Excellent quality meat, especially the Wagyu — very fresh and top-grade. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the shop itself is clean and well organized with a premium butcher shop feel. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the pricing, which is on the higher side, though understandable given the quality. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely come back.

After some time, I finally got stop by this local butcher shop to try one of their sandwiches. Each sandwich while a bit pricey does come with a bag of chips and a drink. I got their signature wagyu pastrami sandwich which was toasted to perfection. You would think the sandwich would be very heavy, but it was quite easy to eat and I didn't feel sick or bloated after. The wagyu pastrami itself was buttery smooth, and has a great clean taste to it. I'll definitely be back to try some of their marinated meats and other sandwiches.

My husband has been wanting to try this place for a while, so we finally gave it a shot. I ordered the Wagyu pastrami, which came with marble rye bread, and my husband got the Wagucci Trio on Dutch crunch bread. The food was good, but I thought the price was a bit steep for what you get. I guess that’s just the norm these days. Overall, I’m glad we tried it!

I ordered the Roast and my boyfriend got the Prime. We enjoyed our freshly made sandwiches at the park down the street. Haven’t tried the chips and salsa yet, but I will definitely be coming back here for the halal options, wagyu beef cuts, homemade salsa selection and macaroni salad or potato salad freshly made. They also sell a haven of rubs for you to season your meat at this butcher shop. Overall great experience and it was nice to meet Victor, a very helpful and friendly butcher!

Top 3 most sensational sandwiches I’ve had in my life! Really awesome to find a place that offers halal options. My go to is the Wagyu Hot House halal. Loaded with meat, I wish it had extra cheese, and the pickled onion cuts through the richness really well. Make sure to have it fresh with the bread still crispy. Pro tip: if you’re reheating it, put it in a microwave for 20 seconds to warm up the inside and then air fry it for 3 minutes to crisp up the outside. All the employees are great and super helpful. If you’re Muslim, be sure to ask for your sandwich to be halal. They permeate sandwiches on different surfaces and ovens and go as far as to substitute any pork with either beef or Turkey. They also happen to sell steaks. All Australian Wagyu is halal. Denver steak is perfect to me, you get a good amount of meat for the price. Their location can be sort of tight when it’s busy and parking can sometimes be a hassle. They recently put up signs for a couple reserved spots at the front of the shop. Go try this place out for yourself!!

Delicious sandwich shop/butcher in an unassuming spot. High quality meats and cuts offered. Some marinated and ready for the grill and sides of mac salad, potato salad, and more ready for quick purchase. I love that they make the sandwich fresh on the spot when you order. They heap the toppings and toast it so you enjoy every bite. Knocked off a star for the price and not being able to customize orders. The price is high for a sandwich as others have mentioned. I get that some of the sandwiches use wagyu beef which is premium but even a turkey sandwich costs a lot here. Also, totally understand there are issues with allowing people to customize their orders all the time but if they're willing to pay extra, I don't see the issue. I wanted to sub the bread on one sandwich to the dutch crunch and was told they couldn't allow it even if I paid extra :(

Guy behind the meat counter was a jerk. So rude, I felt like I was in NYC or Philly. If you want sandwiches, you have to order at the cash register, even though there is a large sign that says "Order here" at the meat counter. Anyway the girl at the register was nice. Pastrami sandiwch was decent, but not $24 decent. That's Langer's prices for pastrami, and this sandwich is NO Langers #19. Wish I had gone to the Hat and gotten 2 pastrami dips for the price of the one sandwich at this place.

