"The setting, located in a premier grand cru Sauternes wine estate and run by the Cercle Guiraud team, is certainly breathtaking: a spacious dining area beneath a lofty vaulted ceiling, an open kitchen and an inviting lounge with a fireplace… The menu rolls out flavoursome, mouthwatering dishes illustrated by poached egg and a sauternes sauce, pâté en croûte in a tribute to Mère Brazier, roast pork shoulder in smoked pepper or desserts like Belle Hélène pears. A well-crafted, patriotic Gallic lineup at sensible prices and a deliciously peaceful terrace." - Michelin Inspector

Very intriguing. We were very pleased with everything this establishment has to offer. The service was impeccable and the food was true to French Cuisine. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because we are trying to eat less meat and the options are limited. The views are stupendous and the restaurant was warm and inviting. Menus in French and English. Anything you questioned the friendly server was more than anxious to provide an answer with a smile. We were there for a late lunch and the prices were moderate to high. They do have a "special of the day" that the local patrons were selecting. If you want a relaxing meal in a beautiful section of southern France, This is a "must see"!

Take the time to drive to this beautiful place. The people are lovely and the food is great. They even had wonderful cocktail options!

A lovely meal in a beautiful setting. Service was a little slow as they were so short staffed but not enough to detract from the meal. The highlight was the steak which was delicious !

We booked a special lunch for 8 to celebrate the end of a group holiday in Portugal and France. We had a wonderful time. A relaxed, wonderful meal seated outside under the lime tree. Service was also excellent.

We had lunch outside sitting under a blooming linden tree. I had the best meal of my 10-day trip through SW France. The restaurant became busy so the service became a bit slow toward the end of the meal, but we were there to enjoy the food and the view so this was not a problem. Started with a cocktail (Sauternes Martini cocktail), excellent wine (Chateau Guiraud sauternes) to accompany the food (fish on the bed of chopped artichokes in wine reduction sauce - umami heaven!), followed by a nicely presented not overly sweet dessert, and finished with an espresso. Will definitely make a point of returning there if I am back in this part of France whenever that might be.
