here when in the city next.

Loved the cocktails here. Would have given 5 star if the food arrived on time. There was a big group just after us so understandably the kitchen got busy. We don’t mind waiting but our big boss, who is two yrs old, needed to be fed on time & in bed by 9. So we opted for takeaway. Food was absolutely delicious. So yea, all forgiven. Also, thank you for the complimentary tiramisu, we truly enjoyed it.
Staff were lovely. We’ll just avoid Friday evening next time. :)

Great size restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating, we sat outside on the balcony with a nice view of the Yarra, was a shame the weather wasn’t great & the blinds were down.
The young girl serving us was very friendly.
Service was quick, we didn’t wait long for our meals at all.
We ordered the arancini which were nearly as good as my mums, but possibly the best I’ve had in a restaurant, calamari were very fresh & tender, the risotto & gnocchi were also good - I’m a tough critic when it comes to Italian food as being Italian I cook it myself at home all the time, however - it was nice to have it cooked for me.
Overall, it was a lovely experience!
