I last visited La Casa Toscana when they were located in Anaconda, so it had been years and I was excited to return and as a plus experience their change in location. Brought my husband this time.
We had made reservations online and were greeted by Amanda immediately upon entry to the restaurant. She seated us quickly and even gave us a choice between 2 different tables/spots. I would say on this particular Friday night at 6pm is was not busy, a handful of open tables- however it did get busier before our evening ended.
Such a beautiful space and atmosphere. Amanda was our waitress and she was a gem- very attentive and sweet. Food was fantastic: lasagna... chef's kiss all around- loved that it wasn't spicy and was not made with Italian sausage. Very cheesy and tasted like a homemade meal- but from Italy... and made with lots of love. 🙂 Filet mignon... husband said it was great, although he did order medium rare and felt it came out rare/blue. But he did say it tasted excellent. We enjoyed the drinks from the bar as well. We agree it is a worthy, romantic location- just mind your wallet- $$$-$$$$. I would definitely return as a first choice! (I think hubby would return because I go). We spent $177 ((4 alcoholic drinks (2 per person), 1 soda, 1 seperately ordered appetizer, two 4-course meals)) not including tip.
My husband, nor I, at any point felt like a burden or neglected. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Ps- on a side note, for some reason I fell in love with their water glasses/goblets- thought they were beautiful, the owner did declined my request to purchase 2 of them but now it's got me on a hunt to find replicas. 🙂 kind of a fun scavenger hunt.
