If you are looking to enjoy a great dinner with your family and friends I recommend you to visit this restaurant. It was my husband and kids first time at this place and we left definitely satisfied with everything from the beginning to end. Great service from management and staff. Great environment. Food was delicious that even my youngest child finished all her food. Definitely going back. Oh and by the way that Albóndiga Soup was the best 😋 couldn’t leave without trying Dessert 🍨 Thank you at La Cocina Bar and Grill on Bouquet Canyon Rd. for your great service! 💚

Google
I love the food. I am spoiled and won't eat any other mexican food elsewhere. The service is excellent. I've been coming here for a long time. The Cadillac margaritas are consistently good as is the food. The staff are attentive and so kind.

Google
There's a reason we keep coming here for 25 years. These folks have it down. The food is amazing - the tortilla soup is the best I've ever had! The salsa -- OMG the salsa is just the best. The food comes out so quick, too. Your water glass is never empty. We've loved coming here for many many years.

Google
Good food, fresh with fast service. I had the chicken Taco and Enchilada combo. September 11, 2025 Food is still amazing. I had the 2 chicken enchiladas 😋

Google
Great LaCocina location, we have been coming here since they opened. The food is consistently good. Sometimes parking can be difficult, mostly on the weekend.

Christopher S.

Google
Trendy place popular with locals. Great happy hour pricing with friendly service. The bar was really cranking out the drinks and people seemed to be having a good time. We had a nice visit and the manager checked on us to make sure we were happy. I'll be back again!

Tony M.

Google
La Cocina is Mexican food adjacent. However, the drinks go down smoothly and sometimes the vibe is lively. If you're in the mood for commercialized Mexican food, this is the spot.

Lois W.

Google
Yesterday was my first visit there. Our tour was led by the director. She was very knowledgeable it was interesting to learn about the Gibsons. We got to hear them sing boy are they loud! It was fun to see how fast and easily they moved about the enclosures swinging from Branch to branch bright they look like they're well taken care of.

Yelp
You know when you spend $25 for Camerones Al Diabla is it too much to ask for something in your salad besides just lettuce! Like maybe some onions and tomatoes. They have onions and tomatoes, right?

Karen T.

Yelp
Food and service are good. Disappointing that I was unable to use my gift card there because they do not have a reader. There should have been signage outside and inside indicating this since the card was purchased at this site.

Yelp
I suggest to double check your order. Always missing something here. Seems horribly managed and they have a B rating !!

Yelp
This is our local Mexican restaurant. Everyone is super friendly, the food is delicious. Anything you order you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for menudo, this is the spot. The portions are very generous. Have a Cadillac margarita and you'll want to keep coming back. They have an outdoor patio. We enjoy sitting in the bar area.

Yelp
Very rude waiter serving the outside patio at 6:00 PM on Mother's Day. We came with a party of eight and when I placed my order I distinctly told him no cheese on my chicken tortilla soup and no dairy of any kind on my entree. When he arrived with the soup it had a big pile of cheese. When I told him I had asked for no cheese he told me that I had only said that about my entree. Hello, genius, why would I do that?! He proceeded to try to serve it to me and gave me a dirty look when I asked that he bring me one without cheese. He was rude toward me the rest of the evening when I was very obviously trying to enjoy Mother's Day with Family and friends. I didn't catch his name and I will refrain from describing him, but management can figure it out. There was not another large party there at that time.

Yelp
This restaurant is right around the corner from where we live. My wife and I frequent them at least twice weekly. It's a great place to grab Mexican food and some drinks. The restaurant is not big at all...it's a small room, and during peak times, there will be a wait to get a table. The inside is dark, but nicely decorated and has always been very clean. The front desk manager knows us by name, as she does for most of the guests that come in. She is very friendly and efficient in getting people seated, answering phones and running takeout to the front. Once seated, you'll get some warm tortilla chips and excellent salsa within a minute or two. They have three salsas available, a very mild one that they call "Mexican ketchup", the regular flavorful and mildly hot salsa, and a hot version that has some real kick to it. It's made in house and is always good. The menu has no surprises, it's the typical offering at a Mexican restaurant, but the food always is fresh, tastes good and is served piping hot. There is a wide selection, including egg dishes served all day long. Their base margarita is "OK"...I'm sure they don't use anything other than well tequila, but the pour is good and the alcohol content is generous. My wife usually orders a Cadillac to smooth it out. They have a full bar, so you can get anything you want, plus they have a decent beer selection. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give them a try!

Yelp
Was not impressed! The food is not what I expected. Not sure why people's brag about this chain. But, I guess for the people that don't step out of Santa Clarita.. it must be good.

