Amazing place with amazing food. Not a single complain about food or service. They constantly check on you, food was perfectly cooked and great flavors.

I usually go to La Chope for a beer a few times throughout year and the beers are good and the servers are nice. However, the MTLaTable food was very disappointing. For the main course, I got the oat and Jerusalem artichoke risotto and the taste was terrible. The flavored oil floating on top of the ‘soupy’ unappetizing oat risotto was overpowering the dish in a really bad way and making me nauseous. Additionally, there seemed to be no Jerusalem artichoke in this dish and the oat on its own was just bland. This dish was so bad that no one finished their plate at our table. For dessert, even though the MTLaTable website mentions Spéculos panna cotta, the restaurant actually served a Spéculos mousse which was actually quite good. It was not overly sweet with a subtle taste of Spéculos. The berry coulis was also good but there was too much of it in my opinion. For the first course, I got the mushroom stew which seemed to be more of sauteed mushrooms but the dish was well seasoned and good!

Amazing experience! 👏🏼💯👍🏼 Very welcoming staff, afternoon on their terrasse, simply took fries&mayo and a rhum, perfect service, very fresh food, super crispy fries (best I had in a long time! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😋), also tried their spicy sauce Chou Chou Ouch, mixed with mayo, perfect and amazing combination! The restaurant and terrace are completely wheelchair accessible. There's a full very large accessible bathroom from the building (with direct door to the restaurant), very convenient, space between tables that can also be moved if needed. Staff very professional, no weird look or remarks, so great, they seemed to be used to have disabled customers. 10000% recommend it!

Ok - so amazing; exactly why Montreal is right there to compete with the best of North America; the beers were lights out (red ale & cask ale) and dishes like Boudin Noir & shrimp in a pear and fennel sauce; *I mean crazy gr8*…!

Amazing brewpub in a nice neighborhood that tourists should check out. Wonderful decor, the bright tanks over the bar is a great touch. It was nice out, so I took advantage of the lovely terrace. I absolutely love the variety of beers here, and everything I've tried was great. I love that they're brewing English styles like ESB and a dark mild. Excellent service. I didn't try the food, but it looked amazing, gotta come back for brunch. Definitely worth a detour.

Seven shades of awesomeness! Enjoyed the beers a bunch - some excellent variety. Fantastic food - The Ploughman's was a fabulous local variation. The terrasse was brilliant and the serving staff friendly and informative. Go there, you'll have fun.

The fish and chips were perfect. The sour beer was some of the best I had all summer. The staff was laid back and professional, the playlist was smacking and the atmosphere was inviting as hell.

My wife and I had a good time at La Chope Angus. They have a wonderful selection of beers, which I think almost anyone will be able to find one that they enjoy. They also come in multiple different sizes. My wife loved being able to order a small 5 oz beer. We had the "rilette de porc" and the "beignets de courgettes" for appetizers. The rilette de porc was good. It came with pickled vegetables, which I thought went super well with our beer selections. The beignets were alright. They lacked flavor/seasoning. As mains, we had the fish and chips as well as their poutine to which we added smoked meat for $2. The fish and chips were good. I enjoyed the coleslaw that came with it. It had a nice level of acidity to balance the fried fish. The fries were also hot and crispy. The poutine was alright. It didn't blow our minds away, but it was a decent poutine. Overall, if you're looking for a chill afternoon lunch or a couple of beers with friends, I'd definitely recommend La Chope Angus. The only "negative" was that the staff were overworked. The sections they were taking care of were a bit too large for them so when there was a rush of customers, our waitress had a lot of trouble keeping up, but she was very sweet to us when she could tend to our table.
