We had a great and relaxing dinner here for the last night of our trip in Spain. It's located in local community area , but to our surprises, the owner/chef speaks good English and was really friendly and nice. The guacamole is definitely the most delicious one we've ever tasted. And margarita is also great ,like the chef said and was proud of. After many years of traveling experiences, we like to stay outside of the main tourist area(historical town), and such nice and cozy restaurant is what we're looking for.

I usually don't post reviews, but it hurt my heart to hear, that today 18.02.2022 I was the first foreign customer since the start of COVID-19 two years ago. The owner was so surprised, that a foreigner visited his restaurant. If you are travelling to Sevilla, I highly recommend you this restaurant. Please give the local restaurants outside of the main tourist area a chance too. The food was extremely delicious and the owner and cook were really friendly. See for yourself. You won't regret it. I promise.

The portion was small compared to Mexican back in Texas but the taste was great. Pretty decent margarita for 4euro, good enough to get two.

Food was delicious ! Was a bit worried due to the actual restaurant. Could use some decorations. Food was superb. Salsas, to die for!’ We ordered la cazuelita de chipotle for an appetizer and my pallet was dancing for joy. I ordered tacos de cochinito pibil and my honey ordered tacos de carnitas. Would Definitely come again!

The food is excellent and delicious at this restaurant. The cook is Mexican and he is a great cook. I was visiting from the USA and on my last I wanted a place near my hotel. The service is good, and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is not that big, but it is nice and very clean. If you are driving, be aware that restaurant is located in a private neighbor ... So, parking is not available on the street where the restaurant is located

Amazing food. Even though it was difficult for us to translate the Spanish menu, but everything we ordered was mind blowing. The servings very generous and everything finger-licking good. We reached half an hour before closing time and the owner not only gave us tips about eating out in the city but also had a drink with us. Kisses for the chef.

Most food in Spain is all kind of the same, tapas. As an American I was delighted to find a Mexican restaurant out of sight in Spain. The food was SPECTACULAR. Great fish tacos and great service. The owner is a nice guy who even knows about the Green Bay Packers 🙂.

If you want to try truly Mexican food, you should come here. Not only the food is delicious and the flavors are exotic: service is wonderful, respectful and close. I recommend the menu: you'll be able to try seven different dishes at a decent price. Also, the dulce de leche ice cream is amazing.

Yelp
Being from Los Angeles where we have many choices when it comes to Mexican food, I was happy to see a restaurant here in Seville that served up some very tasty food. Daniel the owner and chef helped guide my decision. Started off with some of the best guacamole I've ever had with chips, chipotle salsa, and a small cup of black beans with a little carnitas on top. Then came a plate with a cheese casa dia, a grilled carnitas taco, and a small crispy chicken tostada. And my Corona beer was ice cold in a bottle with a slice of lemon, perfect meal. I enjoyed nice conversation with Daniel because I was the first person there when he opened the doors. Very nice man, thank you Daniel, it was a pleasure.

Yelp
La Chaparrita is real and authentic Mexican food. The food here is absolutely DELICIOUS and the owner is just wonderful. My friends and I are students studying in Sevilla from the USA and we were so welcomed and were constantly laughing while eating out meals. We had a great dinner and are looking forward to going back very soon.

Yelp
After window shopping in Spain we stumbled upon a sign that said, La Chaparrita Mexican Restaurant. I've been traveling through Europe for 3 weeks. I'm from California specifically the Central Coast where Mexican Restaurants are abundant and to encounter one in Spain is extremely rare. My friend and I decided to walk over and take a look. Upon entering the cozy establishment we were met by an older gentleman. The restaurant itself is painted in vibrant colors, the Mexican flag adorns one of the walls, wooden tables and chairs take care of the space. You could hear Juan Gabriel signing throughout the establishment. My friend and I sat down at the table, got to know the owner, and chef Daniel. I told Daniel, that I've missed having spicy salsa in my meal these last few weeks. He said he would do his special salsa with "chile de árbol" I tell you, when the chips and the salsa were placed at the table I went all in. After the first bite, it felt like I was enjoying my parents home spicy salsa. I added plenty of salsa in the tacos of cochinita pibil, carnitas and chicharrones. The whole meal was delicious. After our meal Daniel was kind enough to send me off with a container of salsa and corn tortillas. So if you're in need of a true Mexican meal, go and pay Daniel a visit.

Yelp
Desagradable, el chef me sirvió cilantro completamente podrido en los tacos, una falta de respeto

Yelp
We really liked this place. We are Americans and we were struggling with the local choices and missed our Mexican food. This place was perfect. We saw that it opened at 8:30pm and saw the other reviews that said it is a busy place and on the smaller side, so we got there right on the dot (first ones there). The waiter (may be the owner) greeted us right away and found us a table. The place filled up quickly around us with reservations and by 9pm it was packed so I suggest either making reservations or showing up right when it opens. The waiter/owner was originally from Mexico and was very friendly and asked where we were from and talked to us about our home city. One thing to note, this restaurant is off the beaten path in a small neighborhood, not by much else, but we wanted our Mexican food, so we traveled out of the way. The owner/waiter suggested a shared meal which we took him up on and it was delicious. It consisted of a pork queso bean dip, guacamole, freshly made chips and salsa, which was the starter. It was followed by a chicken quesadilla, pork taco and another chilaquiles dish. The owner/waiter was a fabulous host, while the place is simple, it was clean and the food was great! We actually had gone to another Mexican restaurant the evening before in a busier, trendier neighborhood and we liked this food much better. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Great service, great food, and cute and clean place! This restaurant is near where I live in Seville, so it's easily becoming a go-to place. The gentleman serving the food, he might be the owner, is very attentive. It's authentic and fresh Mexican food. Good prices, too! I definitely recommend it.

Yelp
If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go!! We LOVED our meal here. We had the 7 item tasting menu and the carnitas. The slow-cooked meats were so scrumptious! The spicy salsa and guacamole were some of the best I have ever had! The prices were good and the service was great. The owner is from Mexico City and his wife is from Seville. They have been in business 11 years. If I'm ever in Seville again--I will be there! YUM!

Yelp
After traveling through Europe 3-weeks, I was missing the taste of home, Mexican food. I was so happy to find La Chaparrita and even happier when I took the first bite, it was authentic Mexican food. The salsa was spicy, the margarita was delicious and the cochinita pibil taco was delicious. For all those travelers who want real Mexican food I recommend a stop at La Chaparrita.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner - menu ok - opted for enchiladas and quesadillas- quite small portions for the price. Mains more like a starter. Quality was great, taste superb but just not enough!

Yelp
So I'll preface this with a statement; if you're from California, Mexico, or another US state that borders Mexico, do not expect this to be the same! That said, it's good. They drown everything in sour cream for some reason, though.

Yelp
I lived in Mexico for two years, and took my Mexicana girlfriend to dinner here...WOW! It was worth the walk. It is a little off the beaten path, and you should make a reservation. The chicken mole and the carnitas tacos....OMG. Plus the margaritas! Even though they only had one tamale left, :) it was totally amazing. We brought the extra mole sauce home with us! I just can't say enough about the food, and the staff was even better than the food! Thanks so much muchachos!!!
