La Chancla Night Market

Great place to go and eat ,I came across it on Google maps. This night food market Opens at 5pm, I was there before they opened and it did not disappoint. The crunchy chicken tacos that made me go there in the first place, were as delicious as my Mom's, it made my night. I also had an Esquite (corn) also a favorite. I will be going back definitely a great place to spend the night. Bathroom available / Baño disponible FOOD -Pizza -Sea Food -Popusas -Aguas frescas -Hot dogs -Funnel cake- Fresas con crema -Churros

It's a swapmeet style food place, with lots of variety. Unfortunately the food is extremely expensive and not worth the price. The chilaquiles were decent but don't let the picture fool you, the piece of meat is really small. The classic burger was okay, the fries overcooked and it doesn't come with a drink, mind you for 20 dollars it should. Chicken Chipotle Pasta was terrible, more vegetables then pasta or chicken. For dessert we had the mini pancakes and coffee shake, that was good. Drinks are gonna run you $4 to $7 dollars each, not including the fancy drinks those can go as high as $20. Just in case if you want to know there is no booze here.

It's unbelievable that this spot was better than neptunes net in Malibu 😅 food was amazing, and the atmosphere made us feel like regulars. We definitely recommend this place. You have a variety of choices.

Influencers made it sound like a very special night market. It was kind of disappointing. The market was very small, only ~10/15 vendors. Very limited parking. We had to park in the neighborhood, which was not the safest spot. The food was also not good. Paid extra for truffle fries, but got cajun fries instead. The truck that sells steak fried rice had no steak that day. We got chicken fried rice, which had no taste. The girl who helped us out wasn't really paying attention when we were ordering.

The Nutella and dubai filling was literally watered down it was disgusting. Never again this is the second chance I give this place. Ima stick to viva la crepas they don't water down their products

I've been here twice thanks to a recommendation from one of the foodie YouTubers that I watch and I must say this is a very underrated night market! Don't let it's size fool you! Even though it's pretty small there's a variety of food and vendors to choose from. Some of the most notable dishes are beef kabobs, birria ramen, Mexican sushi, and oven-baked pizza plus more! I leave you with some photos of the dishes I've had so far. The tacos are the highlight of the night market since they're made with fresh handmade tortillas!

It was surprisingly big with many many Hispanic and American options. From pizza to tinga and everything in between. We had un huarache and la masa had black beans toasted to a subtle and delicious crunch and packed with flavor. I just drooled again 🤤😋🤤😅 were going back tonight.

I'm currently sitting at One of the many tables they have laid out eating birria vampiros and professing my love to the consumeré. There's a wonderful combination of different types of food here, including tacos, teriyaki bowls, birria, mini pancakes, antojitos and so on. It's small enough to make a decision but not so small as to disappoint.

My City Girl Instincts started tingling from the second I pulled up on this spot. First, this spot is in a super sketchy neighborhood. Prepare accordingly. There were way more vendors than attendees at the event. The vendors were selling food and drinks from different parts of Central and South America, plus one random vendor selling CBD products. However, most of those vendors looked like they probably wouldn't pass a health inspection so I passed on them. I literally walked a lap to see what businesses were there and walked right out. Not sure what all the hype is about, but definitely recommend not wasting your time on this one.

This nightmarket does a great job of activating this area of South Central. I like to come when it's still light out but it's worth the drive. I go to a lot of Asian Night Markets in LA and this was different for me. I saw everything from Mexican stands, El Salvadorian, Mediterranean, desserts, a matcha shop that had unique hello kitty and labubu merch. Most of all, I liked the creative food items (Mexican Burger, had pineapple!!/ Al Pastor Pizza (i'd come back for this), Chilequiles.. no two booths had the same items so the variety was vast. Oh, we picked up the Mozzerella Hot Cheeto sticks too. This booth also has Michelada wings! Oh, the Birria Ramen was really good too. There's a CBD ointment booth which I thought was cool bc they don't stick to just food, it's all kinds of entrepreneurs. I like this place, despite what everyone says about the location, I feel safe and been twice now, once even at night and felt fine. Parking was difficult but I went into the residential area and walked over just fine. I plan to take visitors when they visit me, especially on summer nights.

The fist time I Went here every Verdor was so bubbly, answered any questions that I had , the foods that I did try was good, certain vendors had free samples, free parking the only thing is there parking is small, we would have park on the streets far, and the out door portable toilets, OUT DOOR SEATING & TABKES , kid friendly, music, pet friendly, able to pay ZELLE, VEMO, CASH APP , CREDIT 'S , CASH I GO THERE ALMOST EVERY OTHER WEEK. 2 TIMES A WEEK. VERY GOOD FOOD

I don't know why people come here! It's disgustingly dirty!!! This place needs to be shut down. They leave there food/appliances ect out all night without cleaning or covering anything. I've seen rats around the place.
