I had such an amazing experience here. I made reservations for my fiances birthday since we both are chef Ruiz fans. We were one of the first to arrive. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were treated like family. The staff gave us complimentary shots for being fans / my fiances birthday and they made us feel at home. From the friendly service to the delicious warm and authentic food we didnt want the night to end!! We will be back and stay for the dancing this time! Such an awesome experience. Thank you for having us!

Chose this restaurant as the spot for our monthly GNO and unfortunately it was a rather upsetting experience. Our reservation happen to inconveniently be schedule after the loss of their famous chef and as such some things were affected. We were unpleasantly greeted by the host with a dinning time restriction of 1 hour and a half, followed by a rather infuriating comment of this being a common practice in NYC restaurants. Being a full NYC residents for many many years (18 years) I can personally attest that I have never experience such thing in any of the very high end restaurants I have dine at. Not to mention that at the time of our departure from the restaurant more than half of the tables were empty, hence making their rather impolite warning a very unnecessary part of the nightm. Having had a sour start to our night we proceeded to stay and enjoy our meals. In my personal opinion it is a rather overpriced Cuban restaurant due to the location (Meatpacking District) and not the actual quality of food. The food was not unpleasant however it was not merit enough for the price of their dishes nor was the quality of their drinks. Overall it is restaurant that I will not likely repeat a visit to as there are so many better options within the same budget to dine at in NYC.

Went here for the first time for a Halloween party and it was so much fun! The space is a good size and comfortable while dancing and getting drinks. The bar is pretty big as well. We got a table and the service was great! IG @traveleen_gurl

The food is great, just like being in Havana...The staff was super friendly and the live music created a warm atmosphere.

Went here with two friends on a Friday evening. I had a reservation for 7 pm but probably didn't need it. Anyway, the service was excellent (although some of the wait staff seemed anxious to remove someone at my table's plate, for some reason). All three of us were very pleased with our meals (short ribs were fantastic, as was the pan fried chicken and the fried sweet plantains). At around 8, the live music came on. The band was excellent too (although maybe the amps were just a little too loud for a regular dinner - the volume was too high for a conversation).

Went last night! Food and cocktails were excellent. The staff were super friendly, the live music was great. Best of all we met Chef Carl and he delivered some delicious corn fritters to our table. Perfect addition to the neighborhood. We’ll be back!

I really enjoyed my time here and can’t wait to come back. I had the Seafood Salad, Crab and Ham Croquettes, and Pork Belly appetizers. They were all amazingly delicious. For the main course we had the Pork Shoulder and Cuban Fried Chicken. Both were so delicious. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. A perfect date spot with live music and dancing if you are so inclined. Or you can just sit back like me and pig out on amazing Cuban cuisine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun night out.

Wonderful restaurant!! Found this gem by accident after walking by and decided to give a try. It’s like being transported to the islands to taste amazing cuisine! Diego, our waiter, was sublime along with the managers who checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything. The drinks were flavorful and make sure to stop in later in the evening with live music. You can even boogie on the dance floor. If you miss out on this wonderful restaurant you will be sorry. Pop in, relax, and enjoy the ambiance.
