Yelp
1 star for being nice... 1/2 star for the food.
Other reviewers who have stated that this is the best cuban sandwich they've ever had have clearly never had a cuban sandwich. Mine was among the worst I've had, and I've had many.
Dried out, unseasoned pernil, soggy, slimy bread, and while I'm not 100% certain, I believe it was mozzarella cheese (hard to distinguish in the mushy bread, but it definitely didn't taste like swiss).
Sandwiches are pre-made with tasteless oil instead of real mojo inside, then toasted in the sandwich press to order. So outside is nice and crispy, but inside bread is slimy, gummy mush.
Empanada had home made wrapping filled with generic tasting taco filling.
Maduros were mostly undercooked. A couple of delicious, caramelized, properly cooked bites and the rest were yellow and way underdone.
Another deduction for not having any spanish hot sauce or salsa. They gave me franks red hot sauce on the side (think generic buffalo wing sauce).
Busy place... I guess locals don't discriminate on taste. I drove 20 minutes to have a cubano here after reading the rave reviews. Hopefully I can save you from making the same mistake.
