This is one of our favorite places for Mexican food. It's got delicious food at reasonable prices. When you first sit down the staff will bring out complimentary all you can eat salsa & chips. Be careful you might get full before your order comes out. Their sour cream chicken enchiladas are a must try. I did not get it this time because I was craving their beef fajitas and tacos. The place is decorated Mexican style of course but what is unique are the table tops. It is a collage of various businesses that pay to advertise. The staff comes around to ask if we need anything several times so service is very good. This place is family owned since 1976 and the friendly greetings and smiling staff shows it.

It's a small little spot, and wasn't crazy packed at all, actually once we were seated, everyone else seemed to show up... The chips and salsa were delicious, the server was nice and attentive.... Once we ordered our food, it took about 15mins for it to come out, but when it did, it was hot and fresh.... I really have no complaints about this place... Food was amazing and the service was nice, I recommend the Chili Rellano and the sour cream and chicken enchiladas, they were delicious... Will definitely be back to this small little hidden gem.

I've been a patron of La Casita since the early 1980s, and it's remarkable how little has changed. The food remains exceptional, and the service is consistently excellent; they truly make you feel like family. The atmosphere is wonderful. I fondly recall my high school days when we could leave for lunch, visit the old La Casita building next door, eat, and return to class in under an hour. While times have changed and high school students can no longer leave for lunch, at 56 years old, I still feel like a child at La Casita because of its unchanging charm. Five stars to La Casita for keeping this "old man" feeling young.

Google
Really good, straight forward Tex Mex. Carne guisada tacos had good flavor. Service was very nice and attentive.

Ariana was the best server ever!! Never been here before and she gave me all the ins and outs of the menu and history of this beautiful place!! 😀 She definitely made my day and meal the best it could be! They honestly don't make the service and food like this anymore! I can't wait to come back! I am a very picky person but I left my plate clean without any food left on it!!! They are so good they don't even have to advertise and have been in business for 47 years!!

We love it here. Small family owned and very personal service. Enchiladas are a big hit!!

Google
very friendly people! we were greeted by several people. food was ok, desperate need of seasoning. the only flavoring in the guacamole was the salt and pepper we added. the chips are very thin. i can't believe they don't break in the bag. the fajitas are served in a hot skillet, come out sizzling and probably has about 2 whole onions. the fajitas are in need of seasoning too. taste like plain meat. the cheese enchilada was just gross. the tortilla was hard, microwaved too long i suppose. the beef enchilada and beef taco were great!!! seasoned good! service was great! the table is fun! once you figure out the game! prices are cheap too!

Google
I am soooo happy we found out about this place!!! My husband and I always love trying new places and this one was a perfect choice for our lunch date. This food was absolutely amazing. We order the Chile con Queso, some rice and beans and our main fish was the Chitas. Those homemade tortillas were absolutely on point and the chips with salsa was so delicious! The only "complaint" we had was a little too much grease at the bottom of the skillet, but not enough to knock off a star. The service was excellent, kept checking in on us at the right times even when it go busy for them. There was always someone walking around checking on every table no matter what. And we loved the atmosphere in there. It was cozy and had a great vibe. You walk in a seat yourself wherever you please. The smell of the fr3sh tortillas will hit you and you know it's going to be a good time. 10/10 would recommend and I cannot wait to go back!!!

Yelp
So happy I found this Tex Mex spot in Pearland. The food was fresh and it taste like I was eating at my grandmother house. I ordered the carne guisada dinner. It came with rice, refried beans and three homemade tortillas. Delicious in every way. The place was clean and comfortable. The service was prompt and polite. The owner stopped by to chat and was very pleasant to talk to. Support this local, family owned restaurant. Come here, come often. I will certainly start to make this a routine stop when I'm in the area.

Julian A.

Yelp
Always great service, food and atmosphere! We enjoy coming often and will always feel like our second home.

