Really cool experience. Bring yourself a bottle of wine or two and learn how to make all kinds of pasta and related dishes. Staff is super informative and funny. You can tell they really have a passion for this stuff even though they likely made these dishes 100000 times. Highly recommend checking them out! Only downside is we never saw the pictures they took of the experience.

Google
Did not think I would enjoy this as much as I did. I’m open to try new things at least once, and this was a unique experience with our business group to go do. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and the atmosphere was light and fun. Staff does a top notch job keeping everyone engaged. You feel like your distant Aunt or Uncle are teaching you what to do, good fun and worth the time.

Google
We had a fantastic team event at La Cucina! The staff was not only knowledgeable but also a lot of fun, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and I’m excited to try out the new cooking skills and recipes at home. Highly recommend!

Google
I booked the handmade pasta class as a birthday gift for my husband, we both loved the whole experience. This was something different, cool and fun. Out favorite pasta was the farfalle in pesto sauce. Will definitely do it again and 100% recommended.

Google
Enjoyed team building experience at La Cucina making a delicious Italian meal. The staff was fun and interactive and shared new cooking techniques. The team had fun together and worked up an appetite! The food didn’t disappoint.

Google
Great team activity. Staff/instructors were welcoming, engaging and encouraging. The facility is bright, plenty of room for all participants to play an active role. It was a fun activity that also provided some practical tips in the kitchen. And to end with delicious food is always a bonus. Three different pastas, three different sauces - how can you go wrong? Thanks for a great experience. I'd recommend it highly.

Google
This was my first time ever attending a cooking class and I would definitely come back again! It was so much fun and super informative. The staff were great and just the atmosphere overall was cozy. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cute, date night idea and love Italian food!

Google
We went to a night in Rome with La Cucina and it was such a fun date night. All of the chefs were super helpful and fun to work with. Learned so many new tips and tricks to use in the kitchen and can’t wait to add the recipes we cooked in our cook book! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
La Cucina hands down tops any and all cooking classes in Philadelphia. My boyfriend and I did the Seafood date night event. Not only did the chef explain each dish we were making and why we were using certain ingredients but she also educated us on correct pronunciations. The music played was paired perfectly with the food we were creating. We cooked, laughed, drank wine, made new friends and finally devoured the delicious food we cooked! Great fun to spice up a date night! Thank you.. until next time! Ps- the kitchen it beautiful!

Yelp
So fun!!! Highly recommend this for a date night or night out with friends. We did the Tuscany night and it was $300/couple. For the experience and food it was SO WELL WORTH IT! The staff was so fun and friendly and the space is large and comfortable for the group. They allow you to do as much or as little as you'd like! Our group was very hands on and we were in there cooking it up. There was sooo much food and plenty for second or third helpings. Not to mention it was so delicious. I highly recommend and will definitely be back. Also it's BYOB!

Yelp
We went with a party of 8 friends and family to celebrate a special birthday. The evning was spectacular - super interactive experience where each of us learned so much, AND HAD FUN! Finished of a great time by enjoying the delicious and flavorful meal we had prepared. Lots of laughs and good times. Will be back - Highly recommend.

Yelp
They is by far one of the best venues I've ever visited. the staff was kind of courteous, responsive, and really added warmth to my mothers birthday party. not only where they super accommodating to my guess they were very courteous and really made you feel welcome from the beginning to the end. we didn't feel rushed. They made sure that we understood the full process and the food was 10 out of 10. Thank you again for having us!

Yelp
I would recommend this place hands down. We went yesterday and took a sushi making class and we had a ball. In addition, we really enjoyed making (a lot) of sushi, drinking sake and wine (we bought with us). We were stuffed because they make sure of that. I also have to shout out the chefs, Agnes, Albert and Joe were FANTASTIC! You can tell they enjoy what they do and are experts in their craft. They were funny, engaging and kept us engaged, happy and full. We plan to take another cooking class and can only hope to get the same hosts. We finished with a yummy bowl of matcha vanilla ice cream. Overall an awesome time! And I want to add that Anna is super responsive to emails and a question I had which I really appreciated.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at La Cucina with Anna and the team. We had a 60 person event, which can be hard to find a partner for, but they fit us in and helped put together a great menu! Not only did people enjoy making dishes and eating together, I've since received a LOT of requests for the recipes - which La Cucina was happy to share. Highly recommend coming here for your next team event!

Jackie G.

Yelp
I have now done 2 events here. WONDERFUL. Great space, great group involvement, food was fantastic and the leaders really kept my group engaged. A++++++ WILL BE BACK!!!!

