La Dotta Pasta Bar & Store (Thong Lo)

La Dotta is a specialty pasta shop that focuses almost exclusively on pasta, offering both fresh and dried noodles. It's been featured in the Michelin Guide for many years. Everything on the menu is delicious, including the starters. You can also purchase fresh noodles and pasta sauce to take home and enjoy.

This pasta is a triumph. I went with the Michelin recommendation and the pork ribs were perfect, the pasta was brilliant and the sauce was unforgettable. It had multiple layers of flavour. Most notably I enjoyed the undertone of Olive oil. If the whole world made pasta like this we would have an amazing global collective. The servers were wonderful. Attentive, kind, not pushy, but very helpful! The place is super cute, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of seating upstairs and loads of bar seats downstairs. The kitchen is open concept. There is some cool music too. However, if I were to adjust the atmosphere, I would reduce the volume of the music by 20%. In stalking other people’s plates, it looks like you cannot go wrong with the pasta. They all look delightful. I especially recommend the Pici shape of the pasta. For dessert I went with the tiramisu. It was a good combination of unusual and hitting the mark. The lady fingers have a great crisp which counterintuitively really works with the flavours (the coffee is still soaked). The mascarpone cream is really nice too. I think the price is a bit high, and the tiramisu could use some rum and more coffee flavour. In any case I was still happy with it! The other desserts look really nice too. Huge selection of drinks. Pasta available for purchase downstairs. Absolutely beautiful dining experience, enjoy! Pasta dishes go for 400-600 baht. Water is 50 baht. Glass of wine goes for 320 baht. Tiramisu is 340 baht, but it is the most expensive dessert on the menu. Loved it!

Food was decent. Ordered the pesto pasta and Tortelloni. Pasta was Al dente and texture was nice. But just seemed to lack a little more flavor. Can’t seem to pinpoint what it is. Burrata salad was nice and fresh. Waiters were attentive to our needs and spoke English well. Will be back to try other dishes. The other dishes looked good on the table next to us. Not friendly for wheelchair users as the dining area is on the second floor.

Having been tipped off by the esteemed guide, I eagerly made my way to this charming eatery in the heart of the city, and I must say, I was not disappointed. From the moment you step into La Dotta, you are greeted by an elegant, cozy atmosphere with an unmistakable Italian flair. The attentive staff and the open kitchen where you can see the chefs working their magic on the pasta dough create an inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a remarkable culinary experience. The pièce de résistance of La Dotta is undoubtedly their pasta. Their handcrafted pappardelle ragu is a delight to the senses. The pasta itself is tender and fresh, while the ragu sauce, made from slow-cooked meat, is rich, flavorful, and the epitome of comfort food. This dish truly encapsulates the essence of Italian cuisine. The eggplant parmesan, a classic Italian favorite, was another standout on the menu. Layered with gooey cheese, tender eggplant, and a tangy tomato sauce, it was a delectable and filling accompaniment to the pasta dishes. The tagliatelle with wagyu short rib, yet another handmade pasta triumph, was an indulgent and luxurious dish. The delicate, silky tagliatelle noodles were a perfect match for the tender, flavorful wagyu beef. To finish off this exquisite meal, we treated ourselves to their Italian donut Nutella dessert. This heavenly concoction of light, fluffy donuts filled with creamy Nutella was a fitting end to a wonderful dining experience. La Dotta has undoubtedly earned its title as the home of the best pasta in Thailand, and it's not just the Michelin Guide that thinks so. My own experience stands testament to the exceptional quality of their handmade pasta, as well as their warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. Pasta with pork ribs were decent. Also tried one of the dry pastas and a dessert that weren't that great. It's pretty expensive and not that special. Definitely wouldn't say it is worth the cost. The atmosphere and service were good. But way overpriced at this restaurant, not what I expected at a Michelin star restaurant in Bangkok :(

A small pasta restaurant with some parking spaces in front of the place (2-3 cars). A little pricey but the dishes were great! Pasta had good texture. Crispy guanciale is a full score for me. The tiramisu was very nice. Crispy lady fingers and soft cream. The staffs were very friendly and attentive. The place was a little loud when I ate there because it was small. But overall it was a nice experience.

the fresh pasta in town ! if u really need to eat fresh pasta, u can join the table here. i went for my lunch and found that there's a set menu with reasonable price. the menu that i love is the duck egg yolk tagliatelle served with slice truffles but i won't recommend if u r a desserts' lover cos i don't think they make it good

The pork ribs bolognese is recommended. The ribs made the dish. The tomato sauce was well seasoned - could've used more cheese - but overall was really good. The cheese ball appetizer had fancy ingredients but tasted average. The dry truffle pasta was recommended by staff but there was no picture on the menu. Could've been better presentability-wise (as attached). Price is quite high given the overall quality of the food. (1.8K)
