Arrived at 745pm for a birthday meal as a surprise by my friend. Took a fair few minutes to get the menu and was informed it was a reduced menu due to a holiday in Belgium.
Gin and tonic was forgotten but when it eventually came it was very good.
The food itself was quite special, the shrimp sando was to die for.
Unfortunately, each course seemed to go on forever and we were unfortunately in the position that we wanted to have dinner finished in around 90mins max which I think is fair, but we only got the main 110mins from sitting down.
We asked for additional bread because the food wasn’t enough for us with the small portions, and we asked twice, but it never came.
We asked for the bill at 945pm as we had to leave asap and we were not able to complete the final two courses or receive the birthday dessert my friend had organised, but they still charged full price for it which I thought wasn’t very polite.
Lovely seating, great restaurant, but make sure you have about 2.5-3hrs to have dinner here to enjoy it properly.