Yelp
This is a fantastic place, but do plan ahead with parking since it is a bit of a challenge. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed, so one of us went into the restaurant to get on the wait list while I continued to find a spot (it's a lot with designated spaces for multiple businesses). Finally, after I at last found a spot on the more desolate side of the business center's parking lot, my girlfriend and I waited outside for almost an hour, while being regaled by a wailing child whose parents let his high-frequency vocal gymnastics run wild. When we at last got a seat, we very much loved the authentic Mexican atmosphere. A group of servers in sombreros were singing Feliz Cumpleaños (Happy Birthday) at one group's table. There was an intriguing wall of curiosities near the bar that featured masks of luchadores, Mexican skull art, pictures taken from Mexican history, a Frieda Kahlo lithograph, sombreros, and skull masks. Our server was very friendly and attentive. While we awaited our order of burrito de vegetales and cheese enchiladas with chile relleno, delicious complementary chips and salsa sated our appetites and were quickly refilled without our asking anytime our supply ran dry. The entrees were delicious. Upon request you can swap refried beans for fresh bean soup with pico de gallo, which is absolutely amazing. My vegetarian burrito was loaded with fajita-style veggies and topped with red sauce. Everything was just such a pleasure to consume. The portions were large, especially for the relatively low price, and we were promptly given takeout containers to enjoy this feast later on. Though the parking is a headache, depending on the time of day, this restaurant is fantástico and should be added to anyone's list should the craving for authentic Mexican food hit you.

Yelp
Disappointing- one of my favorite plates have gone to shit. Hard shell tacos. Do not order them at all. Ugh even the front counter girl. This order comes out soggy. That's why I ordered the beans on the side. And still. The packaging sucks the places my tacos on a paper plate. And unsure what kind of tortillas. Not crunchy at all. They need make sure the meat is not wet and chopped lettuce is not moist. Never going to order them again.

Yelp
We don't come to this restaurant often for a couple of reasons. First, it's noisy and we always feel rushed. Tonight was no exception. From the moment we sat down, the waiter was on us. We ordered some drinks, as soon as they were placed in front of us he wanted to know what we wanted to order for dinner. We asked him to give us some time as we hadn't even looked at the menu yet. He returned in about 5 minutes to ask again. We again told him we weren't ready. The next time he came back we ordered. Before all of us were finished with our meals they began asking to remove the plates from the table. The food was excellent but we wanted to have a leisurely meal and talk with our friends but they made that very difficult.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
I've always liked coming here food is not great but good, drinks are good too, but I ordered a grande Cadillac margarita w/ extra shot and it was $23 dollars! The prices here have gone up a lot the last couple years. I know it's Bidenomics but it's getting way ton much. Next time I'll just get a regular Margarita.

Yelp
Found a live roach in my salad (it was swimming in ranch) I notified and showed the waiter. The waiter apologized and took the roach away with a napkin. I notified the manager and he advised that they do not have roaches. He was rude and did nothing to compensate my family and I for this situation. I was so grossed out that we didn't even eat our food. We were still charged for the food that we never ate. Still pisses me off. I use to love this place, but I will never go back based on this experience. After doing some research I found out that they have been shut down in the past for heath code violations. If I was treated better by the manager I would've been fine. I understand that restaurants have bugs, etc.... But to blow it off and insinuate that I put a roach in my own salad is absolutely ridiculous. Based on my service I will be calling the health department until the management treats people better, and takes responsibility.

Yelp
La Cocina is one of a Popular Santa Clarita mini chain. Overall, the food and drink are decent. There is nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about. If you generic Mexican food with no pizzaz, then La Cocina may work for you.

Yelp
Frequent this place a lot & love the people, food, & service! It just feels like home when we are here. Thank you La Co- we love you!

Yelp
One of the best Mexican restaurants great Cadillac margaritas always crowded so you know it has good food

Yelp
I've lived in this town since 1988. This was only my 2nd time in La Cocina; the first time being at the one on Seco Cyn. We were craving good Mexican food and didn't want to drive to Castaic to Las Rocas. Is it me? I don't understand the appeal (4 star avg. score on Yelp) to this place. Nothing tasted fresh. And it was the same during our first time which is why we haven't been back for over a decade. I had the chicken and steak fajitas. I kid you not when I say the chicken breast and flank steak was just sliced, then laid on top of the veggies. Aren't fajitas supposed to be sautéed or charred, The chicken was pale and unseasoned. The steak was decent , but very thin and a bit dry. Albeit hot, the veggies weren't sautéed, nor seared. Just laid on the pan. So yes, the bottom veggies were seared, but not the veggies that did not touch the pan. My husband had the 3 item combo: taco, Chile Relleno and carnitas enchilada. My husband isn't a 'foodie'. But he does appreciate good food. We didn't find it here. The chips were great. The salsa, just ok. I'm sure this seems like a harsh review. But with prices nowadays we have to be real.

