Google
Server Braydin Excellent and Professional, she took care of us, based on MERIT she got a Great Tip! The Calamari Appetizer best have had in long time. The Main Dishes: Tuscan Salmon and Veal Sorrentino Excellent. The Deserts: Cannoli and Panna Cotta, again, Excellent. After tax: $34 each person. Well worth the price!

Google
Food was good, but tbh it’s just a step above Olive Garden. And don’t get me wrong, I like Olive Garden from time to time - so don’t take that as an insult. Waitress was very nice and we were one of the first ones in at opening.

Google
The staff is Amazing and so sweet right up to the manager. Very accommodating. We were celebrating my Mom's birthday and went for dinner. They were so sweet and let us have dinner even though we were early. So SWEET and NICE. I wish all restaurants were as Wonderful as they are.

Google
The fettuccine alfredo with the blackened chicken is delicious! The best I’ve ever had! Perfectly seasoned and fresh! The service is exceptional. Marjorie was my server and she is very sweet and kind. She went above and beyond. I had such a wonderful experience.

Google
Best Italian food in Reno in my opinion. It feels that the service is always lacking and they are short staffed but if you can deal with that - the food more than makes up for it. We had a party of 8 and it took awhile to have our drinks refilled and order taken but once the food came - it was delicious!

Google
Delicious and very accommodating with my food intolerance issues. The kitchen came out to check and make sure they got my order correct. Its hard to eat Italian when you cant have wheat, corn and tomato, but they made it happen.

Google
Nice place for a business lunch. Service is great and the food is above average considering the prices. I do wish they would have pulled off a better remodel as they still have an atmosphere similar to the Godfather's Pizza that operated there for 20+ years.

Google
We had the Porcini and Truffle Ravioli and have no idea what was in the sauce but I could have drank a vat of it. Highly recommend!

Yelp
La Cucina, which fittingly means "The Kitchen" in Italian, sits on the corner of Lakeside Drive and Moana, right next to the Chevron station in the old Godfather's Pizza building. My wife and I found ourselves in the area on a Wednesday evening and decided to give it a try. It was our first visit. As we approached the hostess stand, we were greeted with a warm hello and asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, she looked a bit concerned and started scanning her reservation book. We quickly offered to sit at the bar instead, which seemed to ease the moment--she smiled and led us right over. The bar area had a relaxed vibe with a few flat screens showing live sports. One of the first things that caught my eye was how reasonably priced the wine list was. We ended up choosing a bottle of Italian Sangiovese for just $35 while we debated between two appetizers. When we asked the bartender which of the two she recommended, she surprised us by saying, "neither!" My wife and I laughed and asked what she would suggest, if any? She pointed us toward a seared provolone appetizer--and wow, it did not disappoint. Perfectly fried, drizzled with a flavorful sauce, and topped with pine nuts, it was a standout dish. I'll definitely be ordering it again on our next visit. For my entrée, I went with the Rustica pizza, which lives up to its name--hearty and full of flavor. The crust was spot on, and the toppings worked beautifully together with just enough spice to blend well with the wine. All in all, La Cucina delivered a great first impression with delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd absolutely recommend it and look forward to going back.

Yelp
The food was not good. The calamari had so much Parmesan that you could not taste anything but cheese. The steak was overdone and bland. The primavera pasta tasted like lemon and nothing else. The table bread was plain with garlic baked on top. The restaurant was loud despite not being full. We will not be returning.

Yelp
Everything was homemade, I had the Alfredo with blackened chicken and it was very good, the sauce was rich and creamy and it was homemade the customer service was very good and patient and respectful. The restaurant had a very relaxing atmosphere which makes it easy to sit a relax which is a plus. I'll be back

Yelp
Yes again every year it's my birthday I come here every year and the fettuccine Alfredo is great every time! My sister came here for the first time. She thought the BBJs bbq had good Alfredo this is the best in town. Service was great I showed up a little late, she didn't mind came out with my drink, and gave us more bread. She got our order in as soon as I got there very attentive loved her. Asked us for dessert and dressed it in a candle how lovely. Perfect lunch in at my favorite restaurant!

