La Catalana Bakery - Review - Hialeah - Miami - The Infatuation

"Most ventanitas in Hialeah are charging $2 or more for a colada. Not here (or the ventanita next door). You can get your fix of sugary brown gasoline for a very rare $1.50. Their loaves of cuban bread are the height of a four-year-old and also only cost $1.75. They accept credit cards, but there’s a ten-dollar minimum. Plus, that just feels counterintuitive for a place whose most exciting trait is allowing you to finally do damage with some laundromat money. La Catalana can get crowded with to-go orders of pan con bistec and other sandwiches. If that’s the case, go to La Gloria next door and get their equally cheap colada." - Mariana Trabanino

Google
This place is disgusting and full of roaches, had two put one star but if I could rate it I would rate 0 stars. The services were terrible the girls are rude and only care about the customers they want to care about. From now on I’ll be going to vickey bakery or IHOP way better hope you do the same….

If I can give them 0 stars i will! They have disfusting attitudes and literally stared at me and didn't want to serve me. I felt very unwanted. A man had to step in and tell them to serve me.

If cheap gives a food business more stars, then enjoy cheap. Service, unfortunately, is non existent. A little improvement in customer service attention & they can see additional sales.

Where can you get in 2019, a good PAN con TORTILLA for $3 and a soda to boot? Or $3 lunch specials. pleasant people, not the best of neighborhoods.

This place has awesome sandwiches. The steak and the Cuban are the best. Their choripan is really addictive. The staff is friendly. N

Best pastelitos de guayaba in town. Service is great and their bread is the best I've ever had. I highly recommended to everyone! We just love it!

Yelp
Ok this little gem is only that to the local laborers of the city of hialeah's commercial east side district. If you can overlook the deviate characters playing slots at 6am in the bakery and the salty characters hanging outside you'll find a colorful cast of of the daughters of the soviet occupation which efficiently serve the hungry masses with fresh cuban baked goods, breads and wonderful empanadas. Also the $2.00 breakfast consist of 2 eggs scrambled with ham or without, a load of French fries, Cuban bread toasted and buttered and cafe con leche. Bueno bonito and barato, as the saying goes.