Yelp
I'm not a fan unfortunately I had high hopes for this place. This was my first time here. I did get the guiso plate, it came with rice and beans. The beans had a funny taste to them and you could tell the rice and beans were reheated. The meat was tender but it was drenched in gravy that was just sloppy, you had more gravy than meat. I can say the flour tortillas were homemade and soft. Even though prices were reasonable the food matched the prices. This place has been here for years it's an older place filled with the locals. No ambiance just people talking so it's very loud. The server was very friendly and efficient. The staff is very friendly unfortunately that's enough for a business.

Yelp
Go to La Casita today because you might die tomorrow. I've been coming here since I was a kid when it was in the small building next door. They have the best salsa! I always leave with extra salsa and put it on everything. Customer service is beyond amazing.

Yelp
Food was great. Ckean restaurant. Service was excellent. Restaurant lookwd like it had been updated recently. Ambiance was grear for a summer afternoon lunch with friends. Margaritas were delicious. Location was easy to find. Plenty of parking

Michael P.

Yelp
I picked the enchilada, and they were to die for. Great Service, Great food, and Great Tortillas. Best restaurant in Friendswood.

Yelp
You know what I like about La Casita, Everything, they have some of the best Mexican food around. I love their soups, Caldo de Res, being my favorite along with their Carne Guisada & a great cheese enchilada dinner, what's not to love about all this great food, will see u all on the next trip. Thanks Rick A

Yelp
The food is delicious . Support your small business.. it's family owned I believe 4 generations have worked there. They make you feel like family.

Isaura G.

Yelp
Staff were very friendly but... this food sucks! No flavor, salad was more like ketchup. I was very disappointed!

Cari L.

Yelp
Tortilla dough comes frozen in a cardboard box. That is not homemade. Carne Guisada is wonderful though

Yelp
Lots of options for Tex mex in the Houston surrounding areas and unfortunately this was a miss. The chips and salsa were stale, no options for green salsa. The chicken in the enchiladas tasted like they came from a can. They claim to have fresh tortillas but I literally saw a waiter carrying a package of tortillas from the store. The only charm of this place is that it's been around for so long and Tom Hanks visited once lol

James F.

Yelp
A terrific spot for good inexpensive Tex mex. The margaritas are good and the food is always fresh.

G M.

Yelp
Everything is fresh made here, by hand everyday (except the chicken nuggets)! Tried Tex-Mex in Texas? Try this one. Run by a "Mom n Pops" couple since 1973. Been going here every week since 1984. Always consistent and delicioso! Excellent queso n chips, fajitas, and enchiladas. Say hi to Rita at supper time. Sweet lady. Second generation owner operator. Makes you feel like part of the family. And the Ritas! Wow. Made with Codigo and tastes terrific. Thankful this is close to home in Friendswood!

Jimmy H.

Yelp
Food is good . Have tried everything from enchiladas to fajitas to Chalupas. Have enjoyed all of it.

Yelp
Nice family run business tucked away in a sleepy rural neighborhood. Tortillas are fresh made and the salsa is decent. Service is great and cheerful.

Peter Q.

Yelp
I've been eating at La Casitas for about fifteen years and I will always consider this my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. My Filipina wife who immigrated to the United States about thirteen years ago considers it her favorite among all the restaurants in the area. When she asks for Mexican food, I don't have to ask which restaurant. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and it very much has a family atmosphere. The number of the employees recognize me and my family always receives excellent service. I miss the tortillas chips they used to have, but it's not that big of a deal. I had a history professor who summed it up beautifully when he discussed Mexican food in class. "La Casitas doesn't advertise because they don't have to. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising."
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to try this place on a whim because basically I'm ALWAYS in the mood for Mexican food! ‍ We went on a Friday night. It was busy but not packed. Our server recommended the queso. Honestly, I was not impressed. It tasted like Velveeta to me. It wasn't bad, just very basic in my opinion. The red salsa wasn't that great either. It reminded me of Pace picante sauce. I'm sorry! My husband and I shared a combination platter. It came with cheese enchiladas, a tamale, a beef taco, a bean chalupa, guacamole, rice and beans. It was all mediocre to me. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. I wish I had more to say about the food. I will say the prices were pretty good. Our combination was $11.50 I believe. Our server was friendly and took good care of us. She did inadvertently charge us for 3 drinks which was odd since there were only 2 of us. So the cashier removed a drink as requested. I honestly don't think I will be back. My husband may return but there are several restaurants close by that I'd rather go to like Las Flores, Habanero's or Luna's.

