Sadly tortilla chips are not fresh(old with a funky flavor) ,chips and salsa are a very small portion and not refillable , the guacamole has no flavor at all , the margarita is not their best 😧 they had a great bartender before that prepared delicious margaritas unfortunately not today , seems like they changed their bartender, staff drinking while working , not very attentive to clients. Disappointed knowing that this is the same owner of the best birria place (with great service) in the South Bay Area

Good live music and outdoor atmosphere... could be a great place. 💃However…. The food is poor quality (fake cheese etc) and not tasty. Though lots of chicken on the nachos but not enough chips. AND there was hair tangled in the food so my friend I was sharing with spit the food back immediately on the plate, with the visible hair🤮 just wanting it out of her mouth. So ruined the food. Told the waitress, she said, oh sorry and took the plate…NOTHING MORE. THEN asked for my receipt at the end and there was no paper so no receipt, got home and seems I was overcharged somewhere as well. 😔 🤷🏼‍♀️

It was date night for my wife and I on a recent Saturday and we were hungry. We wanted to try a restaurant with not only good food but a great ambiance and we found that place at La Central located in the Chula Vista Center mall. We had heard about this place but never actually tried it. We were promptly seated at a table with a nice fire place. We ordered appetizers, tacos and a couple of drinks. The food was delicious and the music that was playing was great so much that my wife was singing and eating. Food was very good, service was excellent, price was what you would expect anywhere else and ambiance was fun. We will definitely be back on one of our future date nights.

Nice ambiance and very tasty drinks. The adobada tacos are good and come with have chunks of pineapple. The adobada torta is okay. The chicharon and pulpo taco was a huge disappointment. As you can see the chicharon looks like it came from a chip bag. The drinks are real delicious but, the one that we got (pictured) came with a huge chunk of ice that no one bothered to break down. Waiters are very nice but, we had multiple of them. Not sure who was suppose to be helping us at times. I suggest calling to make a reservation on busy evenings.

Amazing tacos, good service. They need a new location, they have a chill beach vibe that I think they could pull off if they moved to one. I can tell a lot of heart goes into the food and the events this place does. The manager Aaron told us they do different food events like cabeza, paella, birria, etc on different days. They also do mariachi and karaoke on certain nights. So yeah I highly recommend this place even though it is just in the middle of a dead mall surrounded by stores. Try the pastor or the gringa tacos they were awesome.

A definite 4.25 score for ambiance. Nested behind bjs, this bar and restaurant were just popping with excitement. Instead of bjs, we literally heard the music the karaoke 🎤 the people the light's... it was a refreshing site; total fun, completely unique and utterly memorable. The food was great, the drinks were well made and tasty. The people were a mix of everything and the karaoke was thumping and bumping. 🔥 We arrived late night and yet, ended up just staying because of the great environment. Tale a shot and enjoy the night. Parking is ample and easy to get find. Only thing missing were more heaters and more comfortable seats and service was fine of not a bit slow.

This was a great place to chill, have a beer on draft and the Best burritos we’ve ever had in a while!!!! Locally. Good service. Also a great spot for spring and summer time to come watch a fight. We’ll definitely come back.

A woman that works here, I believe the manager has horrible customer service. He was rude and aggressive toward patrons. The ambiance is awful because of the staff.

This place is infested with roaches and big rats and to top it off bad customer service 0/10 never coming here again also the food took long to come out

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was unacceptable. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed annoyed by our presence. No greeting, no eye contact. The lady we dealt with rolled her eyes when we asked about an allergy concern and practically slammed our drinks on the table. The food was ok, but I had to add a lot of salt. There are too many great restaurants in this city to waste time or money at one where the staff can't be bothered to show even basic respect. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who expects even the bare minimum of customer service.

On 06/22/24, I witnessed an extremely disturbing and unprofessional incident. A woman wearing a black top opened the bathroom door while it was clearly occupied. Shortly after, a young woman exited the bathroom while recording the incident, and the woman in the black top aggressively slapped the phone out of her hand. The entire situation was shocking and made me feel very uncomfortable. As I was leaving, still shaken by what I saw, someone mentioned that the woman in the black top was actually the owner. If that's true, it's incredibly disappointing to know that someone with such poor judgment and lack of moral values is running the establishment. That completely killed the vibe of the night. I will definitely not be coming back.

They had live music which was great, service was amazing! Our server Kevin took great care of our group of 7 Thank you Kevin! Had the Margo Martini and it was delicious. Tacos also good. This is a great place to enjoy some company while listening to the live band.

The owner was HORRIBLE!! Calling costumers names and opening doors to restrooms while in use. Total invasion of privacy. Don't ever come here. Service is super slow on top of that

Gabriela and her husband are poor examples on how a restaurant should be managed. when management isn't great so is the business. waitresses and employees are all rude because they obviously aren't being trained correctly to respect their customers. they're being trained to be disrespectful to customers by giving them attitudes, ignoring them for long periods after being seated and opening restroom doors while in use. no one should go into a restaurant being treated that way for some food that sucks ass. the environment is hostile and the service is terrible. do not visit this restaurant. there are plenty of other great restaurants in the area!

