One of the only wineries where I ever seriously considered getting a club membership. For the past couple years I have been enjoying the benefits of being a member here and I have zero complaints or regrets on this. My friend and I split the membership, and at least 3-4 times a year we make the trip out here for most excellent wine, with excellent company, and of course, an excellent vegan picnic.
I fell for La Crema reserve chard when I was a wine seller in another life, and that love has never left me. Usually I am not even a chardonnay person. La Crema does chardonnay, pinot, and rosé perfectly, and they are one of the first places I recommend if someone asks for either of the three.
The Saralee Vineyard is beautiful, and whether you choose an indoor or outdoor reservation, you'll feel Alex T. level fancy. I like sitting on the patio facing the vineyard. It would be a good idea to call ahead and reserve a tasting before dropping in here. The tasting fee is $40 I believe, but waived for you and three friends if you are a wine club member.
Customer service here is fantastic as well, if you need to swap bottles or need anything at all. One weekend the roads flooded and they called us to let us know, and put us up at a partner tasting room in Healdsburg Square at no cost to us. Ask for Jeff, he is patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Did I mention patient? ;-)
There are snacks, charcuterie, and oysters available for purchase, but nothing very vegan friendly, which is why they offer picnic tables outside. The outdoor tasting areas are dog friendly. This isn't a weak pours or five tastings only type of place either, so a DD would be a good idea so you don't get too sloshed on slusser.
