Escape the Hustle of Paris Without Leaving the City at This Iconic Courtyard Eatery

"Set in a lush garden and open only during spring and summer, this seasonal restaurant from chef Jean Imbert serves a whimsical 'cuisine du soleil' menu that highlights locally sourced, brightly colored produce; half the menu is dedicated to plant-based dishes. Standouts include a ratatouille tart with parmesan sablé and a cardinal prawn tartare with fennel salad, while desserts — notably the wild strawberry Tropézienne and a tiramisu for two — are particularly praised. The quiet garden setting makes it a perfect spot for a leisurely tea, dessert, or a respite from Paris’s crowds." - Sean Flynn

As soon as you walk in, it’s as if you’re in a enchanted courtyard. Absolutely beautiful. Make sure to reserve in advance as it gets booked quick. The food was not as amazing as I’d thought it to be. The appetizers were great but the main beef dish for two wasn’t anything special. The Seabream for two is a must though. Worth every penny. The service was second to none as is what’s expected at this establishment. Would highly recommend visiting.

The place is gorgeous I love the hotel and the few awnings and always want to go there but the food is really sub par for a 5 star place. Literally nothing tastes good. The staff was attentive and lots of people were coming by to check on us but I was super cold I had to ask for a blanket three different people to finally get it after 30 minutes. It was also dead during lunch hour so not sure why. I wouldn’t go back to eat there

Decent food and beautiful place. Staff I’d very professional. Would recommend for a hot summer night if you’re from the us. However, price felt unjustified compared to other palace restaurants I’ve been to recently.

One of the best meals we had in Paris. The food was delicious the drinks were amazing. The waiting staff was in the top of their game. We had a great time in the beautiful court yard. The price was worth the food and service. We will definitely be dining here again.

It is located inside Plaza Athena Hotel, always book before you go or at least call to make sure there is availability. One of the best places to have coffee or/and tea time. The service is extremely great and deserves the hotel rating. We were for people and had booked for afternoon coffee but they were nice enough to make an exception for us to be able to buy from the tea time dessert selection and take back home with us. For the seating area, it is filled with greenery and flowers that make you relax and you don’t even get to feel the rooms surrounding you. Also when it started raining the umbrellas were open so we didn’t have to move. The dessert was really outstanding and unique. A must try.

La Cour Jardin was very disappointing. We had cancelled our reservation to eat at Les Ombres because we were supposed to eat at La Cour Jardin earlier in the week and the reservation was cancelled due to rain. This meal was so disappointing and one of the most expensive meals we had while we were in Paris. My husband and I shared the beef for 2 (La cote de boeuf) and it was the toughest piece of meat we had ever eaten. Our adult son ordered the John Dory fish and they served him another fish, La dorade au citron for 2, and told him they were out of the John Dory. The fish was good but they charged us for the meal for 2 without asking first if that was okay. My husband complained about our beef and the fact our son had ordered one fish and they brought out another without asking and then charged us for the more expensive fish. They apologized and only charged us for the John Dory but if he hadn’t said anything, we would have been charged for the more expensive fish. This place is beautiful and enchanting. The servers were excellent and very attentive and polite but the food was not worth the extra cost. I wish we would have gone to Les Ombres.

La Cour Jardin is located at the courtyard of Hôtel Plaza Athénée. Tip: check weather forecast before making a reservation. It was a rainy day for us hence we had to sit indoors and the canopy shade obstructed our view of the beautiful famed courtyard. What a pity! We truly enjoyed our lunch though 1 or 2 dishes were a tad salty for our personal likening. Recommendation: raw red prawn with salad verde, tomato bread, toasted crab croquette and red mullet with black rice.

Wonderful experience. Green bean salad was excellent. Steak was a bit too much wish it was a bit more seasoned and more flavorful.