Sandwich shop, butcher shop/carniceria, purveyor of high end goods - this place is located in a strip mall off a busy street in Brea. An 'if you blink, you might miss it' type of place. Inside, it feels like a mom/ pop, family owned/operated type spot. It's clean and the folks here are friendly and helpful. The place is not large, but it has lots of quality, high end meats and a great selection relative to the size. If you want wagyu tomahawks, sausages, and even high quality burgers, etc,, they have all that here. I can't remember when or why exactly it was on my list/radar, but I think it had to be because of the sandwiches. There was a week where I had to go back and forth from City of Industry and Anaheim, so I thought it was a perfect chance to check this place out. I ordered the smoked wagyu pastrami, which is served on a toasted marbled rye bread with swiss cheese, mayo, and some pepperoncini. Not cheap, but didn't feel super expensive when thinking about what you got. It also comes with chips and a drink. This was an excellent sandwich. Great flavors and textures. Nice crunch with each bite. I would just note, however, that the meat was sliced thin side and it was layered vs. the thicker cut Jewish style deli pastrami. There are also other items for sale like salsas and tortillas. Just a really cool spot with great food and great people. I'm a big fan.

Simple and Sweet A butcher that serves up high end meats all the way up to A5? Sign me up! They're located in a small strip in Brea so it's definitely easy to miss. Their meat selection is really good. In terms of quality they start at USDA black angus and then go upwards to Australian wagyu then A5. If you're looking to get a sandwich instead of meats, they got you covered. They have an assortment of amazing sandwiches. I bought their house marinated short ribs as well as a cut of ribeye and my goodness the meats just melt in your mouth! The employees are friendly and help you get what you need. It gives off mom and pop vibes as each employee really takes care of you. If i remember correctly, almost all their meat selections are either halal or kosher.

Jesus Christ. HIDDEN GEM!!!! Dude, I grew up in NY and have had likely the best pastrami in the world. This pastrami was glorious. It transcends the earthly Langer's (overrated) sandwich, easily. Got the wagyu pastrami sandwich (hot). The buttery, crispy marbled rye was perfectly crispy and hot. Cue the beautifully marbled pastrami which legit tasted like the nectar of the gods. I cannot wait to go back to easily one of the top pastrami sandos I've ever had. Go now!!!

The Pastrami is the bomb!, was the selling point to come to this spot over Urth Cafe (it's a California must whenever I visit). At first I thought it was a dining spot but instead it was a butcher shop with 3 tables and chairs outside ... still, we committed to the cause and that was...to fill the belly. We ordered the smoked pastrami and prime steak Sammies. It comes with a drink and chippies (salt and vinegar goes great with everything) We received the sandwiches nicely wrapped in wax paper, it felt like opening gifts! Looking at the smoked pastrami sandwich, the quality of the marbled rye bread with the layers of pastrami, onion jam and sauerkraut was an awesome union of tasty matrimony ! That first bite said it all. I didn't want anything else afterwards. I had the steak sandwich on a hero roll but it dwarfed in everything compared to the pastrami sammie. It's pretty much pastrami all the way for me at this place. Definitely give this place 2 thumbs up. Price is abit steep but this is one of those spots to take care of your pastrami (or the MEATS) fix. They do have steaks to purchase if you want to make some amazing butter basted steaks at home. They also specialize in a variety of BBQ spice mixes if you're looking to make some meats for yourself. For a dine-in , their new location in Costa Mesa opened on May 8 and it's well worth visit (check out my Costa Mesa review) Service is great there and they know the halal deal (let them know you want your food Halalified)

One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. I've been craving a deli sandwich for a while and I've driven past this place a million times when visiting my parents and finally found the time to stop in. The meat everywhere looked amazing so I'll have to come back to get something to grill soon. The smoked wagyu Reuben was awesome. Pretty pricey but worth it in my opinion since the quality of the meat was so high. All of the sandwiches we tried were excellent and I'm already looking forward to going again.

This place is pretty cool, I definitely come back to probably purchase some meat to cook at home. This review is mainly going to be about the sandwiches we got for takeout. You walk in, place an order for what you want at the register and then you basically just wait around until they call you. It took about 15 minutes. Overall the sandwiches were quite large, I think that two people with a medium appetite could share one. Not only because of the size, but the sandwich is a sodium overload. The bread they have is very good, the only downside is that the sandwich is pretty soggy after driving home, and I live about 10 minutes away. I think it's best enjoyed right away! Also, you can ask to get one of the salads instead of a bag of chips. I think it compliments the sandwich more. The price is quite expensive, this is definitely a special treat type of lunch.