Yelp
Food was yummy, service was good. Cute little place. I ordered calamari steak and the hubby got a creamy pasta dish, called Rigatoni Isabella. The marinara sauce on my spaghetti... was very good. Not too heavy and very homemade tasting

Yelp
Great lunch here today with friend. They opened at 11, reservations at 1130 so got right in. Not busy yet so chose our seat. We've been here several times in the past and enjoy the menu variety. Ordered half sandwich and salad combo which is always the perfect amount. Today I ordered the Italian BLT which came on sourdough and came with an abundance of bacon, lettuce, tomato with melted fontina cheese and a pesto spread. Very good! Cesar salad tossed in dressing with croutons finished off the meal. We enjoyed a chilled Italian Pinot Grigio that was nice and not sweet. The decor here is very nice and service was good today. Gluten free pasta is available on their menu here also. Prices reasonable, won't break the bank.

Yelp
Got to try this cute italian restaurant here in Reno! Today I tried the caramel latte, primavera pasta and mushroom ravioli. The caramel latte was on the sweeter side which i enjoyed. The primavera pasta has a fresh lemon flavor, although i prefer my pasta a bit more al dente, I enjoyed all the fresh veggies such as green beans and mushrooms as well as the sun dried tomatoes! The mushroom ravioli has a strong mushroom flavor with a subtle cream sauce so if you like mushroom I would definitely recommend this one! Our server was very friendly and would frequently check up on us which I appreciated. Overall a cute little italian brunch spot to try (:

Yelp
Celebrating my wife's birthday, we wanted a nice dining atmosphere with little crowd noise. I set a reservation for 3:45 to beat even the early dinner crowd. We arrived 25 minutes early and it was perfect. The dining tables are a unique hammered metal texture that provides a very homey feeling. We began with an antipasto plate, and fried calamari fingers with marinara sauce. I added an espresso with the appetizers as I had missed my nap. The chef absolutely nailed the calamari! So tender and tasty. For the entree I ordered the Tuscan grilled salmon and my wife selected Parmesan crusted Calamari Steak. Both entrees were accompanied with a generous helping of Angel Hair Pasta with sauce and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, For desert we had Vanilla bean and Sicilian Pistachio Gelatos. Simply a lovely meal with an extremely attentive staff. Definitely on our list for a return visit!

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor patio area helped make our experience even more exceptional. It was a hot weekday yet the slight breeze combined with the shade of the garden made it quite comfortable. Service was slow to start but quickly got on track. The lunch menu had a huge variety of vegetarian and meat based choices. Both the grilled eggplant sandwich and veal piccata are worth ordering again. An absolutely terrific find.

Yelp
First time trying this place. We didn't have a reservation and it was pretty busy so we chose to sit at the bar. We were immediately greeted with water and some warm bread to start. The bread was perfectly warm and soft with crunchy garlic on top. Our waitress suggested the sautéed provolone. It did not disappoint! So flavorful with the sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts, highly recommend! I got the veal piccata, it came with angel hair pasta and green beans. Very flavorful and hit the spot!

Yelp
Orders: PORCINI & TRUFFLE RAVIOLI | VEGETABLE LASAGNA + MEATBALLS | DIRTY WOOKIE A Reno staple for Italian! I love this restaurant so much along with their other spot Johnny's. Great food, service & ambiance. Thank you for letting me add peas to my ravioli - I've been in a pea-forward mood lately

Yelp
Had dinner on the patio, atmosphere, service, and food was wonderful. Will be back very soon. Prices were very reasonable!!!

Yelp
4 stars only because my food was great otherwise I would rate the overall experience a 3 star. Not sure if people were still tired from the holidays and didn't want to be at work but not impressed with the customer service and lack of attention during my dining experienced. I had more fun talking about football at the bar with a couple enjoying Sunday night football with me, than my invisible server. Very weird experience to have no one at the bar making drinks or engaging in conversation with you and I sat there 1-1.5 hours. Someone only spoke to me and checked in me when they brought my food and when I ordered wine in the beginning. I am not sure if I should have sat at a table to receive more attn but they had a few TVs at the bar to watch sports which was perfect. Positives: you can add grilled or blackened chicken to any pasta dish or shrimp or salmon. When they bring your food out someone will offer fresh grated Parmesan or black pepper. Porcini truffle mushroom pasta has a creaminess and sweetness to the sauce. Pasta was cooked perfectly and chicken seasoned to perfect w the Cajun spices. Not pictured- meatball sub/sandwich, very good just needs a side of marinara and comes with a side salad.

