"The restaurant occupies a prime position in the heart of this medieval town packed with old stone buildings and half-timbered houses. Chef Maxime, a local, and his wife Patricia, who hails from Lima, have created a delightful space in which you can sit back and lap up their hospitality. Fantastic restaurant. Brilliant staff. They even had gluten free bread (as toast) for our daughter. Kids menu - proper mini adults food rather than the standard breaded food/burgers. Highly recommend.

We visited with my husband and daughter in December 2023 from London. The food was amazing! My husband still remembers the beef cannelloni saying was the best thing he ever tried. The cocktails were also excellent. We really enjoyed our time there and would love to go back soon.

We ate here on Friday evening during a stopover in Chateaubriant.
We had booked for 8.30 but arrived an hour earlier and asked if we could eat then due to arriving earlier than expected.
This was no problem and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The service was fantastic and the food exceptional. We chose the 40 euro menu which was incredible value for money considering the quality and presentation
. The flavours of the food were delicious and well thought out. The aperitif selection of meats and bread ( great selection, particularly liked the truffle in the meat it was so subtle, Tuna starter was so fresh and beautifully presented and the meat terrine with the foie gras chutney , yummy. For main we chose the fish and beef, the beef melted in your mouth and the sauce was again delicious with a hint of truffle.
Dessert we chose the Rhubarb Mille feuille , the pastry was so light , I had the cheese, again delicious.
Equally the wine was beautiful , we chose the red Chapoutier a good selection of wines to choose from on the menu.
We will definitely recommend and be back.
