Where Chefs Go: Pietrasanta, Italy

"La Dogana is an enduring local favorite located up a narrow countryside road in the hills of Camaiore. For lunch or dinner in the area, Shaya recommends the “simple and beautiful” restaurant. They are famous for their savory, creamy, crispy shrimp frittole and their little sugar biscotti that they give out at the end of the meal. Dishes include monkfish stuffed with tomatoes and olives and warm custard tarts overflowing with strawberries, which guests can enjoy from the restaurant’s breezy veranda amidst sweeping views of the sea." - Marguerite Imbert

One of my favorite restaurants when I am in Italy. Both inside and outside in the garden is really pleasant to sit, also due to the countryside landscape. And the food is as usual amazing. The fish crudo is a must have, but also the grilled branzino with veggies and potatoes was very tasty! And finally kudos to the sommelier who recommended a delicious cold Pinot Nero to accompany!

Very taste. The desserts are the best. Try tuna, ravioli eggplants with Truffle.

Superb. Amazing. Excellent. The food is really good (try the pasta nera or something like that), the place itself is really beautiful and the ambiance very pleasant and hip. The staff is amazing and the alcohol selection quite wide. Make sure to book!
