A must see next time you are in Deia. Just as his grave in the local cemetery, Robert Graves' house was equally very humble, but it somehow manages to give a sence of grandeur and excellence to the villa and surrounding gardens. It's nestled by vinards, olive trees, and an array of colourful flowers and other Mediterranean shrubs.
The view from the trreaces is breathtaking.
As you wall through the door into the hall a coat hanger greets you with a series of straw hats and overalls the type the local used to wear. I wont say more, even though Im tempted. Its for you to see and enjoy as much as I am my family enjoyed being there and experiencing a multitude of sentimens which in a strange way makes you humble by the grandeur of such an outstanding man and prolific writer, poet and playwrite. I thoroughly recommend it.
