La Cucina - Oenos-Crudo

What a disappointment… another typical tourist trap unfortunately, seems like a place that relies on one-time customers mostly. The dishes we had were fairly good and tasty but honestly nothing special and just stupidly and unnecessarily overpriced… we left the place feeling hungry having paid more than 60€ per person without wine! The servers were very friendly and polite and the atmosphere and position of the shop is excellent (and very romantic too) so it is such a shame that the management has “lost the plot” in such a way. Perhaps they have taken their patrons for granted, and are simply ”faking” high-level cuisine to justify the high prices? There are honestly much better establishments in Corfu town with superior food, quality but especially VALUE FOR MONEY so I would not recommend this place

A wonderful restaurant located in the old town. The food is delicious. The owner is very nice to deal with each customer individually. The service is fast. The only negative is that the maximum sitting time is 2 hours. We were unhappy when we were warned harshly by the waitress because we did not know in advance, but the owner made us happy with a grappa treat.

La Cucina in Corfu has a lovely setting right in a beautiful street, making it a charming spot to dine. The service is fantastic, truly top-notch! While the food quality doesn’t quite match the prices, it’s still enjoyable and worth a visit for the ambiance alone. Not exactly a hidden gem, but a nice experience overall if you’re in the area.

This restaurant is an absolute must whenever I come to Corfu. The service is impeccable with an extreme eye for detail, the staff is always attentive and friendly. The menu has a delightful range of tastes for any culinary enthusiast looking for an unforgettable meal (highly recommend the truffle pizza). Another great feature of this restaurant is enjoying the views of historic Corfu streets with a close proximity to the old town square and fortress. The owner George is always present and always eager to greet the guests personally, ensuring a night of dining that will leave an impression you're sure not to forget.

We strongly do not recommend this restaurant. Our booking was at 7.30pm. It was reserved via our hotel, Angsana, earlier in the day. We arrived early at 7.00pm. We asked if it was possible to start our diner early. They guided us to the back seating area, mentioning that this is safer for children. The entire road was pedestrian. As time goes on, we realized that they were filling all the table at the front of the restaurant. They clearly didn't want brown people mixing with other colors/or sitting at the forefront of the restaurant. They just didn't want brown people representing their restaurant. When we asked two different servers, they said that it was due to the time of our booking. Absolutely non-sense. We arrived at 7.00pm. Many tables were still empty when we left at 8.30pm (see pictures. We were the table with the drink on, while the rest of the tables were empty). If we were also told that those who reserved on their site got preferences. They also mentioned that some of the booking were reserved for 10.00pm (as if anyone will stay 3h in this restaurant). Some tables did not have any "reserve" mention. If you believe in equality and diversity, and that service should never alter depending on the color of your skin, this establishment is certainly not for you ! We have raised this with the management of Angsana, so that they do not recommend la Cusina to any of their clientèle.. Service is poor. Came only to put the food. Not checked if water needed to be refilled. The margarita pizza came cold while the other pizza came hot. Obviously, 0 for the atmosphere if you are far away from other people.. Obviously, 0 for the service if a 7.00pm booking is put in a corner when a 10.00pm booking is in the middle is still an empty table. Food was okay. Nothing that special. On the picture, we are the table with a pink drink. Also... see the way they comment on some of the bad reviews put some laughing emoji. Absolute shocking. We should have read all the comments before even booking !

George the owner and all the staff are excellent. Great burrata salad and pizza with a fine bottle of Gaya wine. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and people watching.

Tasty food. Best price and fish food I found around corfu old town. I eat octopus 2 days in a row, also tried some bear and wife eat Greek salads. You need to try it. Staff is friendly, food prepared fast.

Quality food from start to finish. Buratta & tomato starter, ravioli and squid ink pasta for mains, lime brulee for dessert. Staff were polite and friendly.
