Maplewood roaster with a mission‑minded approach and years of relationship‑based sourcing. St. Louis Magazine has chronicled its fair‑trade focus and partnership with a neighboring bakery; the coffee bar remains a dependable stop for beans and a clean, balanced cup.

I stopped here for an early morning coffee with a friend. The aroma of the bakery was amazing, but I didn’t try any of that stuff this time. My fresh brewed coffee was flavorful with a nice touch of mellowness. The service was friendly and attentive. I don’t know if they serve the coffee in real cups. They didn’t ask, not did I. Overall, a good experience and I’d come back.

Google
This is a great place for a morning cup of coffee. This is my second time here. They have a freshly baked bread place in the back. There are enough tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee. From ordering to receiving the coffee, it was pretty fast. Parking here are mostly street parking.

Google
Got to try this place thanks to the 2025 STL Coffee Pass - so glad we did! The coffee was delicious and being able to grab some cinnamon chip bread in the same building was perfect! They had some fun latte flavors available for the summer, but I’ll be coming back to try their standard menu lattes soon!

A nice little stop in Maplewood to get coffee in the area. However, my companion and I wanted to study and stay but there is actually very little seating and the staff were very noisy with chatting and laughter. I get not a lot of seating due to the size and layout of the restaurant (and after all we did have a place to sit- provably not on a crowded day tho), but the noisy-ness of the staff was definitely a bit much especially with my companion and I not being the only guests trying to study in at least mildly quiet conditions. The noise and seating issues aside, we very much enjoyed the coffee, the chocolate bars, and our time there. They have some fun lattes for the season and extra props as well for having the roaster right there in store and the grinding as well, you know you’re getting a quality cup of coffee that is made right from start to finish right before your eyes. Keep up the good work, just maybe quiet down a little!

I love the seasonal drinks they have. My husband is a part of their coffee club and likes it a lot. The atmosphere is very cute and relaxed.

Google
Pour over Ethiopian - good flavor, can taste the notes and smells like fruit. Also cappuccino was good. White mocha flavor was growing on the drinker. Barista was nice and very helpful. Bought cinnamon rolls for work from Great Harvest - haven’t tried them yet.

Google
These are my favorite beans in the city! I’m a member of the coffee club here and if you make coffee at home you should consider it too. You pay for the year, get a monthly bag of beans and a drink of choice on pick up. Delicious, cute, and cozy. The monthly drink specials always have me trying something new. I also think they have the best pumpkin spice latte I’ve ever had.

Google
La Cosecha is a nice little spot to hang out with friends, grab a quick cup to go, or take homework for some peaceful study time! The baristas are the friendliest baristas in town and they learn names quickly! Every time I come in I can be sure of a conversation about any and all things with a barista. Love this place! Also they sell fair trade coffee and drinks! 5 Stars cause they tick all the boxes! Friendly, nice environment, good coffee, and great place!

Yelp
Small coffee shop located in the heart of Maplewood. They share a space with Great Harvest Bread Co. They have a few chairs and tables inside and outside for you to enjoy your coffee. They also sell coffee merch. The coffee was meh and it could've been what i ordered. I tried one of their August specials, the root beer float trip. It's half coffee, half rootbeer w/cold foam. It's a weird combination, but with some flavored coffee and some vanilla flavour added to the cold foam, this could be a hit. I wasn't greeted upon entering, and while standing at the counter to order, I wasn't acknowledged nor did anyone say we'll be with you shortly. There were two workers behind the counter. One was making someone's drink order and not sure what the other one was doing. They were not busy, as there was only one person waiting on a drink, so I'm unsure what the issue was.

Yelp
Went to la cosecha and as soon as you walk in you are bombarded with the rich, sweet aromas of fresh bread, and coffee. The interior is quaint, half coffee shop, half bakery. I got in and out quick with a nice little latte. A little light on the ice(i love lots of ice). The baristas were great. Got me in and out quick with solid service. The coffee was solid. Nothing extraordinary. But, better than going to some commercial spot. It is quiet inside so a great spot to study, although you will be tempted by the sweet aroma of cinnamon rolls and fresh sourdough.

Yelp
Cute little spot kind of easy to miss with the sign pointing sideways and it's also connected with a bakery as well. The coffee was really good great service very friendly it was pretty quiet inside. The bakery was cute didn't really get a chance to try anything from there. The prices were fair!

Yelp
Great coffee shop and very good tasting coffee. Love coming here in the morning for an iced coffee and the service is always great and prompt.

