Lovely find! Though we had made a mistake as we pulled up into a weird looking small strip mall, luckily I was wrong. Upon entering around 5pmish I immediately told my wife, this place is full with reservations, we might not get a table. The young lady that greeted us at the door went back spoke with someone and in the best way possible told us they could give is a table but that they had a reservation in a little less than 2 hours. To us it was more than enough time and we were very grateful for the option vs telling us no. Food was great and the prosciutto quality on the appetizer was amazing, both pastas were also great. Espresso menu!?!!!! Really!!! I come to this area for work often and I have never found decent espresso anywhere. I am coming back after work just for the lovely espresso. Besides the food all staff was attentive. What a lovely find. I will be back!!!

We very much enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is filled with Italian charm. Relatively small dining area but tables aren’t crowded. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekends. We ordered the gnocchi and fettuccine Alfredo with the cheese wheel. Pricey for sure, but definitely something worth experiencing at least once! Their bread was probably the worst part of the whole meal- very dry and tasteless. However, their tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend! They also served some little cookie type things and a creamy dip along with the check and those were delightful as well. Overall, a beautiful experience!

Had the best Birthday Dinner, the restaurant is so nice and authentic Italian feel made me miss being in Italy, the food is delicious. The service was excellent! Everyone was so kind, the chef even came around the ask us how everything was. 10 out of 10 highly recommend !

Amazing night with my wife for my 37th birthday dinner. It was everything I knew it would be. The atmosphere is as authentic as what I would believe a true Italian household would be. The owners and staff made us feel like we were at home. Excellent choice of recommendations on wine. We loved every second here and will be returning. Thank you!

Wife had a jonesing for the fettuccini at Casa della Pasta, so we went. Its NOT fetticcini alfredo. Made with pasta in a huge Romano cheese wheel and a torch to melt the cheese as the pasta is swirled around in the melted sauce. Done tableside and quite a show. Sadly, only the owner does this and he was off. No joy. Generally they are excellent. They grow their own herbs in front. As usual the staff is very sweet and attentive as last night. Sadly I was disappointed. I ordered a light meal of Bruschetta and a Caprice salad. Wife had a pasta with Chicken. Sadly not much chicken, and it was more al dente for for my taste, but wife liked it. The pictured note was on the table which is disappointing . We always tip 20%, but not tonite. I did leave a few dollars for the very sweet server and left a note for the owners. The problem with my meal was that they used tomatoes that were not ready to be served. Not soft and not reddened. This extended to the caprice and bruchetta. Caprice is usually Mozzarella, tomatoes, onions and Basil. No onions, one basil leaf and a smattering of pesto on the plate. I asked for more. 2 glasses of wine, and with the service charge and tip I left, it was a $100 meal. I could have done better at home, especially with my meal. Tonight was a miss. Maybe because the owner was off? Go for that fettuccine. $31 for a plate of pasta and cheese, but worth it.

Today was my husband's birthday, and we ventured out to La Casa Della Pasta. The food was really great. The service was also really good. I enjoyed the Parmigiano wheel. That was a treat. I've never experienced that type of preparation before. I had the risotto with shrimp. The entrée was delicious. My husband and father-in-law had the chicken piccata. Both enjoyed the meal. Although they did not like the pasta that came with it. The chicken and vegetables were cooked and seasoned well. Mu daughter had the gnocchi. She really enjoyed her entrée. Overall, it was a good and pleasant experience. I'd visit again. My meal was very good, and for four people, the price, quality, and quantity of food were aligned. Reservations are encouraged. The restaurant was filled very quickly. Nearly all the tables were full with guests. There is plenty of parking.

