Google
Good small Korean market. You can order catering. Grab Korean dishes. Wish they post prices more clearly, but generally prices are pretty comparable to bigger markers in Koreatown. They have great sale time to time.

This place is very small with a large variety of Korean fair. The prepared sides I have bought here are always delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Google
Lots of Koreans shop there. I don't think the owner/cashier spoke any English. I love that it's a whole different world when I go into their store. They've got the different pickled items (like kimchi), fresh and refrigerated in big batches. They have some nice boxed tea options. I wasn't exposed to many Korean businesses/foods growing up, so this is always fun going there.

Google
Great place to order kim bap, japchae, and other readymade Korean food for parties. We just order a few days ahead of time and pick up before the party; so convenient! They also have marinaded meats that you can just grill or cook in a pan.

Google
It's a good Korean market with all the essentials without having to drive all the way to Koreatown. The side dishes are really good!! I usually go there to pick up side dishes and soup for dinner.

Google
Small tightly packed Korean food oriented store with fresh produce and fresh cut and packaged meats. Very small store and every inch was packed with product. Large freezer section. Was looking for Mae Ploy Thai red curry paste to no avail. Parking is limited with all the stores in the plaza.

Google
Best Korean Market Plenty of amazing freshly made Banchan and main dishes like what mama used to make. Korean BBQs and spicy pork are our favorite to take home and cook. When we don't feel like cooking, we pickup couple of main dishes and a few banchan and we have a healthy home cooked meal for the whole family. We've done many caterings for family and church gatherings here. Highly recommend Han Kook Market.

Google
Such a cute market. Its great if you want to try out Asian treats of all sorts. Very cheap prices. Aisles are narrow, not sure how that would work out for a person with claustrophobia.

Yelp
Very cool small, family owned market. has everything you need for K bbq, or to make sushi wraps. Nice fresh veggies, and lots of marinated meats. It perfect to find banchan, and any things you want to make a nice Korean meal. Parking is good, and the staff is friendly. Dragon egg approved

Yelp
A gem! The best. Don't let their humble storefront fool you. They have a wide selection of side dishes (banchan) that are ready to eat as soon as you buy it. Here's a secret for those who haven't been here before - they sell frozen dumplings that they make in-house. So savory and scrumptious. 100% recommend. Don't forget to take a look at their rice cake and kimbap selection.

Yelp
Han Kook Market is a small Korean marking located in a corner plaza that shares the parking lot with a dentistry, spa and a hair salon. My husband and I were in the general area and decided to check out this market (in which my husband found on Yelp). We came on a Saturday afternoon, around 3:45 pm. We were greeted by the employee behind the register when we came in. Although a small market, there is actually quite a nice variety and selection of banchan in the back. After browsing, we ended up buying some vegetables, a few cans of Kona coffee for my husband and kimbap (which is found right by the register. There are also other premade food items by the register as well). The aisles are a bit busy and crowded with items and a somewhat narrow walkway. But it did surprise me that even with a small market, this market actually has a lot of items that is rival to H-mart and other larger Korean markets. Service was very friendly with the woman at the register ringing me up. Please note that there is a $10 minimum for credit card transactions if you wish to shop here. To be honest, because I don't live in this area and do not normally shop in this area either, I most likely won't be back. But would recommend it to others.

Yelp
Recently, I was lamenting that there's no H-Mart in the Glendale area--the closest one is in KTown--when my neighbor hipped me to this spot. Who needs H-Mart when you can hit up Han Kook Market in La Crescenta? I specifically went here because I wanted to make KBBQ at home for the 4th. I got heaps of brisket, spicy pork bulgogi, and beef bulgogi--plus all the banchan and lettuce wraps etc. For the price of one night on in KTown I got about 3-4 meals worth of food. They've also got lots of other items--including a fine array of frozen foods. For instance--Trader Joes always runs out of their new frozen Gimbap....but Han Kook has several different types on deck at all times. I'm probably going to start getting my meat here instead of going out for KBBQ. They've got restaurant quality meat at 1/3 the price. Into it!