Yelp
Folks, I try not to give a lot of 5 star reviews (and routinely fail). This place is a wonderful night out for a couple. The only thing lacking, and it's inherent to the concept, is the dinner isn't going to be great, because your food is cooked by armature cooks, just like you probably are. That being said, just a great, learning, expanding experience! The staff is very involved, very informative, interactive and helpful. You're going to learn a lot and, in my case, solve a lot of what you're doing wrong. Advice, bring along a bottle of wine, perhaps show up with an adult beverage of your own choosing or two, with candor, intelligence and good will and be ready to interact with a dozen or so like minded foodies, and prepared to enjoy a wonderful evening with new friendlies.

Diane S.

Yelp
We had a work team event here and had so much fun. The staff was great and very entertaining. I am one who cooks a lot and I must say I learned a few new things. I would absolutely do this again. Considering trying one of the date nights!

Yelp
Our team did a team building event at La Cucina at the Market last night and we had such a great time! First, the event was BYOB, so we were able to meet everyone's likes - beer, wine, water - we had it all. There was ample time to to socialize before we began our cooking experience. Anna, Jesse, and Annie were the perfect team - this trio handled our loud and rambunctious group with ease. They were able to successfully coach us while allowing us to interact and learn. I consider myself a fairly good cook, but I definitely stood to learn a lot during our few hours at La Cucina, plus I got to make fresh pasta using a pasta machine for the first time AND it was delicious. I can't speak to price, but I know our experience was great - I got to know people on my team I hadn't yet met, enjoy some fabulous food, and learn about something I really like to do. I highly recommend taking a cooking class at La Cucina!

Yelp
Came here for a corporate event and had a really great time. Our group was large (20 people maybe?) But there was plenty for everyone to get involved with. I definitely learned some new tips and tricks to incorporate in my own cooking. My favorite part of our event was making hand made pasta. That was something i never thought i would experience but it was a lot of fun!

Yelp
First off let me say "My first cooking class experience here was a AMAZING!!!" We will be back... So we went to class on a Tuesday and class started at 6pm. It was great because for some reason there was plenty of parking in from of the building. Which is always a huge plus! Especially since it's right across from the convention center and We were running a little late arriving at 6:06. As soon as we walked in a staff member quickly approached us and filled us in on what we missed... Which was great because I wouldn't have wanted for the instructor to have to start over and explain again on the count of our tardiness. The inside of the place is beyond beautiful. It's one of those kitchen spaces right off of HGTV if you know what I mean. It was beautiful, welcoming and veryyyy clean.. the class this night was "Making Fresh Pasta Part 1". I mean everything was so hands on. You would move from station to station creating different pastas from scratch. Which would be used to make three pasta dishes that came out delicious by the way. I really never knew how easy it was to make pasta from scratch and how much tastier it is than pre packaged pasta. The instructor Anna showed and also gave us so much good info on her how to make the pasta. As well as how to freeze it/ recook it after its frozen... I just can't say enough about how awesome the class was. I think the pricing for the class was pretty good and well worth it. We both left feeling comfortable enough to now make fresh pasta at home We will for sure be back!! And I must add, Anna's staff is great also!! They were very helpful and soooo friendly. They made sure everyone was comfortable and was helped every step of the way. If you are looking for something to do as a couple or individually. I would for sure recommend this place. You won't regret it!!

Yelp
We came here for a work team bonding event on Wed around 6pm. The place is located on 48th and Spruce; when you see the building go to the rear (entrance is located in the back). When we arrived everything was set up and ready for us to cook! There was a wine and fruit board with some assorted wines and beers on the back table for us. There were menus with recipes (you can take this home with you) placed on our table mats. After we washed our hands, Anna and her trained staff gave us aprons to put on. We gathered around the kitchen table as she explained the different things we'd be doing to help prep the dinner. She explained everything really thoroughly and answered all our questions. I don't remember the exact name of the dishes we helped to cook but here's some: beet salad, pork tenderloins with bacon wrapped inside, ravioli filled with something I can't recall but it was tasty with a hint of cinnamon, salad, and toasted bread with goat cheese/fig jam/caramelized onions. I really liked making the pasta, Anna prepared the dough from scratch and we used those pasta machines to flatten the pasta and make the ravioli shape. We also had dessert at the end! Everything was delicious and fresh!! Overall I really enjoyed my time here with my co-workers. I got to know people that I don't normally get a chance to talk to. I think it's a really great group activity! I'd def come back for like a group bonding activity. Update: Menu -Fig, Caramelized Onions and Goat cheese crostini -Sweet potato ravioli with butter and sage -Roasted Pork Tenderloin- (favorite one) -Roasted Zucchini with pecorino -Beet and blue salad Dessert -Ricotta Mousse with berries (LOVED THIS!)