Yelp
Say it with me now: "Seasonal drinks are the best." And now go try one at La Cosecha! Every single month they have a new drinks to try & every time they nail it. Today I tried Sweater Weather and it's heavenly. It helps make the transition to cooler weather that much easier. There's an apple cider on the menu I want to try too though! The baristas are always very kind and friendly. I've never had an issue receiving my drink hot & delicious quickly. This coffee shop shares its space with a bakery which helps keep it busy. Everyone is very respectful though so while there are some soft conversations going on, it's not particularly noisy. Please make trying LC a priority on your to-do list!

Yelp
We were looking for a place to get a hot drink after being outside on a cold day, and this popped up. I prefer local spots so this was perfect. I love that their menu isn't super complicated, has something for everyone, but doesn't make it hard to choose what you want. We didn't have to wait in line and we're immediately helped - my BIL got an earl grey with honey and she pulled out loose leaf tea. It was super fresh! My brother got a latte that he said was delicious, and their pup got a cup of whipped cream that she gobbled up! My dad and I both got the large chai tea lattes - here was my only complaint, we paid for the large but she batch made them and definitely didn't make enough, so she basically gave us each 12oz of it. I'm all for batch making when it's convenient, but not when it shorts customers. Probably should be doing it with two large drinks! The chai was super earthy and delicious, not overly sweet like a lot of other places. Their espresso machine is a beast and froths the milk perfectly. She even made a cute design in the latte. My dad also snagged a loaf of cinnamon bread from the back of the store and it was so good. If we lived closer, this would definitely be my regular coffee stop. So cute and welcoming, perfect atmosphere to plug in your laptop and work for a few hours. Love it!

Yelp
We went to La Cosecha on Monday morning. We both got a speciality drink for October - the sweater weather latte! It was soooo good! I asked the worker for a recommendation since I don't like things too sweet and she did a great job at making recommendations. We stayed for awhile and colored. It was a great atmosphere with coffee shop music.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE a good cup of coffee. Just as much as I love coffee, I love the experience of enjoying a cup in a cafe/shop that has an ambience that adds to the experience. Sadly, my trip to La Cosecha fell short on both. The coffee shop itself is kind of bland, with no real identity. They share a space with Great Harvest Bread co, who takes up the back half of their location. As a fan of chai, I was excited to try their Chai Mocha as this is something I have never had. As I got past the foam, I was completely overwhelmed with chai. WAY too much chai, that I couldn't taste the espresso or mocha at all. Perhaps this was a one off experience, but as this was my first stop in it doesn't have me rushing to get back.

Yelp
Frequent flyer here We love this place! Also my husband and I both ordered a vanilla latte this morning and the barista put "the sequel" on mine. So funny! My daughter loves the cinnamon rolls from great harvest as well. Thanks so much for a lovely date morning spot
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee shop inside Great Harvest in Kirkwood. I knew them from their food truck and finally decided to stop by. Fairly straightforward selection. They have a few seasonal options, which is generally what I go for. Friendly staff and smooth coffee. If you want any food or baked goods, you will need to go to the other counter in the place.

Yelp
I just love the vibe of this shop. And they have the best matcha in STL. It is creamy, they actually mix it all and it has a smooth matcha taste. I also love their coffee :)

Yelp
Cool coffee shop in Maplewood. Love to get their roasted coffee. The owners are great

Yelp
Atmosphere: 5/5 Coffee: 4/5 Service: 5/5 As I continue my adventure with trying all the different coffee shops in St. Louis, I arrive at La Cosecha Coffee Roasters tucked away in Maplewood. The coffee shop is unique because in the front half it has La Cosecha but in the back it is attached to Great Harvest Bread Company (Which in my opinion is an excellent choice to have in house) which makes the space very spacious. Not a lot of table space but when I came it, it was empty so it was comfortable to me The barista was very helpful with recommendations and I decided on trying the new latte which was the Honey Lavender Latte. It was very good. I just wish I had more potent flavors of the lavender and honey blended in because at times when drinking it the latte seemed muted. Overall, a great place to come work if you want somewhere cozy. Can't speak on the bread because I haven't tried it there, but I have tried Great Harvest Bread Co when it was located on Olive and it was delicious :)

Yelp
I have fond memories of studying or reading with a cup of coffee here during pre-covid times. I always liked how there was a little bread shop in the back half of the store. Also, the shop where I used to work in Maplewood would often get coffee beans from here and it's great quality.
google avatar

Christy A.