Had seen this place pop up while driving by a while ago and was intrigued - a carniceria but wagyu?! How cool! We swung by to pick up some sandwiches to go and finally gave it a try. Sandwiches are on the pricier side $17+ but are huge and come with a soda and chips. I don't eat red meat so options were limited but I got the southwest Turkey and hubby got to Wagyu roast. We both enjoyed our sandwiches - each lasted two meals! Love that they have zapps chips and they also sell deli items like meat by the pound, salsas, tortillas and chimichurri. Everyone is friendly, place is clean and you can watch them prep meat through a window inside!

I've been wanting to try this place out but the only thing that held me back were the outrageously high prices. After seeing all the mouthwatering pictures and great reviews, I had to give it a shot even though my wallet would take a huge blow. As soon as I entered, there were two people waiting for their sandwiches so it took a couple of minutes before I was helped out - no worries. As soon as I put my order in, they started on it right away. Here's what I ordered: **Smoked Wagyu Pastrami: This is pretty much the wagyu pastrami but with some different add-ons. The addition of sauerkraut was good but that fig onion marmalade was a GAME CHANGER. Best sandwich I've had and there's no competition. (5/5) Don't hesitate, give this spot a shot. Try out one of their wagyu sandwiches and it will not leave you disappointed. What's even better is that every sandwich comes with a bag of chips or macaroni salads and a drink located in the back part of the store. They also have many spices, tortillas, and sauces available.

You pay for what you get. We bought 3 sandwiches to try; the pastrami, the trio and the prime steak. All three sandwiches were AMAZING! Definitely going back!

Been wanting to try out La Carniceria Wagyu's for a while now and finally stopped by to pick up a few sandwiches for lunch. Each sandwich order comes with a canned soda and bag of chips. Prime Steak Sandwich ($18): Sliced balsamic prime steak with mixed greens, pepperoni mayo, provolone + swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and tomatoes on dutch crunch bread. Delicious but definitely must eat fairly quickly as the bread will get soggy and fall apart easily. Wagyu Pastrami Panini ($22): Wagyu pastrami with swiss cheese, and whole grain mayo on marble rye bread. A simple sandwich with a mouthful of flavor. The marble rye had too much of a herby taste for my preference but the meat was great. The ordering process was a bit confusing as a customer who was waiting let us know she ordered toward the back of the store but when we weren't helped yet, another customer told us they ordered by the front. We were ultimately helped by the meat counter by the owner himself, David. While waiting for our sandwiches, we overhead David mention to another customer about a sale they were having on wagyu tomahawk's (BMS 9) for $100 each instead of per pound. Intrigued, we pondered and decided to purchase a few along with the ribeye in the counter. Cooked the tomahawks the day after purchasing by reverse searing (as recommended by David) and they turned out amazing. Will definitely be on a lookout for another sale! Shared parking lot amongst other businesses - gets pretty crowded during peak hours so you may need to find street parking.

LCW is one of those places that you drive by daily and think to yourself, "I need to try it someday"... but never actually do. At least that was the case for me this past year. I've been meaning to try LCW for almost a year now and I finally got around to doing so. I would say the wait was worth it. I got the Prime Steak sandwich and wow, the steak was truly on another level. It was so good that I actually had to disassemble my sandwich like a barbarian just because I wanted to enjoy the steak on its own without getting lost in the rest of the sandwich. The result was definitely more delicious, albeit probably not how the chef intended. Besides the meat, the best part of the Prime Steak sandwich is the Dutch Bread that they use. I don't know what Dutch Bread is but all I can say is it's freaking delicious. Crunchy yet soft, chewy yet crisp... it definitely took the sandwich to another level. The only possible gripe I have is the price. At $18/pop, it's definitely no $5 footlong (which doesn't exist anymore anyway), but at least it comes with a can of soda and a bag of chips included. If I think of that as a $3 combo upcharge, then ~$15 for just the sandwich alone starts to sound a bit more reasonable. In any case, I'll definitely be back. They also have a great selection of high quality steaks, steak rubs, salsas, and more. Can't wait to try some of the meats.

