La Conchiglia

We loved the simplicity of the area , the hotel decorations are beautiful and modern but still have that old italian charm. We spoke to numerous people and they all wished they stayed at our hotel because is right in front of water so no steps to go to some great restaurants . You have to go to Le grotto del Africana (former africana nightclub which is now a wonderful out of this world restaurant at the end of the path after you pass il pirata 10/10 the food and views are so incredible I cried). Now on to La Conchiglia, it is a family own hotel with great service . They helped us booked a taxi and excursion with no problem. The breakfast eggs are the best I ever had so tasty . We loved the breakfast was from 730 to 11am if you wake up late you wont miss it. The cappucinos and the croissants I will dream about. The beach right in front which beware beach chairs have a cost everywhere in Italy but we used the hotel given bag and towels . It is a rocky beach so not comfortable to lay on for long time but gorgeous. The cleaning daily of the rooms was also great. We had very good water pressure ! and awesome very large room and bathroom. |They also have restaurants right in front of hotel (make reservations for tratoria d armandino but dont miss Africana restaurant).|We also had great pizza at maressa in praiano town .|We had a small issue where the balcony door was not closing problem and the hotel team could not had been better , they quickly hired someone to fix it and were very accomodating. It was a wonderful hotel only ten minutes by boat to Positano . I rather stay in Praiano before extra busy and steps galore Positano or Amalfi. We did a tour with La phlagia charter which was great. We will be back next year to this extra romantixlc and wonderful Praiano Hotel

I had a great 4 night stay at La conchiglia. The location is really nice, so quaint and quiet, but with a number of great restaurants as your neighbors and all the options to go to Positano, Amalfi and Capri available. The hotel owners are kind and accomodating. Breakfast had limited options compared to big hotels but high in quality products and effort, and it is served on the little sqare in front of the hotel. The room was a good size and housekeeping did an excellent job. The only fault I could find was that the walls of the room are thin and I coule hear water running in the pipes and people talking, which did wake me up a few times. The bed was on the harder side, so a good fit for me.

Beautiful location right on the water with great options for food! The Italian hospitality is fantastic as expected! And…. Can we talk about the restaurant, well, it might not be on the water but it is the best food in this area! Try the eggplant Parmesan! Fantastic view also!

Wonderful location to spend time with friends and family. Hotel is spotless, staff is very friendly, breakfast is out of this world, which makes your entire experience unforgettable. Shout out to the best staff on Amalfi Coast: Antonio, Martina, Mary, Raffella, and Corina – A+!!!!!!!! We had a wonderful time, thanks to you all!!!! 😊

Missing this spot everyday. Fiancé and I had the BEST time. Hotel has access to a gorgeous beach just steps away from your room and quick access to Positano via water taxi (~15 min boat ride). Felt like such a private and peaceful place to come back to every night. Can’t recommend enough!!

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was divine. Lovely family run restaurant, friendly service and much better value for money compared to other restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend!

When people have asked us what our favorite place was on our month long honeymoon, we talk about our stay here! Friendliest family who run it, beautiful location and view, and the breakfast is to die for! I ate a lot…and they were very kind about it! Haha! Carlo was wonderful and the cappuccinos every morning were perfect! The location really cannot be beat! Splurge for a sea view room and prepare to feel like an honorary family member! Having access to the secluded beach was fantastic as well!
