The Best Restaurants In Humboldt Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"With abstract paintings spotlighted by ceiling lamps, this quiet Mexican sit-down restaurant could pretty easily transition into an art gallery (with a fully stocked bar). Their food also deserves some of that spotlight—it’s the reason for this nearly twenty-year-old spot’s longevity. La Encantada’s tacos and burritos are good, but focus on specialties like cheesy chiles rellenos or any of their eight different enchilada dinners. Just a heads up: this is a credit card-free zone. But if you forgot to hit up an ATM, you can also Venmo them." - josh barnett, john ringor

I have loved Sundance’s unique clothing, belts, jewelry, shoes… for years. They now have signs everything is on sale. And all sales are final. That was not defined earlier and caused significant strife with returning items not clearly marked this way. I appreciate the managers assistance. With everything on final sale, it’s obvious the store is closing. They will be missed.

It was so pretty with the big Christmas tree and the workers their were so nice! The Sushi place was really good then we got frost Gelato it was super great! Also they are doing a little pet photo shoot

Beautiful place. Go now!

Google
Mall seems to be leaning towards a younger crowd like Tucson Mall and Park Mall. Loosing high end stores for athletic stores. Still a nice looking mall just not high end anymore. So if you have Klarma come and shop as it seems you can buy now pay later like the outlets and other malls.

Google
Such a wonderful outdoor shopping mall They have a lot of higher end stores. There is plenty of parking throughout the complex. Even some covered parking back out back. There is multiple different dining options on site. North Italia is 1 of my favorites. Frost is always great for a quick Gelato. The mall is very peaceful, quiet and clean.

Google
Beautiful, Clean outdoor shopping center ~ A lot of great stores to choose from. Two of my favorite places are AJ's Fine Foods and the Southern Arizona Arts Guild (lots of beautifully made art in all mediums). There are some nice eateries in this shopping center as well.

Do not get non Warby Parker frames adjusted here. I had a nice pair of frames that were getting loose and they were overheated and bent. They actually broke my glasses.

I'm living in a dusty 🏜️ 6 bucks out of the Northeast side of Tucson, these restaurants are definitely to be desired. Maybe not for a small few, lol. The stores have those name brand stuff that ide would rather buy a weekend at the rits. And buy something from Ross or second hand. But some people. Like sheets that make you feel like your in heaven. Like me. So yea I would buy a lot of that stuff. Thanks for a nice dinner at the sushis restaurant. They have a drive up drop off and can take reservations. Disabled accessable. Very friendly . I. Fact the whole malls robotic personalities was very calming. Everyone was friendly.

Yelp
Don't visit mall much, but when I do I get everything I need from Lush, & Aveda. Peruse through Anthropology, Tiffany's, Crate & Barrel, & then get a drink from AJ's Fine Foods. Fun atmosphere around Christmas time.

Yelp
I love shopping at this mall! I haven't been here for a while, but I went a couple days ago and noticed new stores! Apple has also moved upstairs. They also have Lululemon upstairs! The vibe here is so calm and it feels like I could shop for hours. Sometimes, I just sit outside and enjoy the view and moment. There's a fireplace upstairs as well, so if you want to take a seat and chill, you totally could! The restrooms there are also very clean. I love everything about this mall!

Yelp
The center floral display at the turn around has been demolished. I'm hoping that they keep the beautiful center tree.

Yelp
This is a very nice mall but this is not an outlet !! On yelp they say "10 best outlets in Tucson" but this is a luxury mall !
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful selection of high-end merchandise that's the upside but the downside is that it is the more expensive stores
google avatar

Yelp
I like coming here. They have a lot of high-end stores, and it's not crowded. You will have a more relaxed shopping experience. They have a few fine dining restaurants that are really a favorite of mine. The staff is so friendly in all the stores I checked into. It's my go-to when it comes to shopping. I wish they would open a beauty store like Sephora or Ulta.

Yelp
At any given time I love most of their stuff. What I don't love is the strong arm sales tactics which it seems this store requires. If I don't ask for your help with styling, leave me alone. Don't be snotty because you brought something to my dressing room I didn't ask for and I didn't like it. And definitely don't argue with me about why I feel uncomfortable in a look YOU wanted me to buy. I do like much of their clothes , but i can find like items in another store with a much less annoying setting.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS MALL! It has my favorite stores! Anthropologie, Vuori, Lululemon, Gorjana, Kendra Scott, etc. And EVEREVE comes winter 2024!!! Not the cheapest mall, but man, it's so good. I just stocked up on Varley at Anthro!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun and small and nice ambience and beautiful looks and plenty of stores!! Must go must see great views

Paulette S.