Every now and then we all need some place to have a good quiet meal and recover from any given atrocities life will randomly throw at you. For me, this is that place. Granted you'll find it packed during weekend evenings and will need to reserve, but if you catch them for an early dinner, on a Wednesday or Tuesday, you will have some of the best this family's culture has to offer. From the heart, with no pretension, the only way the most authentic Italian can possibly come to be. E posso parlare italiano solo dopo aver mangiato qui. Grazie mille! -Erix

Yelp
the experience starts with service... Ally was exceptional!! super knowledgeable about the menu and personality was through the roof! Stephanie was super attentive, making sure we never needed a thing. The short rib risotto was beyond amazing... bolognese was incredible... shout out to the chefs!! Can't wait to continue exploring this menu

Yelp
We went for Mother's Day, they opened for lunch that special day, usually they only open for dinner. We had the Italian staples: Beef Lasagna, Ravioli a la vodka and rigatoni bolognese. Tiramisu for dessert everything was perfect. Service was very pleasant in a family-oriented environment.

Yelp
Food was great, a little pricey but some dishes are definitely worth it. The ambience is cool, they have these candles in wine bottles for each table , and they give you a book with the check that you can write in. It's a cool personal touch. The one knock is that our server was not great and it looked like they do services by committee. Not a great way to motivate for a good tip, however you get on a 20% service fee so kinda get why it wasn't great

Yelp
If you have not gone to La Casa Della Pasta, you are missing out! It is located in a very unassuming strip mall, but don't let the location fool you! You are greeted at the door and I would suggest making reservations to be sure to get a table, They have a wonderful wine and beer list, The Fettuccine prepared table side in a wheel of Parmigiana is a signature dish and must be experienced! All of the food is absolutely delicious, I particularly like anything in their Bolognese! Save room for deserts as their Chocolate Mousse should not be missed, but the Tiramisu is delightful as well. The staff here is very attentive and the owners keep their eyes on all the details.

Amelia L.

Yelp
My husband and I came for a date night on a Saturday night. We did make a reso through OpenTable just in case. The restaraunt is definitely a hidden gem! We got the lasagna, which was some of the best I've ever had! We also got the Bolognese which was great as well. The owners came and checked multiple times to make sure everything came out good and was well at the table. Going to come back for sure!

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here since I was craving Italian food and this place is AWESOME! The ragu pappardelle was fire! I could tell the noodles were homemade and the meat was tender. Such a great pasta dish. The linguine seafood mix was so delicious too. It was flavorful and I couldn't stop eating! The sauce had a little kick but it wasn't spicy. It was flavorful and hit the spot. I called for takeout and it was ready in 20 mins. Definitely would come back! So delicious!

Yelp
This definitely one of my favorites Italian restaurants in the TAMPA Their serves are so friendly and attentives, they have a good location with enough parking, the place is so clean and quiet. If you are Lasagna team you have to try this one, it's crazy. And for Carbonara teams like me, this is my favorite with a lot of cheese of course. I'll be back soon, obviously.

Robert C.

Yelp
Everyone loved their pasta entrees. Lots of delicious choices on the menu. We'll need to go back a few times to try ones that sounded good. Service was well paced and not rushed. It was not crowded or noisy, but we went on a Wednesday so that was to be expected.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely delicious!!! We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and all of the dishes we ordered were incredible. The place is very cozy with an elegant touch, it makes you feel at home. The service was excellent, we were 13 and the food arrived at the same time for everyone and was hot. They were always attentive and checking on us to make sure we have everything we needed. I must say, our reservation was at 8:30 pm and when we arrived they kindly told us that we had to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 9, it seemed a little illogical to let so many people make a reservation at 8:30 to close the kitchen 30 minutes later, however they never rushed us, the service was incredible and as I said before the food came out super fast, hot and delicious. We finished with tiramisu and wow it was delicious, it felt homemade. Without a doubt I would return to this restaurant. PS: It is essential to make a reservation in advance because this restaurant is almost always full.