Yelp
No English signage and staff seem generally indifferent to your (my questions). Narrow aisles. If you are ok navigating this on your own, as I was, it's great. Good options. Lots of stuff new to me.

Darylynn D.

Yelp
Your local Korean neighborhood market that has gold!! I mean Sriracha. They also carry fresh produce, an assortment of meats, frozen foods and pantry foods too! since it's a small market the aisles are very cramped, but definitely a fun place to shop.

Aimee T.

Yelp
I love this Korean market. They have a wide spread of banchan. It is a small but they have a wide assortment of meats, fresh vegetables, fruit and more. I was looking for a new Korean market because I hate going to hmart because the quality of their food was gone bad. I'm so glad I found this place and I will be coming back here for all my Korean groceries.

Savannah S.

Yelp
Nice selection of products, but unfortunately very rude owners. We were followed around the entire time. Here's a tip for the owner: if you want customers to buy your products- maybe don't treat your costumers like they're going to steal? We'll be taking our business elsewhere.

Joan I.

Yelp
This large Korean grocery makes for a pleasurable shopping experience with its wide assortment of fresh meats, pastries, fruits, veggies, and more. One of their best features is their large selection of Ramune dishes; their Bulgogi and Seafood Pancakes are very fresh. A festive touch was provided over the Christmas season by the attractive decorations, and the general cheerful environment is further enhanced by the cashiers' welcoming approach. The incredibly fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats are quite reasonably priced. Sincerely impressed, I want to visit this business again soon. Many thanks for the kind and great experience; it's clear that a lot of love and attention to detail goes into choosing such an amazing collection of goods.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Private parking lot on a major road close to Korean restaurants, it's small but has the essentials.

Janice B.

Yelp
Love this hole in the wall, they have the best meat selection for kbbq, banchan, fresh rice paper. They're a small store but have everything you need! Not to mention the staff a friendly!

Helen S.

Yelp
I got food poisoning one from this location and bought some food that was so salty. It's never consistent. They also sell expired products here and put it in the very front so you buy it. Always check the packaging.

Makaylah D.

Yelp
I hate to say it ... but they will treat you differently if you're not Korean or speak Korean. I've been a regular here for years and it's very obvious that they treat non Koreans differently. It's ok, I don't take it personally, it's just a projection of your own hatred and unhappiness.

Heather H.

Yelp
I had no idea there were 30,000 types of Ramen noodles or that they could even fit into the cavernous market. All sorts of things cooked, pre-cooked, frozen, raw, fresh- all kinds of meat, bags of barley in various configurations, canned coffees from around the world. Definitely fun shopping experience. I would go daily if there was an H mart near me.

Wendy K.

Yelp
Customer service there is none existing.. VERY rude. Couple months back I called asking if they had sriracha. They said yes. I asked how many the limit was. They said 2. I drove ALL the way from Hollywood to get it. When I got there, they said either 2 small or 1 large. But on the shelve, it also said limit 2 with any other details. When I pointed it out, they took the sign down and changed it..

Anh-Dao T.

Yelp
Smaller market compared to your standard Asian grocery stores, but they have a great selection of banchan and hot foods. They had even had three kinds of radish kimchee (my fave!). I opted for the dried radish since I don't usually see that one. One of the workers was frying up eggs with scallions while I was there and I had to grab some as well. Nothing like freshly cooked Asian comfort food! The best part was when I was paying and they added a big container of grapes to my bag, complimentary. Who does that anymore? So glad I came upon this little market when I was in the area.

Elliot F.

Yelp
The BEST market for Korean bbq. Whenever I plan on doing KBBQ on my own, I come here and buy the meat. Extremely tasty meat, always 10/10. Not only that, they have all kinds of funky korean chips. Always satisfied with the meat here. If you plan on doing KBBQ at home, this is the place to buy the meat from!

