La Cucina Dei Frigoriferi Milanesi

We had an absolutely fantastic dinner. Great value for money. All dishes were superb. TheRiso croccante allo zafferano con calamari, carciofi, intingolo di erbe e limone was particularly outstanding. What's more, we had a bottle of white, a glass of red and two different amari as well as an espresso - all outstanding. A great place to eat out.

The service was impeccable. The staff was a bit nervous because we speak terrible Italian, but they were still incredibly kind. We made reservations for 19:30 when they open, and we were lucky enough to pick our own table as we were the first ones there. Because we didn't speak Italian, it was a bit tricky to order. We got the wrong dish so we were a bit disappointed, but that is our fault! The starters are amazing. We got the liver pate and the Brook trout (my husband is still talking about how good this was!). First course was ok, and we got the veal for our mains. Tiramisu was good but not memorable, and my husband got the pineapple dish which was super unique. It's not something we would crave in the future but a wonderful adventure of a dessert (also very refreshing)! My absolute favourite was their house focaccia. I will be dreaming of that focaccia for a long time!

It was overall a great experience. I recommend the pork belly, it was great and surprising with the umeboshi that counterbalances the greasiness. Although i didn’t like the tiramisu, which was disappointing in my opinion. It didn’t taste like one…

You know how you travel to a new place and you wish you knew a local that could tell you where to go for a great dinner? This is the place that local would recommend. Likely the most tender octopus I have ever had. Highly recommended.

Best meal in Milan for our short stay. Favorite meal in Italy for half a month. Wir both ordered tasting menu and wine. Everything is amazing, worth 100 stars, they cook with love for food :) creative, delicious, mind-blowing food , must-try place in Milan :)

Really nice and quiet restaurant, but fully packed. Impeccable service and the food was good too, would recommend the tasting platter.

Antipasti of cotechino in cappuccino of potatoes cream and Milanese typical meatballs were very nice, saffron risotto with marrow may have been better, maybe serving the rice crispy is not the best fit from this dish. Wine was excellent and they have a broad selection of bottles.

Great food at affordable prices. Don't hesitate a second! Took spaghettis, ossobuco and tiramisu. Everything was just awesome. Thank you Chef!