Yelp
Service was fast and attentive. We haven't been here in awhile and decided to stop in. We chose a special and a Cashell Salad, soooo good. The blackened salmon was added as a protein and was cooked perfectly. Ambience was fine, we were bunched with those that were already seated I think to just keep folks in the same area. We would go again and meals are reasonably priced.

Yelp
Hands down, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Reno and Sparks. The quality and value can vary depending on who's in the kitchen. But 98% of the time, the food is amazing. Full disclosure. I'm not a red sauce kind of person in general, and then for dietary reasons, I can't have tomatoes anymore. I've tried a lot of pesto at a lot of places, and I gotta say that this is one of the best. I get the Chicken Menzel. This time, we had lunch (and a little light on the pesto this time). The menu offers rigatoni with marinara as a side but I substitute angel hair pasta with pesto for an uncharge. Dinner comes with the best, fresh green beans cooked with garlic. We have had out of town guests try pretty much everything off the menu, but a popular one is the lasagna. Their food is fresh and it matters. This time my friend got the Pasta Primavera. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish on the menu. I find it interesting that, after all these years, there are still people who have never eaten here, and if you're one of them, I highly recommend you rectify that quickly. Go there for dinner first and make sure you get that bread because it's made in house with garlic, and it's astounding.

Yelp
Met hubby after work, we sat at the bar. We love the Peroni on draft with a lemon ( a trick we learned in Italy). We enjoy sitting at the bar, watching sports, the bartender making fancy drinks, and chatting with others sitting near us. We shared the antipasto salad, a favorite of ours. We both ordered new to us items. Me, a veggie pasta and hubby a rigatoni item that was as close to lasagna as he could find. Both were lackluster. Also, ordered the famous garlic bread and not thrilled either. Oh well, it won't deter us. I love the calamari steak, so I'll stick with that
google avatar

Tina P.

Yelp
We started with the calamari stark. Super tender, lemony, and lightly pan fried. It was Very delicious! And I'm a calamari aficionado. I had the chicken Parmesan, which was tender and super yummy. With a side of angel hair, pasta with fresh garlic slices in olive oil. Another had the spaghetti with bolognese sauce. And also the. Degni salad was light and refreshing with a light balsamic vinegarette, with strawberries and a nice light cheese on it. It's a must try restaurant. Very quaint and very homey like... with an Italian flare. Kim was our server. Very attentive very friendly. She's worked here for many years and knows her menu.

Yelp
My fiancé and I decided to come here for a nice date night. It wasn't that. The restaurant is lit up like a library, with uncomfortable seating and the vibe to match. We started with the Antipasto platter, the tomatoes were genuinely offensive. They were hard in the middle, and one piece was just the top with the STEM STILL FULLY VISIBLE. The fact that was served it to us, made me question what else they would serve. Someone cut this tomato and decided "some piece of garbage will just eat it". The server didn't say sorry, and I still paid $14 for it after showing them. We are in summer. It's not winter and I couldnt give an excuse for bad tomatoes and you could at least take it off my bill after serving the most disrespectful dish I've had all year. Subway wouldn't have served those tomatoes The rest of the meal felt like we were being punished for complaining about the appetizer. My water was filled 1 time and sat empty for 90% of my meal. I understand why there were less than 10 people eating there and I think it's not worth giving a 2nd chance. There was more employees than customers but they can't refill your water and will serve inedible food.
google avatar

Mariana M.

