"La Chingada adds colour and flavour to a surreptitious location in that dingy middle area between Euston and King’s Cross—which is an accurate reflection of this no-man's-land friendship. It’s the perfect combination of a middle-ground location and a casual restaurant, that doesn’t say you don’t care, but it doesn’t say you care that much either. The warm, comfortable space with multicoloured murals and two long banquettes, is ideal for speed-eating a beef burrito. And as long as whoever you’re with likes Mexican food, it’s impossible not to enjoy their juicy al pastor. But you’ll know what they can and can’t eat anyway, right?" - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
"La Chingada adds colour and flavour to a surreptitious location in that dingy middle area between Euston and King’s Cross. There are multicoloured murals, tables, and salsas—and pretty much everything that works so well in its original Surrey Quays Mexican restaurant has been seamlessly transported across the river. Al pastor and carnitas are juicy and fruity with moments of spice. And the tortillas, corn and made with reliable integrity, are excellent. Come by on Sunday to check out their dish of the day, be it chilaquiles or pozole." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna

"Like its original spot in Surrey Quays, La Chingada adds colour and flavour to a surreptitious location in that dingy middle area between Euston and King’s Cross. There are multicoloured murals, tables, and salsas—and pretty much everything that works so well in its original location has been seamlessly transported across the river. It’s a warm, comfortable space marked by two long banquettes that are perfect for margarita-fuelled birthday celebrations or big family get-togethers with buggies, beef burritos, and all. The tacos have maintained high standards. Al pastor and carnitas are juicy and fruity with moments of spice. And the tortillas, corn and made with reliable integrity, are excellent. You should come by on Sunday to check out their dish of the day, be it chilaquiles or pozole." - Jake Missing
"We’re not in the business of overstating things because we’re, like, pragmatic and relatable and all those things. But La Chingada is a gastronomic revelation for London and an epiphany in the shape of a taco. The little Mexican spot with a kaleidoscopic chicken shop aesthetic makes food that will have you dancing on the pavements of Surrey Quays. You want to order the el pastor - chunks of marinated pork, with onion and punches of green and red salsa - and the carnitas and the chorizo too, and also the fried chicken (complete with a deliciously molten chilli and butter sauce) and, well, pretty much everything else. Before you ask, here’s the link." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