Yelp
At first glance this place sounds awesome and the owner is nice upfront. I bought this class as a Valentines Day present for my girlfriend since she's into cooking and there's not a whole lot to choose from in Philly. The first class we were signed up for was canceled the day of because of "over booking" at the shared facility this place is run out of. We were disappointed of course, but were able to reschedule into another class. However when the same cancellation happened for the "same" reason again I thought it was more than just a coincidence. Perhaps it's an attendance issue with not enough to people registered and it's not worth it to hold the class? your guess is as good as mine on this one. Anyway, I called the owner, Anna- she apologized profusely, promising a full refund and a free class when she opened her new facility....awesome right? Well, after many unreturned calls and emails I finally had to contact Amex to get my money back. I never heard back from Anna and certainly never received that free class.

Yelp
I loved the experience , the food and the great team of professional cooks. Very friendly and fun! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We were just given the opportunity to attend your cooking class and it was a day we won't soon forget. We participated in the Brunch class and it was such a great event. Cooked brunch and socialized with others attending the class. Not only was the food delicious but you and your staff did a fabulous job in giving us a lot of information about the food we were preparing as well as providing a delicious meal. We will definitely come again and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun thing to do.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! And it is a total experience. From the minute you walk into the lovely open kitchen space you are coached by Anna & her crew (hands on!) at every station to create the most delicious meal imaginable while mingling with the other guests. The reward is eating your own creation. Anna even emails the recipes to you. Fantastico!

Dawn M.

Yelp
We went for pasta making. Turns out there was a glitch w the online sign up so more people than they were expecting. They handled it perfectly - completely seamless and seems like everyone had a great time. Super fun date night (or would be good for bachelorette parties, girls night out). Feel like I actually learned a lot too and am going to purchase a pasta machine now they made it so easy. Anna, the owner, is a super sharp lady. Funny and smart and just a little sassy (in the best possible way!) and made it fun and informative. You should def sign up for a class!!!

Yelp
I came here for a work event and it was fantastic! On top of that it was BYOB which was even better. We had a nice variety Of dishes that we split into teams and made. Then did a surprise dessert round with a secret ingredient. So much fun! Afterwards we had all the recipes emailed to us. I have since recreated the pistachio pesto recipe over and over again. I highly recommend coming here for a work party. It was the right size and atmosphere to foster team building. Enjoy !!!

Yelp
We had a great time the other night at La Cucina! The class was great! My girlfriend and I learned how to do something we hadn't done before - make pasta from scratch. The space is big, open, and clean, and being able to bring a bottle of wine was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the class - everyone seemed to have a great time and the food we made was delicious. Thanks Anna!

Robert M.

Yelp
What a fun evening! Aided by a bottle of Chianti. Great venue with an intimate group of 12. We were not a group. But I think this is a great platform for a fun corporate team building event or other types of parties. Thanks Anne

Fred T.

Yelp
Through a surprise birthday party for my fiance and invited 10 of our friends, her son, and his girlfriend. Her son and his girlfriend said it was the best time they have ever had together, and they were surprised that they had so much fun with older people "son is 26". Our friends traveled in from upstate Pennsylvania and the Jersey shore. They all agreed it was well worth the trip and everyone had a blast. To quote one of my friends "best night ever". Anna is amazing! Also would like to note, one of my guests owns an Italian restaurant. He totally enjoyed himself. Thank-you La Cucina!

Kay C.

Yelp
Just had a wonderful couple's shower for my daughter and fiancé. We all made a delicious brunch with Anna and her staff. So much fun! A beautiful space and a great experience.

Yelp
I organized a corporate event at La Cucina for 40+ business guests and executives from around the world. It was a terrific success, and we received universal compliments from our clients and colleagues. Anna and her team were wonderful, informative, and very easy to work with to customize our event. Having organized 'cooking class' events a few times around the country, this venue and experience was the best. A clean, intimate and upscale yet friendly layout when we arrived. The staff was very interactive and engaging. Food was great! Sweet potato ravioli and chicken Marsala were the main events, and the pizelles reminded me of Grandma's! Thank you Anna and team for a magnificent time in Philly!