Extremely unsafe place. Staff unlocks restrooms while customers are using. Food is bland and horrible.

This is the owner I'm assuming. Imagine opening and closing the bathroom door while one of your guest is in there. Puts hands on said customers. Overall AWFUL/BAD. Customer service. I'm sure she doesn't even wash her hands after scratching her ass.

Workers are rude that moment you walk in, just look at you as if they hate that you chose to eat there. Manager(Gabriela) is weird! Saw her harassing some poor customers! While her husband so another manager or owner just stood right there and watched! Didn't even try to calm down her wife! Security being shady, not even making sense. And just standing there being rude as you walk in. And wasn't even helpful when the manager/owner was harassing a customer. Food wasn't that good. I would say taste similar to Taco Bell, just a tad better maybe? Never returning again and wouldn't recommend to anybody

My wife and I Had the worst time here, from the beginning the staff was very unwelcoming. The owner also was very condescending. We came here after the incident about them barging into a bathroom while in use, just to see if maybe people were wrong. They weren't, don't waste your time and money here. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby

This video speaks for itself, the way these two customers were treated is beyond disrespectful and need to get help accountable regardless if only one person are allowed in the restroom that is no way to remind someone. Shame on Gabriella and the guy she was with

On 06/22/25 seen a woman with a black top opening up the bathroom door while the bathroom was occupied. After the woman with the black top open the bathroom door a young woman step out recording the incident, and the woman with the black top slap the phone out of the young woman's hand. Very shocking and unprofessional behavior from the woman with a black top. Made me nervous and killed the vibe that night. Will not be going back...

Watched one video and it told me enough that this restaurant don't care about their service. Manager looked drunk in the video? Maybe shouldn't drink while working smh ! The fact that the security couldn't control the situation as well is distasteful smh never going there !

After watching the video of the recent incident that occurred here, it is outrageous and 100% wrong for her to do that to her customers or anyone period. When I was here with my friends couple months ago, I had their Al pastor burrito which was very mid and for the size of the burrito it wasn't worth $11. Service was hella slow and there was a table that ordered after us and they got their food first before we did. On top of that it was hard to hear what my friends were saying since they literally sat us right next to the speakers. The vibe was trash, service was slow, and lastly after watching the video that is trending because the way how the owner treated her customers who was in the bathroom, I'm definitely not coming here ever again. GET THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN!! No deserves to be treated like that ever.

Horrible customer service manager kicked out two peaceful guests that used the bathroom opening the door on the girls using the restroom! Multiple times!! There a whole video showing the altercation, not how a manager should act TRASHY. Run somewhere else with better food and nicer staff!!

Upon walking in I was greeted by a kind employee and was sat with no issues. After that it went completely downhill im very disappointed. Service is plain terrible, do better.

0/10 would not recommend. Extremely Unpleasant staff. Bathrooms are NOT secure for women's safety. The male employees are aggressive. This is not a safe environment, especially with alcohol involved. There are hundreds of better options here in beautiful San Diego that are SAFE.

What kind of manager thinks it's okay to violate a customer's privacy? This is beyond unacceptable. Horrible I saw the lady screaming a girl for helping her friend use the restroom and because the girl was recording the owner gabriela decided to smack the phone out of her customers face yelling at her to leave do not come here better spots around the area

Invading peoples privacy and harassing people by intentionally opening restroom doors that are clearly in use. Owner and partner are inappropriate, unprofessional and potentially defamatory. This type of behavior reflects a lack of respect and contributes to an unsafe environment. Would not recommend!

Do NOT go here. The owner and his wife Gabriella are horrible people. Gabriella opened the restroom door while a customer was using the restroom. Pushed a customers phone out of their hand while they recorded her behavior. Gabriella said it's okay record it it'll give us more * shimmy shimmy * well here is the shimmy shimmy she is getting. Bad reviews. Do better Gabriella.

It's a tragedy that this place doesn't know how to treat customers. Food isn't worth being treated in an unprofessional manner. Lots of potential under new management, but under current management, I would not feel safe eating here.

Food here is pretty bland, I wouldn't come back here by any means necessary. I wouldn't take the time to write a review if it wasn't for the horrible service we received while dining here's. What seemed to be a fun friendly atmosphere, turned into negative and unpleasant evening with the unprofessional attitude received from the staff/owners here. Food is horrible, customer service is worse than the food. I'm scared to go back what if the manager opens the restroom door when I'm in the middle of business. The ambiance not good they look at you all weird why is the manager still working there. Dudes person I have ever met don't let her work in a restaurant ever!!!!! I saw the ONWER slap a customers phone for using the restroom and demanded that customer to leave. Horrible service and food isn't good at all. I found multiple egg shells in my meal. Wouldn't come here even if it's the last place on earth open.