Yelp
Gregory was awesome! Very friendly, hip, cool baristo (I made that up for the male barista's worldwide). This cool little coffee house shares a Maplewood storefront space with the sinfully delicious delicacies of Great Harvest Bread Co. Talk about a double threat! Grab a loaf of something sweet and shuffle up front for a nice hot cup of Joe. The space is super cute but it's a bit small due to the operation of two businesses. There are tables for those choosing to dine-in as well as items for sale ranging from stickers to coffee beans and a bunch of cute local gift items. ~Christy

Yelp
Wow, what a terrific coffee find. I was passing through Maplewood on business and was craving a real quality brew. Stopped into the bakery with La Cosecha in the front. The aroma of coffee really hit me. I got an espresso and a nitro brew iced. Both were fantastic as was the staff. Found out all the coffee is Fair Trade sourced...which I love. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly staff gets them 3 Stars, the weak coffee gets them a 2. I ordered Buddy The Elf Mocha and it was the most flavorless and bland coffee drink I have ever drank. How can an espresso drink with steamed milk, dark chocolate sauce and maple spice syrup topped with whipping cream have no flavor? Not one of those flavors came through the entire drink. They either forgot to add ingredients, or they were using old stale ingredients. There are many other places to get a latte or mocha on Manchester, so I suggest you stroll up or down the road and get your caffeine fix elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
I ventured here with my wife when we needed to kill some time and just grab something to drink/eat. The coffee shop is connected to the Great Harvest Bread Company, which is a perfect compliment to the coffee shop. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, there are about 5 or 6 small table and small bar area in the back. It looked like this was more of a quick pit stop for the regulars. They came in, knowing exactly what they wanted, and left immediately after getting their coffee. I got their normal latte and really enjoyed it. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but I felt like the flavor and quality of a good cup of coffee was there. (They also used fair trade coffee which is a plus!) Definitely would come back again if I was in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I had the spiced brown sugar latte and a lavender vanilla latte. Both were perfectly made! Great coffee!
google avatar

Nathalia Z.

Yelp
What a great place to get coffee. You get two for one. There is a coffee shop and a bakery that bakes fresh bread. You can get sand from the bakery which is a plus. Back to the coffee shop! If you have any dietary restriction, they will have something for you. I'm on keto diet and somehow the cashier was able to accommodate by pulling out 6 different types of milk! You can imagine how I felt. Lastly they have happy hour from 2-4pm where all their drinks are 50% off. Must try

Yelp
I've walked past this place a hundred times and never noticed it. I'm glad I did. La Cosecha makes a mean drip coffee. They also sell roasted beans. The person behind the counter was very helpful and offered me coffee tastings. I didn't have the time that day to partake though. I would love to come back and sample more of their coffees.
google avatar

Yelp
I have never visited the physical location, but having ordered their coffee by mail, I had to write a review to specifically recommend the Espresso Dulzura Blend. Per their website, "Dulzura means 'sweetness' in Spanish. In this blend, look for a rich crema, velvety body, with a pinnacle of balance and a sweet finish that lasts." I LOVE this blend and have gifted it several times to friends and family (they all love it too). Highly recommend!

Yelp
Only one of the best coffee roasters in town!! The owners have always shown interest in their customers. They roast on premise. They have roasting classes. They're one of the few places one can get a full 1 pound bag of coffee nowadays! And because I like to roast at home, they sell green beans upon occasion!
google avatar

Dori D.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly people, great service! I recently enjoyed a cinnamon, vanilla coffee! Yummy!
google avatar

Liz D.

Yelp
This place is a great coffee shop inside a bread shop, which is an interesting concept. The coffee is good no matter how I've gotten it: espresso based, drip, pour over or beans to take home. The guy that is usually there (I'm a bit embarrassed I don't know his name) is very friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Excellent perk: great plant based milk options and staff who knows how to make them work in espresso drinks. My go-to drink is a double soy cortado. It's not cheap but boy it's good. My hubby always gets a pour over. We are both coffee snobs and this place does it for us. We've been dozens of times and we'll keep coming back.

Yelp
I randomly encountered Jamie and Greg today at their coffee truck in the parking lot of Global Foods. They are there every Fridays from 10am-11am serving seasonal, signature, and classic cups of coffee. I ordered the seasonal Honey Cardamom Latte. I felt the love, comfort, and the beginning of autumn in each warm sip. I heard about their dedication to using Direct or Fair Trade Coffee and other philanthropic services they do through the business. They are much more than a cup of coffee--please visit these lovely fellas for your next cup of joy.

