"The ‘Queen’s Courtyard’ aims to serve creative bistronomic dishes with strong classical overtones. The chef, a seasoned stalwart, has no qualms about letting creativity guide his inspiration and you will taste the chef’s personal version of a Belgian classic, shrimp fritters, together with a cutlet of venison with a heroically wondrous pepper sauce. A distinctive metal structure forms the centrepiece of the elegant establishment, which also offers swish guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

Arrived at 745pm for a birthday meal as a surprise by my friend. Took a fair few minutes to get the menu and was informed it was a reduced menu due to a holiday in Belgium. Gin and tonic was forgotten but when it eventually came it was very good. The food itself was quite special, the shrimp sando was to die for. Unfortunately, each course seemed to go on forever and we were unfortunately in the position that we wanted to have dinner finished in around 90mins max which I think is fair, but we only got the main 110mins from sitting down. We asked for additional bread because the food wasn’t enough for us with the small portions, and we asked twice, but it never came. We asked for the bill at 945pm as we had to leave asap and we were not able to complete the final two courses or receive the birthday dessert my friend had organised, but they still charged full price for it which I thought wasn’t very polite. Lovely seating, great restaurant, but make sure you have about 2.5-3hrs to have dinner here to enjoy it properly.

The best place I have ever eaten in Belgium! The food is a complex delight, the chef pays attention to every detail all thought out to the smallest detail. The staff is very friendly. We will definitely come here again with our family

Never had such poor food for so much money. We had the ‘menu Bistronomique’. The first course should have been cannelloni with langoustine, but tasted like a dessert with a hint of shrimp. All flavors were drowned in a sauce of passionfruit. Second course was a spongy piece of short rib with more fat than meat, in a salty-sweet corn-sauce. Main course was supposed to be rack of suckling pig from the barbecue, bus was in fact a dry piece of pork steak in a weird peanut sauce with a piece of aubergine. No idea what the idea behind this combination was, but it made us decide to skip the rest of the menu. We had 1 non-alcoholic gin tonic, 4 glasses of wine. Had to pay € 225.

When eating in Spa you are always spoilt for choice but La Coir de la Reine always stands out as one of the great. The staff are attentive and friendly and the menu is creative and tasty. My only negative would be the lack of a vegetarian option for a main, however from the dry aging cabinet and aging meat that greets you at the entrance it is quite obvious of the menu's intentions.

Excellent restaurant, worthy of their Michelin guide mention. Traditional Belgian ingredients are presented in interesting new ways. The food was of great quality, the portion size was perfect and the price very decent. The staff was very friendly and accomodating towards people who don’t speak french.

Yelp
La Cour de la Reine is simply amazing and deserves without a doubt a Michelin star. This was one of the best restaurants were I ate in Belgium and I would love to go there again. Everything is fresh and super tasty. I would recommend everyone to go and try their discovery menu. The price is very reasonable too.