Yelp
It could've been better! No excuses, we came in around 3pm, slow, very few customers. I showed a photo to the waiter Hanz of the pizza I wanted, Margherita, very traditional, with FRESH MOZZARELLA. Waiter looks at the photo, agress with me that fresh mozzarella is way better and that he can definitely get it done just as the photo from their Yelp page shows. Later, the food comes in, clearly my pizza was made with regular mozzarella, he asks if I want to keep bc his chef prepared like that. The reason why I was choosing fresh mozzarella over regular mozzarella is bc it is less inflammatory. The reason I'm upset with the service was because I would like to be notifies that he cannot deliver what I ordered, instead of trying to push on me something I did not want. Later, when asked for to go boxes for my cheese platter and bruschetta, he simply drops 1 box, as if we are going to just throw everything in and go home with soggy mixed food Sadly, I don't appreciate the unprofessional treatment. I could write more, but I'm going to leave at this. Not coming back. People should judge customers by the cover. Nonetheless, don't underestimated people's knowledge and especially, don't assume people doeant know how to differentiate food that was ordered and food that was delivered. The lack of enthusiasm to come back to our table, to offer more than 1 box, when we clearly have 3 plates with food we want to take. And to assume I'm going to simply throw everything inside the same box and take home to eat it like that, that is just UNPROFESSIONAL. Tell me this: if I was ordering this plate to go, would you throw everything in 1 box, or would you separate so your bread, for one, would get all soggy? And now, I even tried to try some dessert, and guess WHO'S dessert waiter Hanz, surprisingly forgot to bring? This is bad treating at its best. Makes me wonder, is he being racist because of my skin tone? My white, blue eye friend gets everything he orders and asks, and somehow, im being negletected by this waiter. And to complete the bad service, we walked away carrying our 3 boxes on our hands bc the waiter couldn't even offer a bag?!?!?! Never felt so mistreated. Had to write this review because this is unacceptable. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. What a Joke

Yelp
Found ourselves with time to kill in Reno. We searched for spots to eat and stumbled upon La Cucina. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the patio was lovely on a summer afternoon. There were many enjoying a cold glass of white wine and it looked fantastic. My husband and I shared a pizza and pasta. The pizza was good. The crust was perfectly crispy and delicious! The pasta was okay. Big portion but not quite as flavorful as we'd hope. Overall, a very solid meal though!
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Love the delicious garlic bread, house salad, and my favorite creamy vegetarian lasagna, generous portions. Yummy tiramisu! My daughter likes their mac & cheese.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
When ever you want to enjoy a nice Italian meal in a cozy atmosphere with a bunch of other people, but not loud, you should visit LA Cucina. I love the spicy angel dish so much that when I want pasta, but brain goes directly to this place. Order it with 2 meatballs, you wont be disappointed. They give you bread with oil and vinegar to start you out. Then your meal. I gave them carpal tunnel with the cheese grater, but the cheese is so good. We then ordered dessert. The must try bread pudding was so good. It had this bourbon sauce on it. I could drink the sauce alone. I love the way the staff all works together here. The bar tender was the one who seated us and took our order. Teamwork, we love that.

Yelp
Came here for a luncheon last week. While the inside is cozy, the outside patio is magical. Lots of goodness on the menu. Ordered the rigatoni pasta with the grilled chicken and it was wonderful. Chicken was perfectly cooked, sauce was just as imagined. The portion is plentiful and leaves plenty to be saved for leftovers!
google avatar

Zuly R.

Yelp
Every time I am in the mood for spaghetti I think LA CUCINA! I absolutely love their spaghetti dish with a side of Raspberry Italian soda. Service is nice and I love their outside patio sitting area.
google avatar

Nichole R.

Yelp
For our anniversary we decided to take the family to La Cucina on a Tuesday night. It was late, around 8 pm, and when we walked in I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get a seat without reservations, but they made it work. We had an excellent experience, from the soft lighting to our waitress who wad was very sweet and kept the bread plate full for our hungry kids. I had the chicken parmigiana and loved it! Especially the green beans! And would it be a celebration without dessert? The gelato was delicious, perfect texture and flavor. Thanks for making our evening special.

Yelp
Ok Y'all, THIS RESTAURANT IS Reno's Hidden Gem 100% A friend mentioned it and I've eaten there several times now and the food is authentic and really really good! The presentation of the dishes and the portions are five star and check this out.. they have make their own gelato in house and I will warn you now.. it's deliciously addictive. The entire staff is most efficient and very friendly and the restaurant is one of the cleanest I've ever seen.!
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Owned by the same people as Johnnys in west reno, La cucina is comfort Italian food. We loved the giant chicken parmigiana dish with a slab of chicken the size of your face and it was perfectly cooked. The string beans were super tasty and springy too. I do think for a more generous pasta to chicken ratio there should have been a couple spoonfuls more of pasta (plus pasta is cheap). My mushroom ravioli dish was so scrumptious and rich, the sauce was flavorful and I used all the bread to wipe my plate clean. Some of the raviolis could have used a bit more filling, when I tried to cut some in half one half inevitably ended up with more pasta than porcini. Wish the bread was more interesting, loved that it came with olive oil and balsamic. The gelato is a must for an after dinner bite! Very silky and smooth. Cannoli was spot on yum! I enjoyed my dinner at La cucina I think when you're craving Italian and want something casual but nice that feels very homey this is the spot! Just a few additional touches would definitely have made it a 5!
google avatar

Heidi C.