Yelp
My friend and I went there earlier today at 3:00 PM for an early lunch/ Dinner. We ordered the large Margaritas, man they were tasty and delicious. We ordered food. A salad or soup came with meal, we both ordered the salad. It was a very good dinner salad, however, neither one of us was even half way done before our main course came. Very unsatisfying. The main course was good, I had two beef tacos with rice and beans, buddy had Taco, Enchilada with rice. Overall service was excellent and food delicious. $ price was within reason with two large margaritas. Jeff from Downey

Yelp
La Cocina doesn't disappoint! It doesn't matter which location. Today we decided to visit La Cocina on Bouquet Canyon at 4pm. The place wasn't busy but we were served chips and salsa asap. We ordered drinks and man their drinks rock! The mango frozen margarita with Tajine and Pina Colada! So refreshing and had the right amount of alcohol. We ordered Burrito Asada and a cheese quesadilla! Food came out piping out and delicious. The portion huge!!! Our server J. Rosales was so attentive! He was great!! Thank you Mr. Rosales!! Overall, we had a pleasant dinner!

Roses P.

Yelp
I'm really trying hard to "like" a Mexican restaurant in the SCV!! It's not happening. I will continue to drive 30-45 min for good Mexican food. Service is outstanding here, great margaritas but the burrito we ordered was hot outside and room temperature inside, how is this possible??? Thanks for the great service, smiles and drinks. Food needs improvement.

Yelp
Good Mexican restaurant in Santa Clarita. Good food and fun environment. Love this place.

Yelp
Came here recently and was happy with my meal. Ordered the Burrito De Carne Asada and it was delicious. Meat was cooked well and the rice and beans were good as well. Free chips and salsa are a huge plus and the service was good as well. Didn't have to wait long for my food.
google avatar

Lynda F.

Yelp
Disappointed. I love LaCo - always have and have frequented this location since they opened. But today I called in an order for pick up - the total was $24! For one burrito a la carte and small chips and salsa? Really? I thought it must be a mistake but it wasn't. It'll be a while before I go back - that's just too much. I know prices have gone up, but that's ridiculous.

Yelp
Not dog friendly. Do not go here if you have a dog. Even a wide open patio, dogs not allowed. Was such a favorite local spot and now just horrible.

Yelp
We haven't been inside since before Covid, and very likely won't go back inside for a very long time. But we often get takeout and it is, if nothing else consistently good. Honestly, my biggest criticism comes from packaging for takeout. And I know that's not a big deal, but when the only way you eat a restaurant's food is via takeout, it becomes the big deal. They don't mark the containers, so you don't know what's in them till you open them up and they only use those older tin containers with cardboard tin lined covers, so you can't reheat in the microwave. Now maybe that's a choice because they want you to reheat only in the oven, but that's a me decision, not a you decision. But the food is always good. The food is also always quite messy, but that's not a bad thing. And what I mean by messy is when you open the container you find that, for instance, the taco has fallen apart and there is as much in the shell as there is outside of the shell. I guess I just means you need to scoop everything back in the shell and make your own taco. While my family almost always orders from the combinations, they love the tacos, enchiladas and chili rellenos, I usually order big... A burrito or one of their specialties. And I've never been disappointed by the food. Our go to location is this one, at Plum and poke, but we have eaten in the others as well and can say the same thing. If I had one real honest complaint, it's they get so crowded on Friday and Saturday nights that it's almost impossible to call in an order. I would love it if they would modernize and open themselves to online ordering. 80% of the restaurants in the SCV had that option now and it has revolutionized dining in this town. But easily four stars.

Yelp
We were so happy to find this amazing place while in town for magic mountain. Exactly what we were looking for. Authentic, delicious Mexican food and yummy cocktails. My youngest picky eater said they have the best tacos he's had in his entire life. Ambiance was great and exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't believe how busy they were the entire time yet made you feel like you were their top priority. We will make this a regular spot for us on our visits to the area. Thank you!!

Yelp
The food here is like heaven! It's amazing and the service is so nice! The place looks very nice too!

Yelp
Haven't been here in years. The hostess sat us down right away. It seemed to be a good crowd of people. We sat near the bar and there seem to be some sports game on & you could hear screams, cheers and yelling. Not so bad. Food was ok. Basic. I might wait a couple years to come back again.

