La Causerie

We came for a birthday celebration, and the food and service were excellent! We truly enjoyed the experience. The only downside was that the menu wasn't in English and the website wasn't working at the time. However, our server was very kind and helped us translate everything.

I had their €29 set lunch and it was not only a delicious not fulfilling lunch. The staff at the shop is very friendly and serve with passion. I dun speak French but they do their best to help me to order. If you are in Passey Paris do come to this amazing restaurant, you will not disappointed

we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at La Causerie. we had a pescatarian with us and she enjoyed the vegetarian and fish dishes they offered. the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. the sauces were incredible. service was efficient and helpful with us— we don’t speak a lick of french! dessert was a highlight, especially the baba with chartreuse. merci beaucoup!

Before booking the table you need to understand that the owner doesn't like tourists. The food is good, in some moments just regular. But the owner (the man) is very, very rude. In addition to the general mockery that we are stupid people who don't understand French, he pushed me several times with the door and aggressively threw my wife's phone off the drink card to take it, which was trying to translate the handwritten French menu. There were many other moments where we were forced to use dirty cutlery to eat our main dishes after the starters. When the French guests had a change of cutlery on their tables. My recommendation to the owner: if you don't want tourists in your restaurant, just write "tourists are not welcome." We have a huge list of restaurants to visit in Paris - please don’t think your restaurant are special. Its not.

What a fantastic experience for our first night in Paris. Everything was perfect. The food tasted great and the ambiance was perfect. BUt the best part was our server. She was so helpful and even tolerated my poor french. We cannot wait to visit again

Small bistro in a residential part of Paris. The menu, written on a chalk board, changes regularly based on the seasons. The gnocchi are one of the best I have ever had. Succulent, they melt in your mouth. We had the tuna and leak starters which were both beautifully prepared and excellent. We also had the riz de veau, cod and gnocchi. All plates were excellent.

Typically traditional styled French bistro. Cozy, friendly and delicious food. The menu is displayed on black boards and nothing is predictable or boring. Every dish has its own uniqueness and flavours. 3 courses with wine and sparkling water cost about €100 a head. Definitely worth it.

Perfect brasserie in the 16th district. Excellent cuisine, Ingredients are seasonal and carefully selected by the Chef. The Ris de Veau: exceptional. The wine menu has some interesting finds like Chateau Simone. My favourite brasserie in the 16th for sure!

For my wife and me, La Causerie was our last dinner during our first visit to Paris and it was the best way to end our trip. It was casual, yet upscale and refined. The food was familiar, but innovative at the same time. I was beyond impressed with every dish and every single bite. The menu changes regularly as was evident by the chalkboard menu that was brought around the room. We started out with a seafood tartare and tuna pâté. The tartare was very light, refreshing, and reminiscent of a ceviche while the pâté was a different take on traditional liver-based pâtés. Main plates were the fish of the day (couldn't tell you what kind of fish, but t'was tasty) and the veal. Both were cooked to perfection -- fish was light and flaky with a crispy skin while the veal was moist and tender with a great sear. The meal was finished off with what seemed like a next-level cream puff and a chocolate tarte (certainly an over-simplification of what these desserts actually were, but hey, I don't speak French and have no clue what the menu said). One thing I know for sure is that these desserts epitomize the artistry of French pastries. Overall, the service was impeccable and the food has me drooling all over again as I write this. The experience was some of the best Paris has to offer top-to-bottom and is listed on the Michelin guide for a reason. Whenever I come back to Paris, I'll definitely be adding this to the itinerary [again].

This was our first dinner in Paris and it was our first trip to Paris as well. It was a recommendation from our air bnb host and we arrived to Paris in the evening so we decided to check it out. For this being a first Paris restaurant experience, it was a little difficult just getting here and the whole menu being in French and not knowing what to order or if we are ordering right. But, I am SO glad we came here and it truly was an authentic French dinner experience! The waiter was extremely nice when he realized we didn't speak French very well and needed help with the menu. He talked about the dishes they had and the food we ordered was amazing. The poor quality photos show just how good it was and in the moment we were while there. The dessert was one of the best desserts I've had, it just melted in your mouth. I highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner and will definitely be back on our next trip to Paris!

Amazing fresh food and low key environment. After going to a stuffier Michelin restaurant, we wanted to find somewhere with more comforting French food that felt like a "locals" spot, and this place delivered. Fantastic and fresh daily fish and meat, amazing desserts (try the Paris brest) and great wine selection. If you appreciate somewhere more casual with delicious food in a low key environment, this is your spot.