Yelp
I want this business to succeed. In spite of all the other coffeeshops in the area, I think that La Cosecha has a chance of making it. Location: Hip downtown Maplewood, easily walking distance from any parking on the main strip. Shares a space with Harvest Bread Company, which sells tasty loaves of bread. 5/5 Atmosphere: Not great. Very cramped inside. The warm lighting helps, but there isn't much space to do much with the decor or seating. I don't think I'd be able to sit and hang out for long without a gust of cold wind hitting my face from the door. It's nice that the two businesses are able to cooperate and use the space to their advantage though. I haven't tried any of the food that Bread Company offers so I can't comment on that. 3/5 Product Both times I've been here the espresso has been very tasty in the iced lattes. They also offer a few house made syrups for the seasons which I enjoy trying and have found them to be delicious and unique. They also offer "happy hour" specials for the afternoon which I think is a great way of bringing people in. I also bought a lb of their Ethiopia Sidamo light roast...so good at a decent price much better than the coffee I've been making recently. Love to grind up and use in French press daily. 5/5. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable and I appreciated how welcoming they were. Takeaway: Great for a solid espresso drink option, and their coffee beans are worth looking into for at-home coffee options but not a coffeeshop to hang out in for a long period of time
google avatar

Yelp
We love looking for coffee roasters on trips. La Cosecha is fantastic! My pour over Ethiopian was amazing. One of the best! So much blueberry! The two kiddos split a large hot chocolate and the nice barista even put hearts on top. I would love to be here when they are roasting. We'll definitely be back!

Ashley M.

Yelp
I ordered a cappuccino, which was actually a cortado given the proportions it was. The milk foam was slightly over aerated. The espresso was under-extracted, salty and slightly bitter. One positive is that the milk was the correct temperature. Another positive was that the barista was really kind and welcoming. I would come back for the customer service but not the coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
Ridiculously smooth almond milk lattes. Delicious! This is a great place to get some very well-made coffee and do some work on your laptop. It's pretty quiet and they have free wIfi. Although there is not much in the way of a meal here, it is much more comfortable than the other coffee shops along the street. They let you work in peace with your cup of Joe. I will definitely come back here again to do laptop work in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere and drink great coffee at a great price.

Rachel A.

Yelp
This place is the best in StL. The staff is friendly and the coffee is excellent. We brew it at home and in our office. A lot of espresso is burnt, but theirs is roasted to perfection. During the summer you can catch their coffee truck at 9 Mile Garden in Affton. The space in Maplewood is shared with Great Harvest so you can grab some yummy bread at the same time!
google avatar

Haley S.

Yelp
This is a nice local coffee shop that also roasts their own beans which is always a thumbs up in my book. They have great lattes and a small amount of seating if you would like to do some work while you sip your drink. I love that they share a space with Great Harvest Bread Company which offers an affordable lunch deal that doesn't include a drink so you can grab one from La Cosecha. They also offer a happy hour during the week where you can get discounted lattes as a pick me up in the afternoon. We stopped by today during the Maplewood sweet tooth tour and enjoyed their collaboration with Sarah's Cakes that was a coffee infused cupcake. Awesome!
google avatar

Ben D.

Yelp
What an amazing place! The Honey Lavender Latte was spot on and the taste was just heavenly, thank you Jacob! What more do you need than a fresh bakery next to it. Talk to Allison, she is a fantastic guide to the fresh bread that is made out here! I ended up buying the Tzizel Rye bread and it is certainly a place to return back to as I reminisce about this place on my further coffee adventures.
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
First time visiting was 20 minutes before they closed... didnt mean to be that person but unexpected traffic happens! Despite the time, the barista served us super fast. Not sure if he just wanted to go home or if he is always that quick lol. Wasnt sure of this was an actual coffee shop cos the sign out front says great harvest and the coffee sign was in light colored letters that I couldn't read on the glass. My bf looked up the place in google maps and saw the building and that's the only reason we gave it a second look. Anyway, my bf had the regular coffee they were offering which was good but I had an iced chai mocha which was FANTASTIC. It perfectly blends chai and coffee together, two of my favorites, with chocolate... hard to get any better than that!

Andy K.