Yelp
My go to spot when visiting mom. I had the La Casita Special and it was great. Staff is very friendly and attentive . I wish this place was back in Tampa.

Yelp
Had another great lunch today, our waitress was very nice & professional and went beyond to make sure we were well taken care of, keep up the great work, see you back real soon Thanks Rick A

Rosario B.

Yelp
The food is delicious but their alcohol policy is a bit sketchy. I've been to this place a few times and seen them serve micheladas but when I order them they tell me they don't serve beer. The wait is long even after you order your food. Tables that got seated after us got served before other tables, I know because the table behind where I was seated complained to the waitress and I saw it happened. I am not sure I will be back. Good food but horrible service.

Dylan B.

Yelp
Good food, service is the serve and leave model, which is nice sometimes if you don't want to be bothered or you want to hold a conversation, but it can't be annoying at times when you need refills or want anything. It's a good local spot.
google avatar

Adrienne S.

Yelp
Family owned, family run and they treat YOU like family. Love this place and it's a must go when I return home to visit!
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
I've been trying this restaurant since 1990. After several less-than-exemplary visits (generally 6-8 years in between), wife and I went again today. House margaritas are horribly sweet, waitress never pointed to upscale options. Sent back house margs when she pointed out there were original options available. Even those were sickly sweet with overdone triple sec. Ordered special triple seafood enchiladas--they were a) mostly (rubber) shrimp and b) coated in a horrible canned white cheese sauce. I cannot fathom why locals still make this restaurant viable.

Dexter F.

Yelp
Excellent carne guisada! Usually good service with an equally friendly atmosphere. I've probably visited this restaurant less than ten times but I have never had a bad meal. The tortillas are fresh and tasty. The only caution I would place is to be careful handling your plate once they serve it. When they say it's hot, believe them.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Good traditional tex mex. family friendly We have been coming here for 20+ years, the service is always good, food is always great. Good old fashioned Mexican Food!!
google avatar

Patricia C.

Yelp
I grew up with this restaurant - this is like my mama's food. I love this place, and whenever we go out of town for more than a week, this is the first restaurant I hit after I've returned. Great family run place. La Casita, please don't ever change!
google avatar

Michaele H.

Yelp
Love this place! Service and food is always exceptional! I literally crave the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. I should try something else on the menu, but when you find perfection, it's hard to make a change!

Armando T.

Yelp
Service was awesome the place had a feel at home instead of feel like in a restaurant. The food was memorable like you were eating in your own house.
google avatar

Gina C.

Yelp
Great affordable food! I've had enchiladas, tacos, salad and fajitas and they were all good.

Rachel C.

Yelp
Food was amazing !!! Tortillas were delicious !! Service was absolute crap. Our waitress Chelsea, was rude from the start when taking our drink orders, then ignored us after dropping off our food and then just walked by and dropped the bill off, didnt ask if we were good or needed anything else.. we thought about having dessert but she made that decision for us I guess ... would come back for the food but I think the service will keep us away unfortunately. The 4 stars I left are for the food .. there isnt a rating low enough fir the service.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
Love this place as a regular getaway! They have daily specials and very generous portions. You'll never feel like you wasted any money here. The waitstaff is consistently awesome; both friendly and attentive. One of my favorite hidden gems.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
I've been going here my entire life. As a child it was the only place we could ride our bikes to. Love their food, atmosphere and the great staff. This is a place we keep going back to.