Yelp
We came here craving quality pasta and got what we came for! Amazing service and food! They fit us in for a reservation even on a busy Saturday evening. Appreciated our waiter and his suggestions. Small location but the courtyard looked so cute! Want to try to courtyard on future visits.

Yelp
Cute little local spot. Came here with a friend on a Friday night for a cocktail and appetizer around 4pm and it was quiet when I arrived but packed when I left. The menu is filled with old world Italian food at very reasonable prices. I just enjoyed a glass of wine and a charcuterie board (which was pretty average), but all the real food coming out of the kitchen looked great. Cute little spot for a home cooked kind of meal.
google avatar

Gigi C.

Yelp
Maybe I came on a good night, but I got there after the dinner rush and it was starting to quiet down. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who gave me a choice of whether to sit at a small table or at a bar height table right next to a huge window. Naturally I opted for the table by the window. It didn't take long for the really nice server to greet me. And asked me what I wanted to drink. They have Petite Syrah, one of the few places that carry my favorite wine. The complimentary garlic crusted bread was nice and warm, came with balsamic vinegar and oil to dip with. I got their special which was the salmon piccata and portobello mushroom soup. The soup was delicious! Not quite cream of mushroom but better. The salmon piccata was good. The server informed me along with other customers who ordered the special that the salmon will be cooked medium. It's great that they notify you so at least you are given the chance to request it to be cooked how you like it. The salmon was served over a bed of spinach and the sauce I was not really feeling at all because it initially had a bitter undertone to it but it was still a good dish. For dessert, I ordered Tiramisu and the portion was on the larger side. It was really delicious and a little too rich and on the sweeter side. I ended up eating maybe a quarter of it and taking the rest home. All in all, I enjoyed my meal. Will be back again soon.

Susan C.

Yelp
I ordered the Pasta Primavera. Delicious! Lots of veggies that weren't overcooked and neither was the pasta. The sauce had a little lemon for some zest. I'll definitely go back.
google avatar

Cheryl V.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere, helpful, friendly (and honest staff) a STRONG Paloma (thank you), great bread, and delicious food. A home run!
google avatar

Claire A.

Yelp
This place is great! Went here to celebrate a birthday and they were wonderful. I tasted all of the pasta dishes everyone ordered and each one was delicious. I don't usually eat all leftovers but I ate all the leftovers! Great portion sizes. I can't wait to come back here!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! Finally another worth restaurant establishment in Reno that satisfied my taste buds! The manager Marjorie was a great Host and Server! She understood the meaning of Excellent customer service here in Reno. Came here for my very own Bday Brunch and was satisfied with the appetizer, by the way, the calamari steak appetizer was devoured so no picture. The ambience was a chill yet had a signature Reno environment. A little bit of Italian look would be nice but above all, everything was almost perfect down to the cannolis. Still have it a 5 But although I mentioned it was my Bday, wish something was giving special or a bday discount of some sort. But still, I will be returning again! Thank you again Marjorie!
google avatar

Derek A.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to check out La Cucina after passing by it about a billion times (ok, maybe only half a billion). I made a reservation after checking out their menu on the website and was excited to try it. First off, the ambiance is a little more open than I was expecting based on the pictures on the web, but that was ok. It was busy and perhaps a little understaffed at the time as it took a bit to get service after being seated, yet there was a tag team of servers thereafter. I don't want to downgrade the rating for this purpose because things happen, and this was our first visit. The wine/champagne pours were heavy...who am I to complain?! Prices all around were tolerable, which is nice to see these days! The bread was soft, nicely seasoned along with the balsamic and oil. House salad was plentiful and tasty as well. My wife had the meatballs with rigatoni, and I had the Chicken Menzel which was very tasty! Like buttah! OK, I like butter, and the mix with the capers and lemon was excellent! We were too full to try any dessert, yet I'm sure we will be back for more. Cheers!