Yelp
This store never answers their phone so we may schedule an appointment. We are in SW Tucson so have a drive to get there and have other obligations in SW. I have tried first thing in the morning and afternoons, various times; rolls into voicemail. Disappointing there is only one store. The TMobile store suggested calling and gave us the number; will let him know it didn t work.

Yelp
We probably don't use La Encantada to the fullest. We only live 3 signals away, but the ice cream and the fine dining are all we've done here. But now , I have to work on my personal stamina after surgery this month. So , I'm a new Mall Walker. Safe in the morning with roving security. The bathrooms on the second level are open and clean. There are stairs, escalators and elevators. So loops of both levels are doable. My recovery is 6 weeks light duty. That will be a lot of window shopping. LoL.

Yelp
The main reason people go here is to go to the Apple Store. I cannot find the separate page for the Apple Store so ima just write it here. I came in to buy an iPad 10th generation. And I'm happy to report all the bad things are false. The staff are no where as rude. I came in opening hours during its peak time and they still didn't have an attitude despite dealing with a lot of customers. The mall itself is clean and professional.

Jacob B.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, this mall is beautiful, clean, and hands down the best in Tucson however, in my opinion the selection is a bit lackluster especially for the men. Like any mall in this town yes, there are definitely some closed store fronts but I can see that La Encantada is trying to revitalize itself and I respect that. My only issue however, is the fact that the stores present (today) are usually targeted towards an older audience (and yes I understand that the mall's location might have something to do with that) or are targeted more strongly towards a female crowd. I am quite excited for Vuori and Alo as it targets pretty much everyone I just wish they'd squeeze in an Abercrombie and Fitch ;) Don't even get me started on the food options as they are the best in town 10/10

Yelp
Fave mall in Tucson! I always find what I'm looking for. Not to mention the only store in the area with an Apple Store!

Donna W.

Yelp
Fun mall. Lots of walking and good shops. I found a dress for a good price, and a sweatshirt for a great price.
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Very nice open-outdoor mall! I have been a few times in the past in Tucson trips and it was always good and this time was not any different! We walked around all the shops (our main reason for being there was to go to Lush) and my niece and nephew enjoyed being there very much! They had a great variety of stores as well!
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
This outdoor mall is amazing! It is upscale, yet inviting. My wife and I were here to drop my computer off at the APPLE store, and since we were early, we walked around and window shopped. The open outdoor mall space was being used for a sing and dance along for little kids. VERY neat to see 3 to 5 year olds dancing!! There are a variety of stores here....COACH, TIFFANY , CRATE & BARREL.....(see a pattern here)...lol. There are a number of restaurants to choose from, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains that look close enough to touch! This mall is a must see, and a must visit!

Yelp
This mall has the potential to be absolutely awesome. It's in a fantastic neighborhood, there's great restaurants, AJ's is the bomb, and it has a Tommy Bahama--one of my all-time favorites. Why is it not a five star in my book? I'm not terribly impressed with the selection of stores. That is understandable considering I've been to Scottsdale and have been through Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. What you'll find here is pricey niche/hippy stores like Anthropologie, Crate and Barrel, and stuff like that. You won't be finding a department store here like Neiman, Saks, or Nordstrom, nor will you find stores like Tesla, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, or Calvin Klein. There is an Apple store, though, so that's pretty cool. If you're in town visiting, and you must go shopping at an upscale mall, by all means--take a gander at the store directory or come by for a quick walk-through. I guarantee you will be jumping in the car to head to Scottsdale.

