Food of C.

I realized it's been a while since I last updated my review on La Casita! We've visited them consistently since they opened and it's our all time favorite Mexican restaurant in Connecticut. The food quality and level of service here is hard to beat. I haven't found better tamales! We love that they just added a salsa bar too. Friendly staff and welcoming space. So lucky to have them in our hometown!

One of the worst takeout experiences of my life. I ordered a grilled steak burrito, however they were all out of steak. So I settled for a grilled chicken burrito. I told the lady on the phone I would like the rice and beans inside my burrito along with corn guac and sour cream, not just on the plate. I couldn’t really comprehend the fact that their burritos are generally just tortilla and chicken, sitting on top of the rice and beans? But whatever I adjusted as necessary. I pick up my $22 burrito on my way home. I get home and bust open my food to see an unwrapped toritila with only chicken and corn inside, sitting in a puddle of sour cream. Quality was terrible and apparently the chefs aren’t the brightest as the receipt stated that “toppings inside burrito.” 0/10 experience, would never go back. However, if they re named the place to “Chips and Salsa,” I’d give them a 10/10, spot on there. Here’s a picture so you can see the tortilla imprint on the sour cream.

The food is usually great but I’m not too sure if they understand the concept of communication lately. I called friday and it was clearly very busy and they could have said they are doing no pickup but I was on hold for 6 minutes extremely hungry after work, I called back after the 6 minute wait and was told to hold and as soon as it hit 2 minutes I knew I was not going to be tended to. This was after ordering 2 days in a row prior as I was really enjoying everything. Okay, that instance can be forgiven…Tonight, I ordered my usual order (nachos supreme shredded chicken, add peppers, remove onions) that I’ve ordered for a while as there is familiarity even with some of the staff, but was met with an overexplanation of 2 minutes about how the nachos supreme already comes with onions and how it’s the grilled nachos that come with pepper as if I have not ordered this same order multiple times. Then when I clarify that I’m just making the order I usually make, I was told “well no just because there’s you usual people…*SIGH*” like wait WHAT? And then I pick up my nachos and they were legit a pile of cheese and tomatoes with peppers and chicken buried way underneath—something that is not a coincidence with how I was treated. The same La Casita that I’ve ordered at since 2021 that I naturally always feel the want to tip even just for pickup?? I know there is just no way. The same La Casita that I referred to as Naugatuck’s true Mexican restaurant to multiple people throughout the years???? Dude nah. That’s just messed up. Treating your usual patrons like just anyone else is genuinely upsetting and now, I can’t say I would recommend for anyone to visit here outside of single sporadic visits. The sheer rudeness on top of purposefully screwing with my food has permanently ended my time with you guys and it’s a shame.

First time at this local restaurant. The atmosphere was casual, great for a Tuesday night.. Our waiter was absolutely adorable and very accommodating. For starters the Moonlight Margarita hit the spot! The fajitas were delicous and bountiful. My husband enjoyed my leftovers as there was more than enough for both of us. We will definitely go back again 😊

I love the food and customer service is excellent. My favorite dessert comes first for me. The deep fried ice cream with corn flakes and swirly chocolate. My favorite dinner is Mar y Tiera Land and sea, steal chicken and shrimp with rice and beans, guacamole. So yummy. I’m on my way to get some .❤️

It was absolutely horrible, food was horrible and looked like it was put together out of a can. No seasoning at all drinks were watered down everything tasted like tomato sauce. I would never recommend this place to anyone. And it’s overpriced for the quality of their food.

Great Mexican food, stopped by during the 2021 holiday tree lighting. Food and service was very good. Loved the chips and salsa, enchiladas with ground beef. Suiza so tomatillo sauce. Plus a fajita / burrito that was delicious… 22 onces beer 🍺 WOW. Jarrito Mexican soda very good too.

The food was great. The staff was very nice and always on top of things. Naugatuck is hit or miss with food and La Casita hits it out of the park. Definitely the best Mexican food around.