Diana L.

Yelp
Recently attended the Sunday Supper class as a Christmas present and had such a fantastic experience! Anna and her staff are extremely personable and really helped every single person feel involved and hands on with the meal preparation. Food was outstanding and it's a nice bonus that you can BYO to add to the ambiance. Highly recommend for a special date night, group outing, or to give as a gift for friends and family. We even made some nice friendships with others and plan to return together in the future!

Yelp
I took a cooking class at La Cucina and it was sub-par at best. I learned nothing, since everything that was taught was so elementary, that I already knew the techniques. Additionally, Anna Florio, the owner, was incredibly rude towards me, as I have a tendency to ask questions....something she doesn't like.

Dana B.

Yelp
What a fantastic evening! I took my parents to Anna's pasta making class as a Christmas gift, and it was a really great time. The facilities are gorgeous-- clean, new, well lit, with everything you need to cook. The class was approximately 12 people, enough to learn from one another, but not too big where you felt as though you weren't getting attention. Anna is excellent at including everyone and making sure everybody is engaged and learning. We made bow tie pasta, fettuchini and spaghetti, learning how to work the equipment and what makes perfect homemade pasta and what doesn't. At the end, we all sat down to sample our hard work with various sauces (mushroom, broccoli, cacio e pepe) and it was incredible. Anna sends recipes via email the next day so you can try it at home. My parents and I were so inspired, we're having a big family dinner on Sunday and spending the day with Anna's recipes. If you're looking for something fun and different to do, this is a special way to share an evening with friends/family... highly recommend!

Joshua F.

Yelp
Purchased the class as a gift for my parents. They loved it. Thanks!

Bob W.

Yelp
Buyer Beware. I have to agree with Adrian on this as I had a very similar experience. The class I signed up for was cancelled the day before it was held. We were notified by email and were told that we would be notified of other options "shortly". Almost a month later after hearing nothing from the owner, Anna, I followed up and was eventually given other class dates. The issue for me was that much of the rest of my party was only going to be in Philadelphia on the original date. I asked for a refund and was denied - even though the class was cancelled by her!. In fairness, their website does state a no refund policy, however, there is language that opens the door for exceptions (with a handling fee). Apparently, to get an exception you need to clear a high hurdle. After a long and unpleasant dialogue with Anna, the owner, she remained unbending - the answer was "no". If you choose to go here, just be aware that once you click send with your credit card info, you will likely be committed, regardless of what circumstances arise. I cannot comment on the class because I will never go to one. My class registration is still good for a year, but my experience was not at all "customer friendly" and I will not try again.

Yelp
My husband and I have visited La Cucina at the Market twice. We attended a "Date Night in Rome" in February of 2016 in the old space and loved that so much that we decided to book a private event for our immediate families in September of 2016 in the new space on Arch street. Anna, the owner, provided us with a perfect evening!! We had a fabulous time and couldn't think of a better way to share love and laughs in a fun environment as we blend our families together. Anna was a magnificent host, the space is beautiful and spacious and, as always, the food was AMAZING!! Highly recommend for a couples night our or a private party to build teamwork or togetherness with any type of group (family, friends, professionals etc)

Andrew H.

Yelp
Our company of all walks attended a class here. Anna was great leading up to the event and very flexible with the menu. Her new space at 12th and Arch was finished out perfectly with plenty of space for the 24 people we had. When we arrived each station was set up and ready to go. They have cheese and fruit out for guests upon arrival as well. This is not your typical "arts and crafts" style cooking class where you just putz around; Anna wants you to learn at each station and engage with each menu item. The food went great with all the wine we brought! If you have never taken a cooking class before, you are really missing out. Even if you think you know it all, just play along and have some fun, you will learn. I will be back for a more intimate experience on date night!

Glenda B.

Yelp
The cooking classes offered by Anna and her well trained staff at La Cucina at the MArket are carefully planned and executed. The recipes are printed and available immediately, the ingredients cleaned and ready to chop, dice and slice. The implements form knives to cutting boards are ample for the group. The best part is that the group gets to cook and then eat their handiwork. The wine for our lobster class was generously poured and the conviviality among the former strangers made the evening seem more like dinner at a friend's. We all learned something,, ate well and left with good intentions of sharing our newly acquired skills.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I visited La Cucina for a large corporate event. Anna and her team were incredibly helpful and informative. Despite our changing needs, Anna was able to cater to our group and put together an excellent networking opportunity for our team. Everyone raved about the event. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend La Cucina!