Yelp
I enjoy the idea of bringing my dog to walk around with me. Not that I need to go into every store but just to go out and let my pup stretch their legs. Such a beautiful location for Cars and Coffee and a good turn out most every time. Make sure to get a coffee and snack at AJ's Fine Foods (they have quite the selection of exotic fruits).
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
I enjoy going to this mall, not only for the wonderful views and friendly atmosphere. I am totally deaf, I've had two strokes and a heart attack. I like the fact that you have a sign that states if your hearing impaired or underlying health issues you don't have to wear a mask. If I got into a store I put one on for respect of the store. I am you glad you have this sign because I love being outside and enjoy your mall. A beautiful setting and lots of beautiful shops, restaurant! Of course AJ's store which is fantastic. Love La Encantada Mall, thank you for making me feel so welcomed.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Always stop at La Encantada to do a little shopping and eating when I'm in Tucson. I love the selection of stores and restaurants and the layout there is beautiful.
google avatar

Jenni K.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to shop in Tucson. I grew up in the surrounding area and La Encantada was one of the best things to happen in the Foothills. From AJs to Frost to the Apple store to Tiffany's to Crate & Barrel, you can find upscale stores and eateries here. It never feels overcrowded. Fun tip: there are a decent number of Pokestops for those who play Pokémon Go :)
google avatar

Margie A.

Yelp
Not much better than an outdoor mall on a beautiful day. Add to that Coach, Apple, Aveda and a few great eateries- you've got La Encantada. Be sure to check out the Living Room
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
This is a high-end mall for those with money. There are some "cheaper" stores like the Humane Society, or MAC but generally the stores run at a higher end price wise. I love that it's outside with fountains, benches, and greenery. It's very pretty. I also love how dog friendly this place is. Most stores I have been in allowed dogs, Anthropologie even offers dog treats. There are also dog friendly patios at restaurants like RA or restaurants with stunning views of the city. I rarely shop or eat here unless someone else is paying. I lack the funds to come here otherwise but it's still pretty?
google avatar

Nancy S.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to shop in Tucson! It is a beautiful and peaceful shopping experience all the time!
google avatar

Paige S.

Yelp
This is a beautiful mall; well cleaned, easy access to both floors of the mall, nice seating areas. The best of all things is that it allows dogs! It was a lot of fun seeing my dogs on the escalator - one of them even like it! I will say one thing though... it is very expensive to shop there. They have every high end stores and some restaurants that sound amazing. I think my boyfriend said it best, "Babe, I don't think we are rich enough even to park here!" This is the place I like to walk around and dream of the type of house I can have - especially with Crate and Barrel being here. Also the things I can cook by shopping at AJ's Fine Foods all the time. They have some items you can't get anywhere else in town... when I went I was looking for finishing salt. One huge plus is that this is where the Pawsh headquarters are... a store I will always hold near and dear to my heart because that is where I got my own puppy (though at the Park Place Mall location). It is a beautiful store. I will dream of the day I can shop here all the time, because it very much is the mall of my dreams.
google avatar

Yelp
This has to be one of my most favorite shopping locations in Tucson, AZ. It's so peaceful and quite a few of my favorite shopping locations ie. Tiffany & Co. The weather is beautiful all year long for my taste of an out door shopping experience. Some great local eateries as well. Can't wait to return!
google avatar

George T.

Yelp
La Encantada was unique for Tucson when it opened. A thriving restaurant/night life, some high end shops. Many have closed. AJ's is still a fine foods store worth going to. Real shopping is in Scottsdale despite a Tiffanys and Louis Vuitton. RA, Blancos and North remain good restaurants. Valet available.
google avatar

Betsy M.

Yelp
Love this mall for the pure fact it has all the great shopping we don't have on the east side... LUSH, Crate & Barrell, Louis Vuitton, Potter Barn, Papyrus. They have some pretty great dining options as well - we love Firebird's and have some fun events throughout the year.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Best upscale mall in Tucson with gorgeous scenery. While the store selection is limited, it is nice to have a Pottery Barn and a Crate & Barrel in the Tucson area. There are nice restaurants in the area and the Frost Gelato is really good. I haven't been, but the grocery store seems very nice. There's also a store whose proceeds go to the animal shelter and sometimes they have adoptions there. Come here to have lunch or dinner, walk around the upscale stores, or sit on a bench and enjoy the sunshine.
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Great options for shopping, clean and yummy eats nearby. All a perfect equation for five stars
google avatar

Tito T.

