"Brunch at Cha Cha Cha in the Arts District will make you feel like an extra in a sun-soaked travel ad by LA's tourism board. Their menu highlights Mexican dishes like chorizo eggs in purgatory and a sope benedict, but the real draw is the rooftop dining space filled with palm groves. On your way to your outdoor table, you’ll catch glimpses of the Downtown skyline and remember how badly you need a tropical vacation. Bring a group for a fun birthday or sit at the bar with a good book and some smoky, crunchy chilaquiles." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park
"Stepping onto the rooftop patio of this Arts District Mexican spot is not unlike ascending into an ethereal garden. You’ll find secret-looking booths in lush alcoves, a massive standalone bar decked out in shiny green marble, and unparalleled views of Downtown. That said, Cha Cha Cha is more than pretty aesthetics—the food and cocktails are great, too. We love the earthy hongos tacos, and the steak pa’taquear that essentially functions as a build-your-own taco station filled with NY strip steak, charred tomatoes, nopales, and blue jean-colored corn tortillas." - brant cox, arden shore

"Located on a second-story rooftop in the Arts District, Cha Cha Chá is a Mexico City transplant that we love for various reasons: they have shareable food like charcoal-grilled red snapper and shrimp aguachiles, a lush patio, and sprawling views of Downtown. We should also add “getting boozy” to the growing list of reasons to come here because we’ve liked nearly every cocktail we’ve tried. The smoky and spicy El Tigre Penicillin is a favorite, but their margarita deserves extra attention. It’s a pretty straightforward version (tequila blanco, lime, salt), but the secret weapon is the touch of Combier L’Orange, which gives the cocktail a bittersweet flavor that’ll stay on your tongue through dinner." - sylvio martins, brant cox, garrett snyder
"Cha Cha Cha in the Arts District is one of the best rooftops in the city: lime-drenched tostadas, a lush patio, and sprawling views of Downtown. We’d recommend this Mexican restaurant for just about any occasion that presents itself, including “getting boozy.” While we’ve liked almost every cocktail we’ve tried at Cha Cha Cha (the strawberry mezcalita is a standout), their margarita deserves extra attention.
