The Best Micheladas In LA

"La Chuperia has two locations (one in Lincoln Heights, one nearDLTA) and both make monster truck-sized micheladas. Our go-to is the Chuper Michelada, which comes in a goblet dripping with chamoy. That's as sweet as things get, though, because the cocktail itself tastes fresh and tomato-y, like a V8 wandered into a bar. We should also mention that the beer isn't poured into the drink but rather the bottle is dunked upside down into your glass, where it sits submerged like a capsized vessel. Each one costs $17. Consider this a mini-meal featuring peeled shrimp, some cucumber slices, and a spicy tamarind stick. " - sylvio martins

La Chuperia Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"With three locations scattered across town, La Chuperia is known for making some of the spiciest, saltiest, and biggest micheladas in LA. Some of their drinks are borderline meals with various snacks dangling from the rim, like the massive Chuper Michelada. It comes in a goblet that’s dripping in chamoy syrup before it gets filled with smoky Clamato juice and your choice of beer. We should mention that the beer isn’t actually poured into the drink, but rather the bottle’s dunked upside down into your glass, where it sits submerged like a capsized vessel. You’ll also be able to snack on peeled shrimp, some cucumber slices, a spicy tamarind stick, and even lick the chamoy off the rim if you’re into that. Other than being extra, these micheladas are delicious and have a refreshing vegetable flavor from the tomato juice that doesn’t get overpowered by everything else going on." - Sylvio Martins

Nice spot! Food and drinks were good. The micheladas super good. Margaritas are good as well. I like that they had the music at a good volume where customers are able to conversate. Friendly staff, definitely will be going again.

This place has the Dirtiest restrooms I’ve ever seen. If that’s the way they clean their restrooms I wonder how clean is their food. The food is good! Alpastor tacos are really good. Handmade tortillas. Also the drinks are really good. That’s why 2 stars. You’ve to be 21 and older to enter. The only thing I didn’t like was the restrooms. They were the dirtiest restrooms I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. The service is also not the best.

stopped at La Chuperia after a hike and got delicious foods and drinks (we'd earned it). We got a mango margarita, Tamarindo margarita, a carne asada burrito, and a pastor torta. All the food was super delicious. House salsa not too spicy. The mango marg was good, very sweet. The Tamarindo marg was AWESOME.

Micheladas were a bit lemony but they are still good, the 17 dll Nachos were a big disappointment, the carne asada was cold you could taste the cold grease on the tongue,I told the cashier but she said OH and she walked away, I left most if it on the table. And saw a little surprise that I won't talk about since I was comped a beer to stay quiet. I won't be back and I will not recommend. I was so wanting to like this place since it's close to work. The price was also high. ONE michelada, ONE 12oz beer and ONE nachos, total price 42 dlls,
