"Welcome to the opulent Steigenberger Hotel on the well-heeled Avenue Louise, where Kevin Lejeune and his team have set up shop in an interior of shades of black underscored by hints of gold and copper. It is clear that every detail has been puzzled and preened over at the Canne en Ville from the head-spinning wine cellar to the heavily laden cheese trolley. The chef’s creative flair and consummate talent more than live up to our expectations. His signature dish, grilled langoustine smoked in rosemary and served under a dome, is always a delight unless you would rather sample breast of pigeon cooked on the bone, gracefully underscored by blueberries and cauliflower. Lejeune introduces an unorthodox ingredient into each dish, including in the first-class vegetarian menu. A fascinating fine dining experience every time." - Michelin Inspector

We had the most wonderful time here, delicious food, a feast for the eyes and senses, delicious adapted wines, a flawless service by a fantastic staff,...

Great ambiance, excellent location, good service. I really enjoyed the evening but I expected more flavor and complexity. Although nicely presented, I found majority of the dishes quite dull. I liked the wine. If I remember correctly, we paid around 600 euros for 2 people for the full set of dishes and paired wine…

Surprisingly delicious 🤩 I loved the fake carrot as I had one week of vegan retreat the week before … I was so surprised ! A very good mix of European and Asian tastes. Lot’s of Japanese algues or other spices are in different dishes. The dessert was very subtle and just sweet enough based on strawberries. Just found the signature food lobster a bit salty… the wines were just so good and unusual !

This will be a longer review because this dinner was booked for my birthday and it did not went as expected first of all at arrival we were told that we will not be seating main dining area without any clear explanation why? We were placed in somewhat separate area composed by 8 tables that had very little charm and atmosphere compared to the main dining area. What a disappointment given that I have booked so ahead of time. After we were seated we noticed in this room temperature is extremely low after asking the staff if temperature can be increased they assured us and all other guests that in 10 min will be hotter but even after 30 minutes temperature was still the same so they supplied blankets to other guest which were also cold and my partner had use her scarf to heat herself very embarrassing for a Michelin star restaurant in five star hotel. Now on to the drinks and food part. Drinks menu was very non impressive and the complete lack of non alcoholic cocktails or wines made the experience for my partner very unpleasant as she can’t drink alcohol as we pregnant. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurant across the globe never seen such a thing. The food itself was good at the level of 1 star restaurant not more not less and the mixing of tastes was inventive. To finish up the service by the staff was not very well organized and overall the feeling they gave us that there was a lot of stress in their execution. All and all good food but everything else needs a lot of improvement if the goal is to get another star….

Impeccable service, innovative dishes, superb wine pairing suggestions. Average rating as I expected more from a resto of this price point. Textures were fine but flavor was lacking in complexity, and at times, didn’t work. Most dishes were borderline too salty. 363 € for 3 persons for 4-course dinner and a glass each of wine.

It has been a while I did have great surprises. 1 star by far deserved. Incredible sauces 👏🏼. Waiters were fun and approachable. Highly appreciated the langoustine , orange juice and cappucino of the breakfast, the salmon maki, la Noix de saint Jacques 😋. The small weak point was the high price of the menu...I think around 150e would be more appropriate. Just amazing big clap for this authenticity with classic product making everything high level. Second star is not super far to me 😉. Thank you 🙏🏼

The service is exceptional and the presentation and theatre around the dishes are great. We only had the choice of a six or seven course tasting menu, where I would have preferred more of a choice as I didn't think the courses complimented each other as seamlessly as they could. That said, they were tasty and a delight to look at. Also worth mentioning, this is not a place to come to if you're in a rush! You cannot rush excellence!