Due to the scores of positive Yelp reviews, this shop has been on my radar for some time. After this visit, my question went from, "Is it as good as they say?" to, "When should I come back again?" STORE LAYOUT: When you look around, you can tell that the owner wanted to create an elevated experience when visiting La Carniceria Wagyu. The color scheme of matte black with gold trim on the front desk, floor mat, etc. makes you feel as if you're stepped into a fine Vegas steakhouse. On the shelves behind the front counter, a golden bull and a Wagyu certification sits on display. The inside is sleek, modern, and pristine. On the right, the glass deli counter displays an array of delectable meats & house prepared sides. On the left are shelves full of tortillas, spices, marinades, salsas, and more. You can watch one of the bundled up workers prepare your ordered meats through a wide window which peers into a refrigerated room. Towards the front, you'll find a selection of sodas and chips. Their menu focuses on a set selection of made-to-order subs. Prices range from $17 up to $23, but each sandwich comes with a canned soda and your choice of side (chips, Cajun potato salad, or pesto macaroni salad). FOOD: PESTO MAC: When it comes to sides, the pesto macaroni salad is easily number one. It has a delightful level of bright, basil flavors coating the macaroni. The Cajun potato salad starts off with a zesty, yummy bite, but, it becomes too much quickly. SMOKED WAGYU PASTRAMI: I split their Smoked Wagyu Pastrami ($23). This sandwich comes on a toasted, marbled rye stuffed with tender pastrami along with tangy sauerkraut, island dressing, and slightly sweet fig onion marmalade. The cheese pull from the melted mozzarella is pure satisfaction. Slightly pricey but well worth it! PRIME STEAK SANDWICH: My personal fave was the Prime Steak Sandwich ($18). A crunchy Dutch baguette loaded with juicy prime steak, mixed greens, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and Swiss/Provolone. Every bite, even to the end, was utter joy. Add this place to your eats-to-check-out list!

Been hearing great things about this place,so I decided to check it out for lunch today. I ordered the wagyu pastrami sandwich and the havana (their version of a Cubano) Every sandwich comes with a bag of chips and soda/water from their selection. I didn't expect that but was a cool surprise given the price point of the sandwiches. The meat used for the sandwiches was top shelf. So delicious and well seasoned . The bread was a little too toasty for my liking but good nonetheless. Service was fast and staff was helpful and courteous. Curious to try their wagyu Burger Pattie's next time.

Was interested in trying this place. Happy to have a butcher shop in the neighborhood. Off the beaten path, in a tired, odd little retail strip. Have had sandwiches from this place on two occasions. Employees nice enough, but sandwiches didn't impress and the pricing is, well...... out of touch for take-out sando's. Also tried to use their butchering services. They didn't have what I was looking for, but said they could order it. I went to another butcher. Underwhelming and overpriced. If you want to pay top dollar for an average (at best) sandwich or gimmick cut of meat..... this might be your place.

Came here from an Instagram reel I saw and it looked delicious! I was so excited to try it and got my dad to come with me! One of the guys, whom I believe is the owner, was so so nice and helpful. Unfortunately one of the other employees wasn't so lovely and was a bit rude, ignoring us when we walked in and not looking at us when speaking to us which made the store kinda unwelcoming it took out a lot of the excitement that comes when trying somewhere new. The sandwiches are good but they are also quite expensive, maybe like $20 a sandwich is a bit steep. Otherwise it was decently good tho !