King J.

Yelp
Great meats and service, highly recommend this store to everyone. They have any kind of meat you want for Korean bbq

Carol R.

Yelp
The owner was extremely rude. Not sure if it is because he is prejudiced, but I chose not to spend my money at this establishment. Will NOT return.

Jhonna E.

Yelp
Impromptu kbbq night at home and this came market came up in a search nearest Glendale. Also came up was the grocery store in Little Tokyo, but my group didn't want to venture into Downtown. Han kook was easy to get to, not busy, has a parking lot. At 7p on a Saturday, we took their last cuts of pork belly and marinated bulgogi, which were both a tiny bit higher butcher priced than what we've gotten at the Galleria market in LT, but great marinade and fat content to the meat cuts. We wish there was more banchan in their grab fridge, but they still had a good amount of choices, we may have just been picky or late in the day. We had wanted the potato salad, japchae, daikon, spicy pickled cucumber , unfortunately they did not have any. We picked up some fish cakes, rice paper, and kimchi. Would definitely return for the snacks and asian cooking supplies if I didn't want to go to Ktown, LT, or Alhambra. They also had an awesome amount of fresh vegetables, all reasonably priced, and what looked like "homemade" dumplings in their freezer aisle. The store is small, so shop quickly so that you're not rubbing elbows. The store workers were friendly, smiled as they waited for us to make our choices, patient as we tried our best to describe the dipping sauce we wanted to get that's usually provided at a kbbq and handed us a condiment that was what we had described. Please go and patronize this market. Have more home cooked meals and enjoy your loved ones company. We will definitely be returning for our supplies in the near future for our next home kbbq night.

Yelp
No price tags on the items and you'll find out at the end items are overly priced . There's a reason its not tagged. And the people are scary rude and yell at you. Not just because of the price also because of the rudeness I'm not going there again . Scary

Mike K.

Yelp
Great market. Convenient. Not the largest selection but friendly. Best if the 3 markets in the area.

Sheree S.

Yelp
Very well stocked, perfect store for all your food needs. Handy neighborhood market. Good prices and selection. Fresh food!

Yelp
This market is tiny but manages to carry everything you need - and that's why I love it. I don't need to be roaming through aisles and aisles of nonsense. You're in and out very quickly and still manage to check off all the items on your list in a short visit. Items that I particularly like at Hankook: + their pre-made HOT FOODS (egg battered fish, meat patties, kimbap) are extra flavorful and well-made here + their premade banchan (side dishes) are legit + their meat / butcher section has it all + pre-marinated bulgogi is really good + their pre-battered donkatsu (in the back corner) + their kimbap (korean sushi rolls) is tasty + their ginormous bags of handmade dumplings are $20+ but so very, very worth it (there are two diff brands of handmade dumplings but an employee told me the brand in the plain plastic bag is better than the one in the ziploc bag) Love this spot and actually prefer it over the larger market (Lotte) in La Canada. They even carry a good number of diff masks and hand sanitizers. Cuz that's the world we live in now

Angelica D.

Yelp
Did anyone else ever hear about the two time hot spicy Ramen challenge on YouTube? That trend quickly hit my household, and I wasn't about to pay an absurd amount for Ramen on Amazon.com. That's when I called this place to see if they by chance carried the SamYang Ramen. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they did! I drove myself over quickly and bought three packs. My family was very happy and very spaced out once we tried it. Super spicy is super tasty, will we continue to eat it though? Once in awhile lol I don't think her stomach could handle that on a daily basis. Haha They also carry Melona bars, def a treat on a hot summers day after that spicy ramen.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Finally had the chance to stop in here and pick up some essentials after following them on Instagram for a few months. They had everything I needed. Bough some banchan, prepared hot food (which I'm eating for lunch and it's really hitting the spot!), fresh produce and snacks. They were really nice and welcoming. This little store packs a lot into a small footprint! So much easier and faster than trekking to K-Town.