Anthony H.

Yelp
My wife and I have been coming here for years, and both since we were children before that. Best food around! Can't beat the cost or the service, chicken chimichanga is the bomb!

Yelp
My better half and I drive all the away from China Town, aka Bellerie Area just to eat here on my day off. Today I remember to take pics before we ate most of our food. The chairs and tables so comfy the place kinda reminds of 80 with a Latin twist. Timeless music which is real Spanish music. Hubby order his regular order of three beef tacos with soft tortilla with ice tea unsweetened. My self I ordered 3 soft tortilla with rice and beans with unsweetened ice tea and little treat a margarita. Now to food, my hubby favorite taco place. His favorite spot since high school But hey I myself a Latin American said okay why not. Which the bar is so high when myself can cook at home for cheaper price but why not. The taco we pretty good, simple beef not to salty or over seasond. Fresh lettuce and extra tomatos. I loved how they use a thicker cheese on top. Not gonna lie, I love my cheese girl. When you make tacos don't be slacker on my cheese. The beans and rice were very fresh some say bland but no honey. You add your own salt and pepper. Real beans and rice and beans if done correctly so be on bland side. The cook doesn't know if like a pound of salt or none at all. As I say in kitchen, make fresh then you or myself can make it to your own taste buds. The margarita was just the way I like strong but not honey carry me out strong. I will be back on my next day off. Yes, just 45 minutes away but worth every time. The staff is friendly and it has not small place I'm my heart just like my better half. I hear there enchiladas are really that's next visit. Love you guys

Yelp
Stopped in mid-afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Service was great and the food was even better. Had the chicken fajitas and was more than happy with the portions as well as the freshness of the food. Definitely will be going back as the prices are unbeatable to top it all off.

Yelp
Been looking for a ( what I consider to be a Normal thing in life) phenomenal Mexican food restaurant since I moved to the area. FOUND IT You know what I'm talking about!!! Family owned Tex Mex Heaven ! Out of the other restaurants in the League City, Clear Lake, Friendswood and Webster area, this place Rocks!! I've tried 6 or 7 other Mexican restaurants and there's been a couple that I can tolerate but now that I found La Casita, there's no going back. The Old Normal but reliable chain restaurants will work as they did in my past residence. ALSO had my Favorite mom and pop restaurant in Pre relocate area as well. THIS mom and pop restaurant in my opinion is the best. I'm a Mexican food lover Who can eat good Mexican food three times a day.... seven days a week. And don't even get me started on the margaritas, I'm just here to post a review not a book. The margaritas are great. ENJOY La Casita
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Terrible service ... food was bland . Never got drinks . Over crowded . Waitress never brought out appetizers . Understaffed . I guess we got what we paid for. Cheap food and bad service

Lonnie B.

Yelp
They have very good food. My only complaint is that they need larger size servings of rice and beans with the meals.

Crissi P.

Yelp
I ordered a Chile Rellano for lunch with my party of 5. I wasn't told they were out of the peppers until everyone else was just about to be served their lunch so I ordered a simple, single bean tostada thinking it would be quick. Sat there 10 more minutes as everyone else enjoyed their lunch with still nothing. Someone at my table finally went and asked what the hold up was and they were told my simple order went to another table. Toward the end of everyone else's lunch, I was given the one corn tortilla slopped with beans, cheese, lettuce, luke warm. I was never asked if I might want guacamole or sour cream or anything else for that matter. Lost my appetite. Furthermore, no teamwork shown at all. Several times I noticed employees standing around while our waitress ran her *** off. We received very few drink refills. No extra napkins. My meal consisted of the free chips and thin salsa with non-existent jalapenos, cilantro, onions. I was forced to rate a 1. A ZERO star rating is the appropriate choice
google avatar

Brooke S.