Haven't even tried the sandwich yet, but I'm already upset! I asked the guy making the sandwich to please add pickle...he said he couldn't change the menu...PICKLES!!! I didn't ask for extra meat or anything extra. I asked for freaking pickles!!! You pay 25 dollars for a sandwich and they can't put 4 Pickles on it!! This sandwich better be exceptional cuz their service is NOT!!!! IM SHOCKED

I found this place when I was hunting for good quality meat for my at-home tacos. I really like their pre-marinated meats. Makes cooking such a breeze and the flavor is so delicious. The pollo asada & carne asada are both great. I recommend grilling them for an even better taste! The quality is definitely there with the meats. I love that they offer fresh salsas, tortillas, & seasoning. I've tried their salsa verde and flour tortillas which were great. The service was friendly and fast. The shop is fairly small, so it's definitely a to-go place (they offer sandwiches too so there's no place to sit). 4/5 since I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but I'm sure they're just as good as the fresh meats!

La carniceria wagyu is more than a carniceria. They offer a variety of good quality meat sandwiches. It was my very first time here. I was working around the area and decided to grab some food before heading back hime. Food ordered: Smoked Wagyu pastrami sandwich. 10/10 fresh, great quality meat. Pastrami sandwich like not other so far. Comes in a meal with chips & can soda/water bottle. Service: Great. The environment is clean. I recommend.

Finally a simple, yet elegant shop with quality food. Had the prime steak sandwich, and it was amazing. As a new resident in the area I will definitely be coming back. Can't wait to take some of their steaks home to grill.

Fresh, high quality delicious carne asada, chorizo and chicken! Not to mention excellent, friendly customer service. This is my new carniceria of choice! Great ambiance, clean, lots of selection and price points.

I came here last second (after calling) to pick up some thinly sliced beef to make a Philly Cheesesteak and they saved the day! Originally I bought the wrong kind of steak so they saved me when trying to make the recipe that I wanted! It was out of the norm, but the guy was able to cut the meat thinner than usual for me which helped me create the chopped effect for my cheesesteaks. It was rich and flavorful meat and I got tons of compliments on the food! They had a few customers in there around 4:30 in the afternoon, but not really a wait so it was good timing. It was clean and well-maintained ! Definitely will be coming back for their specials in the deli area-- on Wednesdays you can get a special on beef and they often have combo specials that include a free drink and bag of chips.

Listen, the sandwiches are tasty, I won't lie. But 24$ tasty? I ordered 3 wagucci trio sandwiches for my coworkers and I. After I paid nearly 80$ for these 3 combos I was told that they were out of one of the 3 meats, pastrami, I was still charged full price and given turkey as a substitute. A valiant effort. No discount, no warning. I'd say if you got money to burn take a shot if not, more hype than meat. I added a photo they took of the wagucci trio vs what I got . #Fuccisandwich

Came here to try the smoked wagyu pastrami with smoked mozzarella. They have a good variety of meats and sandwiches here. Each sandwich comes with a soda and bag of chips which adds a nice touch. There is no inside seating to eat so everything is to go. I saw everything from halal chicken and sandwiches to steaks like tomahawks and i saw some A5 wagyu so they have it all. They are in the same parking lot as 7-11. Customer service was great! Wagyu pastrami rating 8.4

Great ambience, amazing customer service, and the meat selection is superb!! We got 2 sandwiches and they were both soooo yummy!!!! They have homemade tortillas and salsas as well. Will definitely come back to try more stuff so happy we finally got a chance to try this place out!

Some quality meat cuts here. The Wagyu is no joke and don't sleep on the marinated chicken! I can also suggest the pastrami wagyu. They make it in house and serve it up hot. It's a great meal and can easily be shared. The dudes behind the counter were cool and didn't try to upsell or anything. Also make sure to try the seasoned chips. They are great with some asada.

Super good wagyu sandwiches hidden in brea! Inside is very clean. I called to order sandwiches to go and it was ready within 15 minutes. We ordered the hot house which was my favorite, and the grilled cheese wagyu which was pretty good. It comes with chips and a drink. I'll definitely be returning!

