The Best Restaurants in Rosemary Beach, Florida | Eater New Orleans

"Charming and romantic, this cafe invites diners in with warm browns and creams, and gets down to business by focusing on two of the very best things — tapas and chocolate. The seafood paella is fresh and filling, and on the tapas menu, the shrimp toast, ceviche, and “enfuego” chicken are highlights. Try the throwback chocolate fondue, espresso cream cookie sandwich, or seasonal fruit tart for dessert." - Stephanie Carter

A Three-Day Road Trip Exploring Florida’s Spanish History

"In Fort Walton Beach, stop into the Indian Temple Mound Museum, which sits near an Indigenous-built earthen mound dating to about the year 850. Inside, the collection houses ancient ceramics and exhibits on the early Spanish explorers and pirates. An hour down the road, hit Rosemary Beach’s La Crema Tapas & Chocolate for garlicky Gulf prawns, tuna ceviche, and sipping chocolate like you’d find in Madrid."

We were seated right away but only after a weird interaction upon getting there. It appeared that a host was supposed to be outside but he wasn’t when we got there. All other workers seemed to not jump into that persons spot, so it was just weird at first. The food was good other than the bread for the cheese fondue being bland. All other food was great, especially the chicken. Pricey for what we got, but good.

We got the Piquillo peppers (star of the night!), cheese fondue (very disappointing. The dip somehow didn’t taste cheesy and the bread was so dry and hard), and the steak empanadas (so flakey and the cream sauce was amazing), and the fruit tart (a good sweet but light way to end dinner). Overall so so good, just skip the cheese fondue

Reservations are not accepted so it's a get there and wait situation. You have a choice to eat outdoors or inside. Knowing this is the situation is helpful. U can grab a cocktail and walk down to the green space and look at the architecture and people watch. Once we were seated we ordered a bottle of wine, we picked a few items and enjoyed ourselves. Food was good, waitress was great. I'll return.

Fun and flavorful spot for sharing plates! Loved the tapas-style menu—everything we tried was delicious and perfect for sharing. Highlights included the Brussels sprouts, patatas bravas, Serrano-wrapped figs, crab cakes, fish tacos, and paellas. Bonus: there’s a kids’ menu and a fun chocolate fondue dessert! They don’t take reservations, but the system is smooth—you leave your name and party size, and they text you a link to track your place in line. There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. Friendly staff, and great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating along a scenic street near the beach—ideal for catching the sunset. Just be aware: parking is limited, so plan accordingly.

5/5 ⭐️’s… Perfect for the whole family or date night! The atmosphere was classy, the food came out quick and attentive service. The traditional tapas come out individually so two per person plus an appetizer was the perfect amount of food for my wife, myself & our two year old. No reservations it’s first come first serve. If you are waiting on a table you can order a drink there or at a neighboring restaurant and open carry down to the park just down the street where you can see the ocean and kids can play in the grassy pavilion.

Absolutely HAVE TO get the fried fish tacos ( extra red chili aioli) on every single trip to Rosemary! But if you're hungry try the brussel sprouts or Piquillo Peppers stuffed with honey and goat cheese. This is "BEACH LIVING" at its BEST! The decor reminds me more of a California VIBE, beautiful woodwork and classic black and white surfer pics everywhere! They are famous for their chocolate fondue but we are in love with the hot DARK chocolate molten cake add salty and sweet caramel ice cream! Go early or late for a quick seating. It's quaint and seating is limited when everybody is hungry after a day at Florida's most beautiful beach! Gracious waitstaff! Lovely experience always.

We recently had lunch at this restaurant. Overall, the food was decent, and we enjoyed our time there. The La Crema Latte was especially good—smooth, flavorful, and well-balanced. We also ordered Patatas Bravas, which tasted good but were served extremely hot—so hot that it actually burnt my tongue. Since this was an appetizer and not served in a skillet or any obvious hot dishware, we didn’t expect it to be that hot. It would have been helpful if the staff had given a quick heads-up about the temperature. A simple warning when serving extremely hot food would go a long way in improving the dining experience. Other than that, the rest of the meal was enjoyable, and the flavors were quite nice.

As a local from Destin, this a great day trip to Rosemary Beach and check out La Crema. We had ceviche and the seafood paella. Yea, oh my god it’s good! Will definitely be back for these items and to try other things! A month later we went back and had the Malaga Shrimp and the Local Catch! Yup, I will be back for more! lol