Yelp
Pros: Beautiful Restaurant! Very cozy for a date night. I ordered a plate full of gnocchi! It was delicious . The side of fettuccine was okay. I wish the sauce had more bite but I've trained my palate for extra sharp cheese. The Chocolate Mousse was divine! I'm sure I'll pay for that later! Con's: I felt a little rushed by the waitresses. I had two and they each took turns with my table. It was my first visit to the restaurant and I don't remember being given recommendations or asked if I had questions. Bill came to $89 (included tip and 20% gratuity) for myself and my 6 year old who began to pout as she would have preferred their chocolate cake vs. the mousse .

Yelp
This is a gem of a find if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Reservation is definitely recommended but they were able to accommodate a table for two when we arrived. The interior has been renovated (since the old taco place) with charming decor and Italian themed ambiance. You can see the owners take pride in their services and it also reflects in their wait staff. To start, they brought along various bread and dips to get you in the Italian feasting mood. With so many choices of regular dishes, we opted in for the special menu starting with the Speck and Brie, which was a perfect warm appetizer to start. The main courses were the Fettuccine Parma Wheel which were prepared tableside with an 24 month aged Parma cheese wheel from Italy; and Eggplant Parma which is freshly prepared and large enough to eat for two! Both dishes were uniquely made and the tastes were amazing. We ended with tiramisu as it's a must have for any Italian restaurant. It's homemade with simple and delicious flavors. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
We arrived at the restaurant on time, and our reserved table was waiting for us. Our servers were waiting to take a drink order, and brought over warm bread, breadsticks and infused oil for dipping. The wine list was extensive, and we ordered wine. A Della pasta salad was ordered and was delicious with a light dressing, fruit, lettuces and tomatoes. 2 of our diners ordered the freshly made fettuccine Alfredo made in front of us in wheel of parmigiana cheese, with a torch. An order of frutti da mare over linguine was ordered, an order of pasta with shrimp also. Everything came out hot and wonderful. Service was terrific, and the owner came over to add his personal touches as well.

Yelp
My first experience with Casa Della Pasta was very positive. I picked up dinner for my wife and I and the restaurant's decor was very inviting and warm, I will definitely be dining in next time. I had the penne rustica and my wife got spaghetti with sauce. The portions were generous, so the next day I had her spaghetti and she had my penne rustica. Both were very delicious, the sauces for both dishes were exceptional. The most surprising thing was how satisfying the spaghetti was, something special was going on with that dish. I came in early for my pick up and to meet the husband and wife owners. Very nice people with an obvious love of good food and warm hospitality. From the table bread to the last little bit of the creme Brule, it was a delight.

Kenneth D.

Yelp
"For me, it felt like dining in Italy--where not only the food is exquisite, but something else, often missing in other Italian restaurants, is found in abundance: warm, heartfelt Italian hospitality." So glad to have found this place.

Edward B.

Yelp
Wonderful experience with staff and owners, beautiful family vibe. The food authentic with good proportions and an interesting education on wines for those like me who need explanation. Great wine variety! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came to celebrate a friend's birthday and also ended up celebrating the food, even tho I couldn't order the whole menu (I wanted to) I got to try a few different dishes that my friends ordered, while the pastas and lasagna had a very authentic italian flavor, I wouldn't say it is the same case for the appetizers, felt a little bit basic and sort of on the frozen food side. Their attention was immaculate, I can't recall a moment of our night were someone wasn't at our table making sure everything was looking good and tasting amazing, great when you have a big table. Also even tho they close at 9:30PM, our reservation was for 8:30PM and I'm pretty sure we stayed past 10PM and never felt rushed to leave, even on our way out they were really kind saying goodbye and thank you. I will definitely come back, great place!

Yelp
We had a great experience here. We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated. Our server Ally was very helpful and efficient. There is a large wine list. The food was very good especially the smoked burrata. Veal was a little tough but otherwise it was all lovely and we will return.

Kelsea S.

Yelp
Came in last night and the food was amazing. Not sure of the girls names that were working but the service was outstanding and they were both super friendly. Definitely felt welcomed from the second we walked in. 10/10 will be back!

