Price is right: 3 for $10 tacos (mix and match permitted) and service was efficient. Order comes with small cups of spicy (red) and mild (green) salsas (cashier asked if we wanted spicy, mild, or both) and tacos are topped with red onion and cilantro. Cashier told us our two orders of 3 tacos would be ready in 8 minutes and that was pretty spot on.
On a Saturday afternoon, though, it was basically impossible to distance from other customers as we were waiting to order our food because the space is so small. That made me pretty uncomfortable as not all were masked. We took our table number to a nice outside picnic table.
Unfortunately, my husband's order was mixed up a bit as he was given al pastor taco instead of a chorizo. However, it was okay with us as we got to try more variety. Between the two of us, we had chorizo, chicken, al pastor, and carnitas.
Although the tacos were all fine and happily eaten, every single option was pretty bland. I love Mexican chorizo, but this variety didn't really have the crispy bits or the kick usually found. The chicken (thigh) was cooked well so it kept its moisture, but it needed more seasoning. Same with the other pork options. The salsa roja had a real kick, so give that a try if you enjoy heat. The salsa verde was bland. I wanted for some kind of garlic or distinguishing flavor to come through. I thought everything could use a pinch of salt. The lime wedges served with the tacos helped with flavor.
The corn tortillas were great, though. Absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately, although these were A-OK tacos; these sadly weren't my dream tacos. Sitting outside on the little back lot was enjoyable, and the meal was quick and easy. Maybe we'll give it another go in the future, as those tortillas were pretty memorable.