Yelp
Local, family owned is probably the biggest perk. Cheap, very basic Mexican food. Likes the margaritas for years, but they changed and I'm not a fan of bad food and service and paying for 10-12 per mediocre margaritas. I think I can officially say we are scratching this one from the list.
google avatar

Yelp
I had dinner here with my daughter last night. I was hoping that having Mexican food in Texas would be outstanding. I was a bit disappointed. The the parking lot was jammed with cars and trucks when we got there. That's generally a good sign. And despite the fact we got there about 8 we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Again generally a very good sign. The bartender was very accommodating and we had Margaritas before dinner. The Establishment is rather large seating I would guess about 200 people and every seat was taken. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. The waitress was recently prompt giving the hustle and bustle of the dining room and she soon brought us chips and salsa. The chips were thin and really didn't have much flavor. The salsa was okay but certainly nothing worth bragging about. My next disappointment was the menu. They didn't offer tamales except as part of a dinner. None of the dishes had a Verde sauce, so I settled on chicken enchiladas with sour cream along with the standard refried beans and Spanish rice. Again they were all okay but really nothing notable. I'm going to try another Mexican restaurant in town later this week with the hopes of having a better meal.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, staff, food & prices. Brought me back to good old tex mex family restaurant that I havent felt in a very long time. A time capsule of music and family. I will be coming back

Yelp
La Casita is one of our favorite places to eat. We eat here very often and have been since my husband and I were both young. He was actually a bus boy there back in the day! it's family owned and operated, incredibly clean and food is great. Everyone is always very friendly. It's like home to us. Cannot recommend enough!
google avatar

Darrell F.

Yelp
I LOVE this place, I like Mexican food, but its my least favorite all the choices to eat, however this place is a GREAT Mom & Pop, restaurant out of the way and has been going strong and expanding for decades. Great family place to go and very affordable. Does get busy....get there early.
google avatar

Bill P.

Yelp
Terrific Tacos. Excellent Hot Sauce. Very attentive staff and casual setting (seat yourself). It's perfect for a family bite to eat after a baseball or soccer game. Ice cold mugs served with each round of beer. Tacos - plus. Tamales - even. Enchiladas - a minus. Family owned. Support local business and eat at La Casita!
google avatar

James Y.

Yelp
No frills good Mexican food. Just simple. And cheap! I'll keep writing because this app won't let me describe it in only a few words. But I'll say again, good and cheap. No frills.
google avatar

Hayden P.

Yelp
Full Disclosure: We had a table of 12 and the entire dining area was packed. I have been here before with smaller groups, and the experience has been much the same. The service is fantastic, very attentive and quick to serve. But, it's Mexican food which typically doesn't take too long to get to your table anyway. The prices are low, but you get what you pay for. Wouldn't put this place in the top 5 Mexican places in Old Pearland, Friendswood, Alvin...maybe not top 10. The salsa is quality...very spicy. They have a bar, but it's not fully stocked. I would go back with a group if someone else invited me, but I would not choose to go here myself.
google avatar

Nicholas E.

Yelp
La casita is every authentic Pearlanders staple Tex Mex joint. Well off the beaten path with minimal parking its well worth the trip. Ever since I was a kid the menu or logistics haven't changed a bit, my favorite- the quesadillas are served on whole tortillas, each customer gets their own portion of salsa, the chips are homemade thin & salty. Simple but incredible food for that original taste of Pearland, La Casita is a must!
google avatar

Yelp
What a treat to have found this awesome family run restaurant. The service does not get any better than this and the food is just almost to good to describe. So just a quick rundown of what we have had so far. The cheese enchiladas where really great. The chicken fajita salad with queso was superb. My favorite which I have eaten about 5 times already is the beef and chicken fajitas (Chitas). The beauty of the fajita meat is the marinade they use. It has a awesome flavor of mexican oregano which I love. The queso is really good. The beans are delish as well as the rice. The salsa is really nice as well, just enough heat to make you take the occasional drink of their delicious sweet tea. If you have not gone go as fast as you can, you won't regret it. One other thing you will notice is the prices are lower than most places.