Yelp
Food was definitely five star again in context. Same with service. As we are at a white dinner, I have to take the wine into account. Admittedly, I am a bit of a wine snob - wine was solidly decent to good. The most important factor is if I ask, we will be back anytime they have a wine dinner. I will post the menu and pics. The two pasta dishes really stood out for me. Would have either for a main course or if I could find a way I would do both

Doug W.

Yelp
Had dinner here with my son, grandson, and son's girlfriend a few weeks ago at the suggestion of my grandson. We both love cheese and he told me about the Fettuccine Alfredo prepared and finished table-side in a 1/2 Parmesan wheel. He had tried this on his first trip here and loved it. We had to make two trips there because our first visit was on a Tuesday which was the owner's day off. He is the only one allowed to prepare this (a detail we didn't know). Even with that, the food we did try was fantastic as was the wine selection. Our second visit, on Friday, was even better. Even though the restaurant was almost packed full, the staff was completely on point and helpful with our food and wine selections. This restaurant will be on our "must visit " list every time we go to Tampa. Thank you for a wonderful meal!!! Doug & Charlene & family

Yelp
Great atmosphere but I wouldn't recommend for little ones. Food was very good but a bit pricey

Yelp
We've enjoyed this locally owned, very welcoming, authentic Italian restaurant both during the week as well as on weekends. The owners are friendly and take pride in their restaurant, their staff and their menu. This is also reflected in the wonderful hospitality of their staff. The food is fresh and made to order with a nice variety of pasta, risotto, meat and fish options. If you're looking for your go to Italian cuisine in the North Tampa (convenient to Carrollwood, Northdale and Citrus Park) area, I highly recommend La Casa Della Pasta

Gleidys C.

Yelp
I had high expectations with this restaurant . My experience was bad. The food was good but the service was horrible we felt discriminate , they took some type of bread to all the tables except ours . The waitress never came to check on us and you can see the difference between how they treat the other people and us. The ambiance was ok! Definitely not coming back.
google avatar

Francine C.

Yelp
La Casa Della Pasta fell significantly short of expectations, particularly disappointing given it was Valentine's Day. The main courses were served cold, with a lackluster presentation that left much to be desired. The dining experience was further marred by erratic service, characterized by a revolving door of servers, which disrupted the meal's flow. Desserts, while aiming to impress, tipped the scale towards overly sweet, failing to provide a balanced end to the meal. Additionally, the rushed atmosphere detracted from the romantic setting one would expect on such a special occasion. Overall, La Casa Della Pasta did not live up to the hopes of a memorable Valentine's Day dinner. Food unfortunately fell short of expectations didn't even take pictures at the table, this was the left overs after one day in the fridge as well it was unappealing to the eye and inedible
google avatar

Kush M.

Yelp
This place definitely is La Casa Della Pasta. We got the fettuccine from the wheel (fettuccine Alfredo) made in the Parmigiano Reggiano wheel (a fancy and expensive cheese wheel from a small village in Italy) that tasted so amazing! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the cheese was full of flavor! The service was excellent. The servers were attentive and respectful. The staff was very friendly and kind to us. When you arrive, the location is a bit sketchy, but when you walk in, it's a completely different story. This place gives a nice traditional Italian vibe and ambiance that is perfect for a celebration or any other event you're celebrating.

Yelp
I live about two blocks from this restaurant. So, I took out-of-town guests there on a Wednesday night. I sure can see why it has won Best Of The Bay for five years running. Great food, great service, beautiful surroundings. The food seems like authentic Northern Italian cooking. I plan to go back many times from now on.
google avatar