Yelp
Some restaurants go down hill after time .. food quality , service time taken to deliver food to the table .. lack of cooking staff this restaurant today was an example to that. After all these years since opening . Time to say thank you for the past service but today was that bad .. turning Sabor into our family restaurant going forward ... the restaurant at my visit was halfway empty in front and back .. and still had a double the time it takes to delivery the food . Simple food . Next time just be truthful with your costumers on way it failed . Lack of staff missing food . Staff just doesn't want to work ?? Then we can understand . Sorry and it will take another 15 kin's or more is not the answer . .. this was to be expected in the world of restaurants. .. next time just time is what happened , I am sorry your not getting your food is not good enough.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a locals Mexican food restaurant that welcomes all. The used to be very crowded, but lately we have been lucky an got a table right away. The have all the regular Mexican offerings, and a lot of custom drinks. Have inside, patio, and bar seating. The service has always been good. There are 3 locations around SCV.. all are good choices.

Yelp
Hands down best Mexican food in Santa Clarita. Best service, best salsa, best chips, best margaritas, great prices. (Although I wish happy hour would come back) This truly is our go to..and it's hard to find a Mexican place to beat it..so we keep going back. They will not let your chips and salsa run dry. Yes, yes and yes. Oh, did I say atmosphere? Check. And a patio too, if you'd rather be outside. Thanks laco!

Yelp
This is the best Mexican food restaurant in Santa Clarita hands down!!! From the service to the awesome drinks and food! We like to pick places that have a more lively ambiance and this place has the upbeat life that we love! We have a small child who is special needs who can sometimes be loud at unexpected times and the best thing is, nobody can tell! the waiters are so patient with her and know it's not out of the ordinary to bring a plate of whip cream before we order or how much she loves the birthday song! As parents looking for a night out or a family dinner this place is the best! Thank you to the staff of La Cocina

Bobby D.

Yelp
So.. been here many times and have had good food and good drink. My go to is a jalapeño margarita of which the bartender always cuts a jalapeño to put in per my request because I prefer some spice and removing seeds takes all the heat out. Today Joel (name on bill) said he won't do it and they "don't" have fresh jalapeño's. Really? They don't have fresh jalapeños?? Why would he straight up lie? He save me money at this establishment for two reasons. 1. He straight out lied as we all know they have fresh jalapeños. No room for severs/bartenders to lie to a customer. 2. Joel showed a lack of integrity representing this establishment and if that is what the ownership promotes, I don't need to give them my money.

Yelp
I have been coming here for probably close to 20 years. It's not the most authentic but the prices r reasonable and the drinks are good (prob what keeps me coming back). I am pretty frequently writing on yelp and La Cocina isn't a place I felt like promoting or downing until today. I am not positive of the waiters name but we have had him countless times. He is usually a bit off on getting the orders correct and we have always assumed he was "buzzed" but twice we have come across him completely inebriated. I can't say that he was wasted today but I can say: Our food took forever (usually received in 15 mins, took about 40) the order came out wrong and it took 15 mins to get the right order out. By that time I had finished my food and my husband got his, we were over it. The waitor had a bad attitude when we brought it up he didn't apologize or try and make it right. I won't say we won't ever go back to La Cocina but we def won't be going back to the plum canyon one. I'm sure anyone in management there would guess who I am talking about. I hope the issue is addressed

Andrew G.

Yelp
Great food, the margs are awesome, and they offer buckets of Cadillac margaritas to go. Get the Tres Marias enchilada plate
google avatar

Luis M.

Yelp
It honestly doesn't get any better than this for authentic Mexican food and drinks. I had a recent experience with this establishment this past weekend and for a busy Saturday night I'd say that I received better service/food than most others places I've been too. With service like that it explains why this place was jam packed with what I observed to be a lot of regulars. From start to finish my experience was amazing. Great welcoming staff, awesome service and even better food and drinks. Don't forget to get yourself Cadillac Margarita

Yelp
Brought my niece who was down from Northern California for lunch. I had never been to this location, I usually go ro the location on Sierra and Golden Valley. Service and food were just as good at this location.

Theresa B.

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks! The service was great. We will definitely be back. The fish tacos were delicious.

Yelp
I looove La Cocina! Their food is rich, flavorful, and authentic. I strongly recommend the enchiladas, they're my favorite enchiladas out of all the mexican restaurants I've been to (which is a lot mind you.) The plates are hot, filling, and delicious. The customer service is awesome too, as they always came by to check on us. The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and tables are spotless. I strongly urge you to check out this location, I've been to the other ones but this is my personal favorite. Can't wait to come back, I'd recommend this place to a friend anytime.

