The 15 Best Breakfast Spots In Madrid - Madrid - The Infatuation

"Special occasion brunches call for The Palace, a historic hotel serving a luxurious breakfast buffet under a stained glass dome in an art deco-inspired space. The €45 per person brunch includes seasonal fruit, pastries, and sugary churros, plus delicately poached eggs, tortilla española, a salad bar, and an ample selection of Spanish cheeses. Don’t skip the ham station, where a trained jamón cutter—practicing an art form in Spain that requires study—slices acorn-fed Iberian ham right off the bone and onto your plate, before you head to your velvet chair to dine beside centuries-old tapestries and a glittering chandelier. The Opera & Brunch on Sundays from 1-4pm is for super special occasions—think milestone birthdays, jubilees, or wedding proposals, or when you want to eat to the sound of someone soaring effortlessly into falsetto. The €125 per person price tag gives you access to a raw bar and Champagne on arrival." - lori zaino

La Cupola inside The Palace Hotel is an absolute vibe—elegance without the fuss. We didn’t sit in the main restaurant but cozied up at the bar instead, which honestly was the perfect call. The girls split a burger and fries (which they devoured), while I sipped on a refreshing afternoon and espresso. What made it special? The ambiance. Think: a soaring glass dome from 1912, natural light flooding in, and a live pianist filling the space with soft, timeless melodies. In the afternoon, they brought out complimentary chips and some truly delicious olives—unexpected and so appreciated. It’s the kind of place where history and luxury meet, but it still feels warm and welcoming, even with kids in tow. Honestly, one of those picture-perfect moments you want to bottle up.

Visited the restaurant for afternoon tea, service is very very slow before someone brings over the menu! Then took another 39 minutes for afternoon tea to arrive. I personally disappointed since this is a Westin hotel restaurant! The afternoon tea pastry is not up to expectation for Westin Hotel , there are 3 sandwich , cheese, Salmon and Spanish ham , some restaurants offer a bid of celery, these sandwich are way too plain. Do not enjoy the pastry , nothing visually attractive. After all, I asked for the wifi password, they gave me the wrong password then disappeared completely after couple of attempts to give the correct login password. The restaurant is not busy , only 3 tables therefore I cannot understand the reason behind the poor service.

An escape to fancy with luxurious atmosphere, impeccable service, delicate flavors, and perfect drinks. Fine entrees and selection. Stunning scallops. Relaxing. Gorgeous details. Worth the splurge. Memorable meal.

The food was either too salty or too bland. However, the millefeuille was the best I've ever had. The egg custard was okay. The beautiful decor and piano playing kind of made up for some of the food though. It gets an extra star for ambiance. (I am vegetarian so my options were limited)

This restaurant/bar is lovely. The atmosphere is regal. In the morning you can have breakfast here and it was world class. In the evening you can have drinks and bar food. The circular bar is somewhat small to serve the number of tables and variety of drinks. The selection of alcohol was limited for a bar of this caliber. For example, I ordered one of the cocktails on their signature menu, and they made it with a different brand of liquor because they didn't have what was on the menu. They would be better served if they set up a more complete bar to the side to make the drinks and used the round bar for more limited drinks. The food served at the bar was not bad, but not world class. The service and attentiveness of the bar staff was not bad, but not world class either. In a bar like this, you expect your servers to enhance your visit with light conversation, not just serve you drinks and run.

This was a very elegant, fine dining experience. I recommend for anyone. The food and the ambience were superb. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and picked us some phenomenal wines to pair with our dishes.

A true fine dining experience! The food was spectacular and the chef is very talented! My fave was the Caesar salad even tho it’s a common dish :pp I found the one here really good :))) The glass dome is also so so beautiful 🥹 I felt like I was dining in a palace hall 😁 and the staff were so kind, accommodating, and friendly :> If you want a dining experience on the posh side, this place is definitely worth your money :D I would recommend this place to my fellow tourists in Madrid 🤓

We stayed in the same hotel for 3 nights and had breakfast here everyday. Ambience is just awesome. Staff is courteous. Breakfast spread is amazing. Even vegetarian options are good enough. Live kitchen for omelet.