Yelp
La Casa Della Pasta is a good option to head towards if you are craving Italian food and are in the Tampa, Florida area. The menu is interesting and the staff was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was pretty stellar, as well. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere to it. It is warm and a great place to sit down and enjoy a lovely Italian feast. I woukd definitely recommend this top notch restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant was voted "Best Italian in the Bay" four years running. I'm not sure I agree with that. The atmosphere is nice, but not at all outstanding. Service was good but not above & beyond. The prices would suggest that it would be. Average size portions so no need for a take home bag, unusual for an Italian restaurant. All the pasta is homemade & served Al dente, which is usually a wonderful thing. We started out with their lentil soup which was very good but not worth the price. Onto the entrees. We chose the meat ravioli & lasagna. I have never seen bite size ravioli (except the ones in the can). While they were good, I didn't get the full taste of the meat because there was definitely more pasta surrounding it than there was meat. They were actually about the size of tortellini, very odd. The lasagna was good but not outstanding. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was outstanding!! The cappuccino was a serving size of what espresso normally would be (dixie cup maybe), which was again disappointing. The sauce and pasta were tasty. But again, we've had better local Italian food at much less of a cost. Best in the Bay? Hardly!
google avatar

Yelp
OMG, this place is amazing!!! Wow the food is so fresh and delicious. If you like a quiet, quaint place where you can actually have a conversation, this is your places. I can't say enough about this place. It's definitely my go to place for date night.

Yelp
A visit to little Italy!! This restaurant is about 40 minutes from where I live but I was out in the area and saw a sigh for brunch and said LETS GO! They are in a strip mall right at the corner. You will enter by going under the stairs. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Upon entering, we were unsure if we should have brought kids but they were so welcoming! There is a beautiful romantic ambiance about this place. Authentic food, intimate tables, and an in-house pianist playing some Italian favorites! BRING YOUR APPETITE!! So the brunch is all set up on a big table that is continually being filled fresh. You go up to the table and tell them what you would like. If you're unsure, just ask! They will let you know what they have! You can go up and get more food as many times as you like so you don't have to pile everything onto just one plate. Mr. Franco was serving up the dishes and was so sweet and helpful! They also have bottomless mimosas and Mrs. Mara is on it for keeping your glass full! They are open for brunch every Sunday except the 1st Sunday of each month. The dishes change weekly and there are always 2 chicken dishes and 3 pasta dishes (chicken alfredo is always an option!) Kids were also half price! We will definitely make the drive out again. We enjoyed this so much and highly recommend for a date, out with friends, or even family!

Yelp
Owner is rude! See responses to concerned diners & with Espositos & even a drive to Mazzaros we Tampa Natives of 65 yrs are used to working side by side with Italiano families who are business owners, (especially global travelers) my hubby a port executive for 51 yrs, paid for our appetizers & drinks & those of two other couples who witnessed how staff carried on. We were actually shocked when a staffer said he was actually the owner-loud & obtrusive + he went in & on!! Raised in West Tampa, daughter of a dad with 7 daughters & this is not how any proprietor in Italia acts! Just ask Bobby Flay how they survive in the very competitive Vegas

Yelp
The service has been consistently prompt and friendly. Pasta isn't overcooked. Food is delicious.

If you're looking for your go to Italian cuisine in the North Tampa (convenient to Carrollwood, Northdale and Citrus Park) area, I highly recommend La Casa Della Pasta.

Kelly N.

Yelp
Delicious!! I was disappointed to find out I couldn't order the pasta done in the cheese wheel because the owner wasn't there and she's the only one who can do it, but after trying a chicken penne on their menu I will definitely be coming back to get that next!

Yelp
Inconsistent food, one day great, next day very sad! Service is good, but you never know what you're gonna get food wise!

Yelp
Great spot and the best owners! Restaurant has wonderful food and the energenic staff is terrific. A must visit when you're in the north Tampa area.

Yelp
Food, service & Ambiance is exceptional. Friendly staff, nice wine list. Good old home cooking.