Awesome sandwiches, kinda pricey but worth it in terms of quality and taste. I had the smoked wagyu pastrami and it was fantastic, especially the marble rye bread. You can get chips and a drink included, or sub out the chips for potato/pasta salad. It's not a sit-down type of place but they have 2 sets of patio tables and chairs in front to sit and eat at.

We got the smoked wagyu sandwich with the fig onion marmalade on rye. Honestly, probably within the top 3-5 sandwiches I have had in my life. The way the construct the sandwich from bread, sauerkraut, pastrami, sauerkraut, fig marmalade, pastrami, cheese, etc - makes for a very balanced bite each and every time. The service was also very quick and there are a few tables outside to sit and eat. Will DEFINITELY be coming back.

So glad I got my wagyu cherry popped from here. Perfectly marbled meat. It was tough to choose what sandwich to try for the first time as they offer a variety of scrumptious choices! But ended up trying the Smoked Wagyu Pastrami, since the amazing Andres was gracious enough to sub the marble rye bread for the Dutch crunch bread since I really wanted to taste the Dutch Crunch. Meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, Dutch Crunch bread lived up to its hype. Was dense and doughy with just a hint of sweet, and it had a squishy crumb that can support a hefty pile of sliced meat. Sister got the Wagyu Roast Sub and tasted one bite of that and you can really tell in that sandwich the high quality of the meat in that one in comparison to average joes deli meats elsewhere. The price may seem pricier than you'd like, however the quality is worth it AND you get chips & a beverage of choice with it! The service from the cashier (Andrea) and Andre was super helpful; especially when I was undecided on what to get. They were both patient enough to answer my Qs and made sure I had the best 1st time experience! The shop was clean, organized, and had an easy-to-read menu. Because of this all around amazing experience and other yummy sandwiches that I'd like to try next time, I'm definitely coming back with sister! And spreading the word about this hidden gem!

I'll tell you this right off the bat. Parking sucks! Now back to the food. Nice clean butcher shops with high quality meats! Got sandwiches and they are so damn good. 12/10 broke the scale. Got the prime steak and grilled cheese. So flavorful. So juicy. You gonna eat them fast and messy so grab some napkins. The workers have great attitudes and very friendly. I will be coming back to get some meats to grill. Come try it out

The price might seem to be up there if you don't know a thing or 2 about meat, honesly it is a fair price for the absolute unit of flavor! The guys here are hard workers and are super friendly and happy to help you

Saw this spot on Instagram and visited as quick as possible! The moment we walked in, it smelled so good - instantly hungry!! We got 3 sandwiches for 2 and each came with a bag of "dirty" brand chips (the ones that you find at Ike's) and a drink of your choice. Thanks to Daniel for setting the tone and helping us with our order :) Waygu Pastrami panini - comes on a wheat bread, bread is a little dry but love me a simple grilled cheese with some Waygu to make it that fancy touch! Trio - cold sandwich, comes with a lot of veggies, and the spicy brown / Dijon mustard really comes through. It's quite wet with all the sauces so it gets a little messy you want to eat this one first Smoked Waygu pastrami - this comes on Dutch bread and the meat is cooked to perfection!! Definitely my favorite of the three Superb customer service. Top notch selections. Will be back for that jar of chimichurri and macaroni salad!

Smoked Wagyu Pastrami with smoked mozzarella, sauerkraut on a delicious thick marble rye. You cannot go wrong. Marble rye is one of my favorite breads for sandwiches and this place did not disappoint. The meat is usually cooked a little rare but because I can only consume fully cooked meats, the person who made my sandwich happily cooked it thoroughly for me and it was spectacular. All sandwiches come with chips and a drink. Be careful though for those who have peanut allergies, the chips are made with peanut oil. I also received a side of potato salad. In all, everything was great! The down side is that there is absolutely no seating inside.

First time coming here and the selection of meat is all high quality. Limited cuts but nothing under Australian Wagyu BMS 8. For those who know meat know this is a place to visit. Highly recommended!!!