Yelp
Been here twice in as many weeks and will gladly be coming back as long as they remain just the way they are. This is some of the tastiest and most affordable food in Santa Clarita. The service is spot on... everyone here is attentive and respectful. The margaritas are absurdly affordable and they have almost literally a bazillion flavors. Guava with a tajine rim? Yes please. Stop reading this review and check this place out, pronto.
google avatar

K P.

Yelp
Never stops delivering. Traditional Mexi restaurant with decor and handpainted walls. Great margs, dips, and food. Always service with a smile and- I love it here.

Tim S.

Yelp
Ok, I've been going to La Cocina for years and they have excellent hard shell tacos. Went yesterday, on May 16, 2022, and ordered the same $4.75 tacos, which are already too expensive, and discovered the price went up 63%! Tacos al la carte are now $7.75 folks. Not kidding. I completely understand there's inflation but that's ridiculous. To break it down, I bought four tacos, 1/2 bag of chips, guacamole and salsa for $41.00 (no tip)! Grabbed a menu on the way out and it still says $4.75 a taco. Guess they need to update that. Yes the tacos are good but certainly not $7.75 good. That'll be the last time I go cause there are other options in SCV. Just to let you know, I'd give them four stars, but once you grossly over inflate the price that knocks off two stars for me.

Yelp
Love this place the food is great the customer service is also great. After micheladas closed we been looking for a great Mexican place and it does not disappoint. The one on bouquet is also great.

Yelp
My favorite place for strawberry margaritas made and shredded beef hard shell tacos. Joel is our favorite bartender who always makes the best strawberry margaritas. Fast and friendly service, large portions, with plenty of outside dining.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Love their tacos and enchiladas. Always packed, but that is a sign of just how good the food is. It is well worth the wait!

Maria M.

Yelp
This doesn't make me happy! We really like eating here! Tonight we went in early, 4:30pm we were served drinks and chips right away; but we had to retrieve menus. After 40 minutes no one came by to take our order. Two tables came i after us and drinks were served orders taken and food delivered! After 45 minutes we left disappointed

Yelp
Food: 3.5/5 I visited this restaurant with my wife and 2 kids. I had the camarones Culichi dish, wife had a shrimp taco and carne asada taco, daughter had loaded nachos, son had a cheese quesadilla and beans. They use Good quality ingredients. I like the fact that they use raw shrimp as opposed to frozen bagged shrimp. Their salsas had decent flavor, but mediocre and forgettable at best. Their "Spanish" rice had better flavor than most Mexican restaurants, but was on the dryer side. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Typical Mexican restaurant decor. Was dimly lit, borderline dingy nightclub vibe minus the dirtiness. The place was clean and you can tell they take pride in that. Seating was cozy and tight, but I liked that. Mexican music playing in background was excellent volume, enough to where you can hear the instruments and lyrics but still be able to hold a conversation with your family without having to lean in. This is Santa Clarita, so it was full of many regulars that live in the area. Most clientele were gringos who are very easy to please when it comes to their palette, which is likely the reason the food was on the blander side. Patrons seemed nice and polite, a nice experience overall. Service: 3/5 99% of the staff were on point, very attentive, very hard working. As a first generation Mexican myself, I have authority to say that it was clear that the majority of the staff were immigrants with thick accents, which I absolutely love. And it's because of that that I immediately spoke to Spanish to all of them so as to establish a human connection with them and give them a break from having to painfully practice their broken English. It's almost like two Vietnam war veterans giving each other the silent head nod/salute, if that makes sense. The unfortunate reason that I ranked their service 3/5 instead of 5/5 is because our server, Steve Buscemi's Mexican doppelgänger, was noticeably impatient/curt with me and my family. He was borderline rude and didn't appear to care for us speaking Spanish to him. All the while, he had a huge/beaming grin with all the other tables he was assigned to. The only feasible conclusion I came to was that all his other tables were full of wealthier looking gringos that more than likely tip well. In his unfortunate, but overall accurate experience, Latinos that look like me and my family don't tip as well. Suffice it to say that if he would've been a little more pleasant to us, we would've tipped well like we always do. But because I believe he assumed we wouldn't, I made his self fulfilling prophecy come true and left him a $5 tip on a $80 bill.

Erika W.

Yelp
I've been coming here for forever, heck this was my very first job! Tonight was by far the worst service I've ever had. Our waiter was so rude, anytime we asked him a question he was short and seemed irritated. My order wasn't even right. I've never left la Cocina unhappy until tonight. Very disappointing.