Yelp
Ok this place is SO CUTE. When you walk in you see these massive bottles of wine and Italian prints all over the restaurants. Each table comes adorned with a white table cloth and a bottle of wine with a tapered candle melting over it for the perfect dimly date night. After we got seated we got to taste two different wines before selecting what we went with. Our server recommended two different ones based on my description of likes and don't likes. Both were amazing. We ordered a bottle to split. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive. We never had to refill our own glasses of wine. Could not have asked for better service. If I could rate service higher than five stars I would. She was that good. For the food; They serve their own homemade breadsticks and bread with their own dipping sauce. It was phenomenal. We ordered Arancini to start and they were the best I've ever had. It came with homemade marinara and it is hands down the best marinara sauce I've ever had. I didn't want to share. For entrees we ordered the farfalle all's salciccia and the ravioli formaggio all's vodka. The farfalle was good but not great. 3/5. The ravioli was amazing. A total hit at the table. Would absolutely order again. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
My husband and I were SUPER excited to try LA Casa della pasta because they serve their fettuccine Alfredo dish tableside in a cheese wheel. We even told our friends about it and they went 2 weeks prior to us. We went Saturday night and asked about the dish and were disappointed to hear they weren't doing it that night. That along with the stale complimentary bread was the low for the evening. Our server was super sweet and attentive and the pasta dishes were very good. I tried my dad's chicken and spinach dish and it was a little bland for us. To be honest, I'm not sure if we'll try it again. It was good, but for us, not worth the drive. I guess we'll be sticking with our usual Italian spot.
google avatar

Emmy S.

Yelp
I was super super excited to try this place, and I was a little disappointed. We had a big group and the waitstaff did a great job handling our party; we only had one problem when the wrong type of ravioli was brought out but they quickly fixed it. My sister and I both got the spaghetti Aragosta and we thought it was good but not necessarily $30 good. Maybe $24 but that's not rlly a super big deal. For dessert, we got cannoli and Tiramisu; the TIramisu was phenomenal , but the cannoli was melted which was sad.

Yelp
Once again we had a wonderful dinner here and everyone was quite pleased with their food. For appetizers we started with the calamari and the rice balls. Both were spectacular! Calamari was perfectly fried lightly salted and came with a delicious dipping sauce. In my case I dipped my calamari in marinara sauce and that was also quite delicious. The rice balls are to die for. Perfectly fried but not overdone absolutely delicious. For our entrées we had the snapper, ravioli, and the flounder franchise. Everyone was quite happy with their entrees. In fact one of our diners decided that they were still hungry because they didn't have lunch and ordered a plain risotto. It was quite good --creamy with the delicious texture -- top-notch stuff. For dessert we had the Panna Cotta standard and cappuccino flavor and both were quite good and different from each other which means that they were made from scratch. And while it's not on the menu if you decide you want a, sangria order one, you won't be disappointed. We did and it was made from scratch and was absolutely delightful. They also have four different kinds of espresso on the desert menu -- all Lavazza brand. What could be better? The service is always prompt and you were well attended to. All that for three and our bill was just under $200. In this case you get exactly what you pay for and more. The owners are super nice people.

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing Service! Family Owned Restaurant that has the most fresh-tasting food I've had in a while. The lasagna and fettuccine was so good and I will definitely be back to try the veal! Mara and Franco, the owners, have created a family feel restaurant with authentic italian cuisine that rivals the best italian spots in tampa such as Nabruzzi's and Casa Cosenza and to be honest...this might be the best spot of them all.

Andy F.