Yelp
La Cosecha is my favorite coffee bar none. We buy it weekly in bags for our grinder/brewer at home. Always best quality, free trade beans, roasted freshly, perfectly. They are passionate about coffee and doing things right every time. This is a gem!

Evan P.

Yelp
If you want a great cup of coffee, head here. Warm atmosphere, and friendly baristas!
google avatar

Holly J.

Yelp
One of the best vanilla lavender lattes with oat milk I've had! I always get a grande anywhere but after walking down the street and sipping, I was so tempted to go back and get another. The barista was very friendly recommending a few gluten free places close by. New Day bakery 2 miles away! So glad I went.
google avatar

Shana L.

Yelp
Hands down, best coffee in StL. These guys are genuine in their understanding & love for coffee. Not only is the coffee great, but they support local business & they care about their customers!
google avatar

Charlie M.

Yelp
Quaint place in a busy area. Drinks were quality made and were delicious. Truly was a crafted beverage. Also, there's a Great Harvest bakery in the back of the store and they have some tasty treats.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Very good coffee, great price, very friendly staff. They share a space with the Great Harvest, which confused me when trying to find it, but there is plenty of signage.
google avatar

Brittany G.

Yelp
What a delightful little spot! Great coffee, great service, delicious bakery in back (try the scones!). As with any place in Downtown Maplewood, parking was a challenge.
google avatar

Jonah M.

Yelp
Good coffee. Cool staff. And always a perfect playlist. Come here Fridays to work on homework and now I don't want to go anywhere else! Great location and the attached bakery always has something for my sweet tooth.

Yelp
We Maplewoodians are blessed and highly favored when it comes to coffee shops. From the Kuva brew at Strange Donuts to the absolutely genius frozen coffee ice cubes at Foundation Grounds to whatever the hell goes on at Stone Spiral...it's easy to find a good cup of coffee in the 63143. But my Excellence in Caffeination Award has to go to La Cosecha. This itty bitty, unassuming little shop churns out some of the best basics and some more fun creations when I'm feeling like Starbucks, but don't want to admit I like Starbucks. Today's creation was called "Buddy the Elf". Two shots of espresso, maple syrup and chocolate syrup. 4 stars for the reference. 5 stars for keeping me sailing through meetings well into the afternoon on a 28 degree Wednesday. I like this place because it's not snobbish. It's all good. It's all quality. Everyone's friendly. The whole place smells like cinnamon rolls. Just the way the Good Lord intended.
google avatar

Christine W.

Yelp
This adorable little coffee shop shares a space with Great Harvest Bread Company, which other reviewers pointed out (and helped me find the place!). They've made great use of the space and seem to really complement each other (and the smells that hit you walking in are amazing). Our barista was friendly and I really enjoyed my mocha. I love that the coffee beans are fair trade and that they roast everything themselves. That big metal machine behind the counter isn't just an awesome piece of decor, it's actually functional! You know, I would rather come here than Foundation Grounds (just up the road) because it's quieter here (the louder it is, the harder it is for me to think/discuss/read/write/study/etc.). If I lived in the area, this would probably be my go to spot for coffee with friends.
google avatar

Neil A.

Yelp
Fantastic boutique coffee operation inside the great Local Harvest bakery. I wish it stayed open a little later so I could grab some after work. Regardless, I still make it to downtown Maplewood on the weekends. My favorites are their "flash brew" offerings, which consist of nitrogen and the common iced coffee on tap. The nitrogen brew is iced coffee that's, obviously, nitrogen-infused to give it a unique texture and drinkability. But who wants something different if it's not great? This place definitely is. This spot does offer wifi but there are only like 3 or so table for groups of more than 2 and only like 1 or 2 spots for individuals. Granted, most people coming in get their coffee drinks or food from the bakery to go so it's not too difficult to find a spot if you want to hang out a while.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Great for coffee, but lacking in atmosphere. I went in today to do some work but I didn't last long. It was a bit drafty and they were roasting their beans fresh which made my cup of coffee exceptional but my productivity poor. However, I love that they are attached to Great Harvest Maplewood, because the biscotti I purchased to accompany my coffee was awesome! Also, the staff was so friendly. I may return when I just want coffee, but I don't think it will be a regular stop for me.
google avatar

Eamonn P.

Yelp
This place is really a fantastic find. Is it dripping with mustached bearded dudes that know too much about coffee? Yes, but seriously if you like coffee that is what you need to get it right. Believe the hype this place is awesome. Additionally they have a bread shop in the back which lends to a cool community vibe.