Sunny E.

Yelp
Awesome service and great selection! I love shopping here, the meat is delicious and almost always marbling. The ban chan selections are delicious as well.

Dana M.

Yelp
I needed rice flour and they had it! Small store but seemed to have quite a variety of items.

Tritia H.

Yelp
In the past two decades, this little market has gone through a handful of ownership changes...and I must say the current owners are amazing! Within La Crescenta, they offer the most fair prices and always have some sort of sale going on! I've noticed that their prices are competitive with Koreatown's Markets at times! Amazing! Mr. And Mrs. Market Owners are so sweet and so helpful! I always ask for fruit recommendations and am never disappointed. Their produce is fresh and their ban-chan & meat options are delicious. 10/10!

Shawn P.

Yelp
If given a choice between this place and the H-Mart, I would definitely choose this one! There is not even a debate. Although it is smaller than H-Mart, the customer service, banchan, meat and overall selection is better than its New Kid on the Block competitor. The parking lot is quite small, but is definitely manageable. The aisle are kinda narrow and a bit claustrophobic, but you definitely can find what you need here. If you are in the Pasadena area, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Shay C.

Yelp
This is our go to Korean market. This place is cozy compared to other HK Markets but you'll find what you need. They also cook fresh Korean favorites like jap che (sp), spicy sprouts, tofu, beef w/ seaweed soup, etc... the menu changes daily and sometimes they rotate what they cook for the day. Parking can be difficult. It is small and shared with other stores in the small plaza.

PK ..

Yelp
Ban Chan is on point... Shout out to the Ahjuma that makes all those different kinds of ban chan on a daily basis. Deep Respect. and Mrs. Lee, the cashier (owner?) who helped me to my car with some stuff even though I did the Korean thing and said... its ok, its ok, in Korean over and over... and then I told her I'd give her a 5 star review on Yelp and she had a big smile. Small Market but you can get almost everything you need including marinated Korean Galbi (ribs) DELICIOUS. Bring Ktown to your home!

Melissa P.

Yelp
It's a small shop with teeny weeny aisles and it's also a little expensive...but they have a large selection and their homemade foods and marinated meats are really good! I wish their Asian vegetable selection was a little wider - I'm used to getting veggies at 99 ranch where there are tons of varieties to choose from. But you can get some basics like bok choy, Napa cabbage, green onions, yams, sprouts etc.

Aimee S.

Yelp
Seoul brand kimchie taste good it took me while to find the right ( well the taste that I like ) kimchie

Emma A.

Yelp
They sell fresh Korean sushi and other yummy prepared foods--I often stop in after going to the gym. They run out early, which is a good sign! Very friendly and clean little grocery store. Reminds me of the neighborhood stores I grew up with in San Francisco.

Sophia C.

Yelp
A rather small market, but nontheless, you can find a fair amount of items that if you were craving Korean food at home, you'd be able to pick up mosir t of the stuff here. I agree, the seasonal banchan are quite tasty here so definitely check it out if you can. I'm not sure if you can use this as your go to market for all shopping, but if you're looking for specific Korean items, chances are you will find it here. A pleasant find in this neck of the woods.

Susan U.

Yelp
Since I was first introduced to Kimchi, I became a big fan of Korean stuffs....except Korean telenovelas. I live close to this little market and I get the basic Korean necessities and hot food! I am a fan of their meat, fish and seafood pancakes, they're fresh! I am not sure if the price is reasonable because I don't have anything to compare it with. I just know I love the things I see here.

Heather O.

Yelp
Tried this market for the first time last week. I like the store, small, clean and smelled yummy. The spicy cucumbers, bok choy and bean sprouts were delicious! I got bulgogi and short ribs to cook up at home and they both were super savory. The short ribs were to die for, so tender!

Mena V.