Yelp
Best Italian food in Tampa, served in a warm family-like atmosphere by happy staff! This review is being written after three consecutive Saturday night visits to La Casa Della Pasta. No "flash in the pan" first impression here. We were coming off a truly disappointing Valentines/Birthday dinner for my wife at Donatello and tried these folks the following Saturday night. How refreshing! Donatello can keep their photos of dead celebrities, the dirty carpet, collapsed cushions, overcooked seafood, misguided customers and depressing staff - never again. As stated, we came back to La Casa Della Pasta two more times and ate there just last night (3/2/2024). The space is brightly decorated and while being a nice size room, is not loud. You can chat with your guests easily. The wine list is extensive - each time we chose a modestly priced Columbia Valley Cabernet, Andrew Januik 2019 that was superb. The Eggplant Rolatini appetizer was delightful, reminding me of my Italian mother's manicotti but with a paper-thin eggplant wrap. We thought about ordering another, it was so creamy and tasty! Over the three visits I have had the pappardelle in a puttanesca sauce, bowties and sausage, and last night the flounder Francais. Their pasta is incredibly light and flavorful, and not once did I wish I had chosen something else. Truth be told, pappardelle makes me weak in the knees. I don't know where it has been all my life but I am a devotee of this noodle-like pasta now. Although not on the menu coupled with puttanesca sauce, they cheerfully complied with my wish to marry them. The ample amount of sausage that came with the bowtie pasta was beautifully prepared and included those lovely fragrant fennel seeds. Their flounder is battered and crisp on the edges while moist and tender within. The fish was accompanied by capers and a medley of fresh vegetables and pasta and was a sensory delight. I simply love everything I have had there. Next time we visit I have to get over my shyness and have the owner prepare the fettuccini at tableside for us. So many diners were seen enjoying it! My only regret is that we are flying home to NY today and our next reservation at La Casa Della Pasta will be months away. Thank you to the owners and staff for such wonderful service, food, and for a memorable experience - you rescued us from the dismal meal we had at Donatello and we will be back for sure!

Yelp
This restaurant had some of the best pasta I have had in Tampa. I saw their food on @whitegirl_eats Instagram and she highly recommended it. I took my fiancé there for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It's never a good sign when the first thing they bring to your table is bread, and the bread is stale. The dipping olive oil however was delicious. My Caesar, which the website claims includes anchovies...had no anchovies. And speaking of the website, it's hopelessly out of date. Prices on the hardcopy menu they pass out are about 10% higher than the website pricing. This needs to be fixed. Had I been paying I would have protested. I ordered the tortellini which supposedly is filled with beef...but the alleged beef was tasteless, if there at all. The tortellini, in a rich sauce of four cheeses, is good...but after the third bite or so it becomes monotonous. Less tortellini with a side of a tart foil of greens would be a big improvement. For $26 I'm sure this is doable. Service was good. The decor? Eh... In sum this is a second-rate Italian restaurant that gets rave reviews because it's in Tampa. Enough said.

Yelp
Place seemed to be a legitimate Italian spot, holds a title of "best Italian food in Tampa" but the experience my girlfriend and I had was far from it. Immediately after we entered we wore swarmed by unprofessional teenagers, our order wasn't taken for at least 15 minutes while we sat there. We decided on calamari as an appetizer and it was chewy, so when I requested a different appetizer I was laughed at, thankfully when it came it was fairly decent and held us over until the food came 30 minutes later and it was terrible

Yelp
Waiter was rude. In a horrible, down run plaza. Don't get the Black Pasta with shrimp nor the Black Truffle Sausage. Horrible food presentation. Shrimp over seasoned in garlic. Sausage was probably frozen not fresh. Risotto was over cooked, and salty. Not worth the price. Ambiance was mediocre

Yelp
Service was great. We had the caccio e Pepe and the penne a la rústica. For the price I believe the caccio e peppe is underwhelming. Very little for a lot of $$$. The penne allá rústica was very good. The service was exceptional.

Yelp
I brought my wife for her birthday dinner. We started with a bruchetta (good) and salad (good but a little weird because of the olives and pineapple). Her main request for her birthday was to have an excellent mushroom risotto. Mission accomplished! I got to try it, it was richer and more flavorful than most risotto I've had (honestly, I find it bland and overrated usually). My eggplant parm was great (probably because it seemed like 80% cheese and 20% eggplant). Portions were good and prices reasonable. A good choice for an Italian data night without getting too fancy or breaking the bank.
