2 people: aperitifs, separate starters, mains and deserts, and a lovely bottle of white Beaujolais. We couldn’t fault any of it. And the service was wonderful. Slightly retro music (not intrusive): Queen, Pink Floyd, Chris Isaac etc. One of our best restaurant experiences for quite some time.

Amazing food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A warm and welcoming team. Lovely, simple, dècor and --rare for Paris -- space between the tables so you can really have private conversations. We will definitely be back!

Do yourself a favor, visit this place and order everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. The food was of great taste and the service was awesome. In my opinion the chef deserves a star if he hasn’t already got a one. Food was at a reasonable price. It is a winner in my opinion

Great experience with amazing food, great service, and very reasonable prices. My friend and I shared the foie gras starter which was outstanding. For entrees, we were feeling quite hungry and wanted to try out more of the menu, so I ordered the octopus while my friend ordered the pork with gnocchi and we also got a crying tiger to share. The octopus was incredible while my friend was blown away by the gnocchi and the marination of the crying tiger, and the pork itself was also excellent. We also got the chocolate profiteroles dessert which was great as well, with a wonderful crispy outside but an incredibly soft inside. Highly recommended and can't wait to come again next time I'm in Paris.

One of the best meals I've ever had bar none. I'm going back to Paris this April and will definitely be going back!

The food here is absolutely outstanding and for those that have dined Michelin, the quality provided should be familiar. While at this point in time, there are no special stars attached to the restaurant , the reasons are blatantly obvious and incredibly minor (wine glasses, pairings, etc). Regardless, this is one of the best meals I've had in Paris and highly recommend a visit. The prices are beyond fair for the quality of food being served. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. Looking forward to coming back.

Paris was so kind to us. Contre Allée was the last place we ate before coming home. My boyfriend and I had been hoping to see the famous Paris Catacombs but they had been closed. We ended up walking around the street to find lunch. Contre Allée had many stickers on the door saying they were a Michelin Star-rated restaurant. We were very eager to try the food once we looked at the menu! I believe it changes daily. Ludo was our server. He was very polite and really made a huge impression on us! He was kind enough to make suggestions, translated for us, and gave us a truly wonderful experience. We started with an olive pate with bread. The pate was fabulous! Salty but just the right amount to compliment the bread. We also ordered an Asian-inspired salad to start. We fell in love with that salad! It was bursting with flavor and totally wonderful! I had gotten a steak with fries for my meal. It was amazing! The fries were also perfectly salted and my steak was cooked to perfection. Ludo had made a wine suggestion for us and it too, was great! We finished our meals with a cup of espresso. It was so delectably creamy and smooth. I will dream of that espresso! I hope one day to visit Paris again. I fell in love with the city. I would absolutely go back to Contre Allée if given the opportunity!

Amazing food. The owners are so welcoming. The food is beyond description. Everything was fresh and prepared when you order. I had the sea bass, phenomenal. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This is a great place to eat! This was our first meal in Paris and it was awesome. Both servers were friendly and took time to explained the menu items. I had the Sea Bass and dessert sampler with cappuccino. I also had a Mojito. I would definitely come back!

Nice atmosphere, great service, very tasty food. Butternut squash soup with roasted chestnuts was absolutely delicious. Waitress made great wine recommendations as well.

best foie gras in town. really helpful and welcoming service, great wine list, reasonable prices. loved this one.