Yelp
Such a great small store. However the ladies at the meat counter wasn't so friendly. I stood there waited for someone to greet me not only did I not a greeting I didn't even get eye contact! But you know what that's fine.. as long as what I was there for was fresh and affordable. I bought some marinated meats to cook at home and some veggies. Everything was delicious. So take it however you want but as simple as a hello could be you lost a star for it. One star away from 5. maybe next time!!

Meg S.

Yelp
It's a very small Korean meat market but it has everything that you need. I purchased two different types of meats from this market and both were equally delicious. The meat is a little bit pricey but it's worth it.

Christiana K.

Yelp
love this place! New owner, new sign, much cleaner and better tasting banchan~. I love their selection of seasonal banchan and produce. Some items are even cheaper than Mega Korean Markets in K-town. I used to shop at Mega Korean Markets in K-town once a week or two and bought stuff in bulk, but now I stop by here after work once or twice a week and I get fresh stuff every time at a fraction of the time. Plus, banchan from this place does not taste like MSG. :)

Monica K.

Yelp
My favorite korean market in the area. They have a great prepared food section which includes freshly made soups, sides and kimbap daily.

Carin B.

Yelp
After closing the HK market in Glendale , this is the place to get Asian fusion. It has everything you need, might not as big as Glendale market, but it dose the work.

Yulie K.

Yelp
I don't normally write reviews, but I feel the need to express my opinions on this one. I went in to buy some Korean snacks for my non-Korean coworkers. From the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out, the lady was giving me an attitude. I know that typical old Korean ladies are rude, but this was unbelievable. NOT something that I wanted to deal with after 9 hours of work. It looked like she had a fight with her husband, but seriously? That doesn't mean you should be a complete b!tch to your customers. When I gave her my card, she threw the pen at me to sign the receipt. WTF? Even if this is the closest to my house, I will definitely not be going there again.

Justin S.

Yelp
Well enough. The food section is remarkable. Take their soup; it is just awesome. Highly recommended for the food lovers.

Renren V.

Yelp
I love this market! Small but lots of great selections. Also, they make their hot/cold food selection fresh...so good! Plus the people are always nice & helpful. Parking is sometimes tight, they share the spaces with a nail salon, a hair salon, a massage parlor, a dry cleaner, realtor and a dentist. We live right next door so we usually walk down, problem with that though is when we get there we end up buying bags of food that we have to carry up - first world problems smh. But totally recommend cause prices are lower for Korean/Asian items then at Vons

Jin Y.

Yelp
i come here for one reason and one reason only. they have a catering service. a lot of ppl think koreans make their own kimchi at home, put them into giant pots and leave them outside in the winter so we can feast on the kimchi come spring time. HAHAHA!!! most koreans these days go to their local supermarket to buy the banchan's. If I'm hungry and need food RIGHT NOW, I come here and get me some banchan. Their kimbaps are pretty good, too. $3-$4 each and I've been known to pass these out to my starving friends and they all wonder where I got them. I see some reviewers hate this supermarket. In fact, if I came here to buy groceries, I'd hate it too. I only buy prepared banchan there and sometimes, the big boxes of fruit are better quality than the Korean markets down the street. You just have to know what each market specializes in. For example, Seoul Market is bigger and offers more options. Their products are somewhat cheaper, but they don't have freshly made banchan. I wouldn't buy the banchan that is just sitting in the fridge area. At Han Kook Market, you can see the people making the banchan. There are more people behind the banchan/butcher section than in the entire market. They know this is what they're good at.

Benjamin M.

Yelp
I needed some saam jang for a bo saam. I left with the pork butt too. Great butcher. Lots of Korean delicacies. Also a superb ramen selection. The first time I went they threw in some giant pocky for free. Yum!

Chem E.

Yelp
Kind of crowded, tiny little store. A little pricey but overall good enough if you are in need of certain items you can only find in an Asian market.
