"After pursuing a career abroad, the chef has returned to his roots, to the family's former hunting lodge, to devote himself to cooking – his earliest passion. In this convivial place, he has perfectly mastered generous traditional cuisine, from cooking to seasoning. We love the terrine with home-made sourdough bread and gherkins from the estate in vinegar. The plus: overnight accommodation in a cabin on stilts!" - Michelin Inspector

Just stayed at this incredible place with our two small boys. Cannot recommend it enough; some of the best food we have ever tasted, homemade jam and brioche, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. They were so kind and accommodating to the boys too. Definitely planning to come back!

Stunning approach down the avenue to a beautiful château. Sadly, you don't stay in it, the restaurant and rooms are in sensitively converted barns and stables. The food is amazing. Vegetarians catered well. And the bread, different loaves served with every meal, is every bit as amazing as it looks in the photos.

Stayed for dinner and our final night before returning to London via LeShuttle, after a road trip around Champagne and Burgundy. Phenomenal experience with Sebastian, his lovely wife, and fantastic team. Had some issues in restaurants in some of the rural stays in France as I have coeliac disease, despite contacting various restaurants in advance. I could not have been catered for better by the Rémi team - multiple gluten free options across all courses on their Michelin recommended menu, and gluten free bread available. Food and wine were outstanding, perfectly reflecting the idyllic walled, kitchen garden and surrounding wooded areas. Definitely worth going out of your way for this stay, even if you’re not travelling via Calais. We’re already looking at returning during a visiting in a couple months.

We stayed here last year on our way back to Calais. It was such a convenient and comfortable stopover that we did not hesitate to do the same this year. The approach to the house is amazing. The room is spacious with a large couch and comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we again were unable to experience the restaurant as it is closed on Mondays, but breakfast hinted at what we were missing - fresh orange juice, homemade bread and preserves and the offer of eggs and other savoury goodies - perfect coffee too. Thanks Dina, we hope to see you again next year.

A lovely place to stay - our accommodation was on two floors with a huge circular bath and vaulted ceiling in the bedroom. Veg grown on site and cooked to perfection as part of an excellent dinner. Breakfast heavenly with home made jams and bread - definitely worth a visit