Yelp
An excellent choice if you are looking for a cute local spot for fantastic Italian food! We came as a large group and our waiter was outstanding in taking care of us! They have a very extensive bar and the menu is very friendly to all food sensitivities and needs. I was really impressed with the gluten-free options. I had the Fresh Pasta Primavera Perugia and the spinach lemon fresh pasta was soooooooooo good and it was full of vegetable I like this take on a primavera! Everyone was super happy with their meal and it didn't break the bank! Plenty of parking. Check them out for a fun night out!

Yelp
La Cucina, an original Reno establishment that serves comfort Italian food and located at the center of the city. More importantly, it's associated with the one and only Johnny's, which is another must as a Reno local! It's a cozy establishment, actually, the building used to be Godfather's Pizza back in the day (fun fact). We opted for dinner on Saturday night, and it was delicious! Based on a recommendation from a co-worker (who is Italian) and said, it's the most authentic by her standards, we decided to give it a go! I opted for the Spicy Angel Pasta, and my husband tried the Baked Rigatoni. Both was amazing! Great flavors, and the best sauces, we definitely will be back AGAIN! The service was quite slow, but they were warm and welcoming. They certainly were balancing between serving outdoor seated guests and the few who were inside, but regardless, they greeted us with a smile. I can't wait to try the other dishes, but the Spicy Angel was certainly DELICIOUS.

Armin S.

Yelp
Amazing food. Deep flavor and very tasty The service was also great. Sat at the bar, the only spot available. And the Ambiance was easy, comfortable and non pretentious

Yelp
We came here for my friend's birthday dinner and had a nice time! This was our first time dining here but we've been to their other restaurant (Johnny's) before which we love. There is plenty of parking outside. The dining room is one large open room that is well-decorated and has a casual/slightly upscale vibe. We were seated promptly without a reservation on a weeknight. Service was good, our waiter was attentive to our needs but didn't seem to be all that personable. We got a bottle of Zinfandel to share and really liked it. We split the calamari steak strips as an appetizer which were interesting, much more squid than breading. It was quite a different ratio than your typical calamari, I think we prefer the more crispy type. They have an extensive menu with lots of great options, all at very affordable prices. I went with the Fettucini Alfredo with shrimp! My husband got the Chicken Menzel and our friend got Shrimp Scampi. Everyone was pleased with their meals! Good portion sizes, nice flavor, plenty of sauce on the pastas. We told them it was my friend's birthday and they didn't do anything special which was a little disappointing. We still ordered some gelato and the Verona Brownie (came with a scoop of gelato and 2 brownies)! The brownies were dense and very fudgey, the gelato was quite tasty. Overall we had a solid experience dining here for our first time! I wouldn't say anything really exceeded expectations, so I'm not giving it five stars. However, we were still pleased with everything and will definitely come back again in the future.

Yelp
We were headed to a different restaurant, but this place was on the corner and we made a spur of the moment decision to eat Italian. We are so happy we did! It was mid-afternoon and we missed lunch so we were hungry enough for dinner-ish. We saw the seared provolone on the appetizer list, and never heard of it, so we jumped at the chance to try it. Great decision! It was light, flavorful, and delicious. I was intrigued by the pasta primavera de Perugia, with spinach fettuccine and lemon, artichokes, shallots, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and a light butter and white wine sauce over and ordered that, and it was a delight! We also had an eggplant panini that got high marks for flavor, and a chicken Marsala that was judged light and delicious. The waiter--pleasant and helpfulbrought us strawberry Italian cream sodas and a vanilla one that were perfect refreshers for a hot day, and we could have ordered more of them if we weren't stuffed from the dinner. This is going to go on our list as a top choice to eat in Reno. Prices were quite reasonable, portions weren't overwhelming, ambience was cozy. Try them!

Nate F.

Yelp
Their calamari steak is amazing. Everything else you can make better at home. Good value for what you pay for.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
This was the first time eating here but I'd been wanting to go for a while. I had the Chicken Menzel, which was very tender and juicy. The mushrooms and capers brought a bit of rich flavor and a little saltiness to the plate, and the white wine sauce brought the dish together. I had the Tiramisu for dessert. It was one of the best I've had. The espresso/brandy that the lady fingers were soaked in was perfectly balanced with the mascarpone. Our server was attentive and patient with our little group since none of us had been there before. The restaurant is a little cramped, but not at an uncomfortable level. I accidentally elbowed someone at the next table. I will definitely be back to try another pasta dish or maybe a pizza.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant. I've been here on a few occasions for lunch and for dinner and every time it's a great experience. For dinner, I recommend calling ahead for a reservation. It doesn't seem necessary for lunch. There are a great variety of options, from salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and pasta dishes. For lunch, I really like the Degni salad with chicken. The ingredients are fresh and the salad is refreshing on a summer day. For dinner, I've really enjoyed the Rigatoni Isabella and the Baked Rigatoni. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. The dining area can get a little noisy because of the small space. The patio is also a great atmosphere during warm months! It has privacy from the parking lot because of the trees and it's quieter than inside.

Yelp
I called on a Friday night to see the wait. It was an hour 15 wait so I got on the list as we went shopping while waiting. Showed up on time and had our table reserved for us. The waiter was nice and accommodating. My young son loved the bread, it was pretty good. He got a cheese pizza off the kids menu. Was loaded with cheese, which he loved. I got the rigatoni and it was pretty yummy but I had to add salt to mine. Was just kinda plain with the cream taste overpowering. I thought the prosciutto would add some seasoning, it didn't really. The pasta was fresh and yummy. My mom got the shrimp scampi. The flavor on pasta was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp may have been a scotch bit overcooked. Overall I will definitely be coming back to try more on the menu. Better than OG.

Yelp
The place was busy, but I was seated very quickly. Feels formal and casual at the same time, lovely!. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. All of them were helping each other to make the best experience for the guests. Their bread is so good! And the salad was delicious, perfect temperature. The ravioli was ( see photo) was to die for ! Hot, scrumptious! Dessert! OMG !! Heaven ! I came here solo tonight after work, definitely going to bring my friends and fnext time to experience this little bit a paradise

Yelp
Service was attentive. The bread seemed stale, and the fettuccine Alfredo Alfredo my wife had was dry and sticky. She ordered a blackened chicken breast protein, which was cut up in small pieces and also dry. My chicken Parmesan was tasty but also over cooked. My green beans were the best of dinner. We wanted to try here; we did and won't return.

Yelp
Dinner with friends. The night started off on a sour note as we had to remind our waiter about our wine order and ask for a bag for our to go box. Our server, Gavin, was rather surly at best most of the night with numerous unappreciated snarky comments. The food was great and served ala carte, so salad/soup is an extra to your meal. The clam chowder was full of clams in a rich broth with potatoes. The Caesar salads had ample anchovies that satisfied our friends. I had the special of fish in a lemon cream sauce served with broccoli and pasta in a light tomato oil base. It was yummy. Husband has chicken Alfredo and he said he enjoyed it. Our friends had shrimp scampi and veal. All meals were delicious. They have a wonderful coconut cake too, so I had to get a slice to go. As tables filled up, the noise level got increasingly higher. By the time we were ready to leave, our voices felt like we'd been to a concert complete with ringing ears. So service and ambience are a minus, but the food was excellent.

Yelp
My daughter craved Italian, so here we are. Quality/Quantity - Baked Rigatoni Pasta - Good, but the least favorite of the 3. Fresh Pasta Primavera Perugia Pasta - Wow, this is a hit; all our favorites!! Great flavors. Chicken Parmigiana - Chicken was done well. The pasta had minimum flavors. I should have substituted for the Primavera Perugia Pasta for a small upcharge. Okay, next time. Also available: Dinner menu. Dessert menu, none for us as we were going to Rising for the People Coffee Company next, see other Yelp. Full coffee menu. Gluten free options. Atmosphere - Plenty of parking, we got here early. Steady stream of customers after we arrived. Good size space, table, and bar seating. Cool modern decor, including the bathroom. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm. Free wifi. Bar area has TV if you want to watch sports while eating. Service - Good, both the manager and a team member helped us. They were very patient as we are first time customers and took a long time studying their menu. Price - $53 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2010. We will add your other restaurant, Johnny's Ristorante Italiano, to our place to visit next list.

Yelp
First time visit, seems odd since they've been there forever. Didn't get any pics. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a to-go order. Chicken parm, spicy angel hair, and spaghetti with meatballs. I had a pistachio gelato while we waited. All for around $60. They included 2 large loaves of garlic bread. Everything was excellent, very impressive. We probably couldn't get fast food burgers for 3 and a dessert for that low of a price.. it's a more casual version of Johnny's. I'll be back for sure.