Yelp
Pro: One of a few places to visit in the hills of Tucson Free parking Cons High end type shops and restaurants Not many variety of stores
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
A fancy mall for the higher end consumer. It has an Apple Store. It has Lush. It has Crate & Barrel, Louis Vuitton, L'Occitane, etc. It has some decent restaurants too. It's mostly outdoors, which isn't so bad during the cooler months. The parking lots are arranged kinda wonky, but it's a minor quibble. Decently enjoyable.
google avatar

Yelp
As I wandered around here, I didn't find it very pleasant. If you don't write a positive Review, then it's not allowed, but, in my true opinion, La Encantada is a waste of precious desert land devoted to upscale snob stores that distract the upper echelon from their "boredom". That's all I got while there. They wander around looking stupid, drive their idiotic cars & feast in the expensive restaurants, all while parading their empty economic triumphs. No stores here were of any interest to me, who needs upscale make-up? So, I left. The few times I've been there, I found it repulsive. This Review is a sincere first-hand experience Review.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
Upscale shops in an attractive, intimate shopping center. The usual high quality chain stores are well represented. Cole Haan, Luis Vuitton, Bose, Apple, L'Occitane, Crate and Barrel (just to name a few examples) and a reasonably gourmet anchor grocery store: AJ's Fine Foods. A smattering of restaurants and a fairly decent wine bar (Armitage) offer repast for the shopper. The main walking spaces meander about the shops, taking advantage of Tucson's generally sunny weather. The non-orthogonal passageways also help break up the sunshine and provide an oasis from a brutal summer sun. I've found the parking to be generous (granted, I go off-peak) and access easy. Whenever I'm in town visiting family, we always like to stop by. Color me a fan.

Yelp
La Encantada is basically in backyard. It really is a beautiful outdoor mall and quite relaxing most of the time. They have a decent selection of high-end stores. I'd personally like to see more boutique stores in here (hence the 4), but I don't think they've thrived in the past. Regardless having J Crew, Apple Store, Crate and Barrel, WIlliams Sonoma, Papyrus, Victorias Secret, MAC, Anthropologie, BCBG, Coach, L.Vuitton, Tiffany'...I think you get the point, makes La Encantada great enough! And of course, the fact that AJ's is basically in my backyard, makes me even happier. Come here to just cruise around, shop a bit, enjoy a snack a t AJ's, have a drink at North. There's quite a bit of lovely consuming to accomplish here! Plus, I love that they make such great use of the outdoor space by having great event such as Fashion's Night Out, Tequila & Salsa Challenge, and other culinary and fashion oriented events. Since it is an outdoor mall, make sure to hit it up early during the Summer time. The heat can really make shopping unpleasant. But come fall, this place is a perfect little shopping haven.
google avatar

Eleana H.

Yelp
Where else can I find all my favorites in one location?? I come here for five specific stores, Williams&Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Blue Mercury and Jcrew. Oh! and I guess I can't forget about RA they have a great happy hour =) La Encantada is a beautiful outdoor mall that even allows me to bring my favorite fluffy pooch with me, its the only mall I go to here in Tucson.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
No blue light specials here - higher end stores and boutiques abound in an absolutely divine setting. From Coach, Louis Vuitton, BCBG (whose dresses I'm constantly dry humping, much to the dismay of sales girls nationwide) to the more affordable Bebe and Lucky Brand Jeans. I don't think I've ever been to a more gorgeous mall. Easy in and out with plenty of parking. Come at sunset - the views over by Anthropologie are to die for.
google avatar

Sitha I.

Yelp
Oh you fancy huh? This wouldnt be my favorite mall in Tucson, there's just stores here you dont shop at on a regular basis. But if your looking for something more high end, then they have boutiques like BCBG and True Religion. Usually the spot to pick something up for a special occasion or special someone. Besides the restaurants, Tiffany's is probly the only store I've dropped money in. If I was to spoil myself I'd make a drive to shop out of Tucson (like Phoenix/Scottsdale). But its an outdoor mall located on the foothills of tucson. Pick a good spot and you'll get a beautiful view of the scenery and city.

Yelp
La Encantada is a beautiful outdoor mall. They have very high end stores and the crowds to go with it. If I need a nice gift or need that perfect dress, I always hit La Encantada first. With Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Anthropologie, Papyrus, Coach, MAC, and an Apple store (among many others), it's a great place to spend the day. I love to hit Williams-Sonoma to look at their latest stuff, wanter around Anthropologie and Crate and Barrel and then hit up AJ's Fine Foods for an iced coffee and some chocolate. And a 6 pack of beer and fancy cheese to go. I recommend parking in the back (entrance is off of Campbell north of Sunrise)- there are more spots and it's less hectic than the entrance off of Sunrise by AJs. I've never left La Encantada disappointed after a shopping trip. HOWEVER At night, the restaurants (Especially North) come alive with a pretty unique crowd- older singles (post-college) acting like they have more money than they actually do. Or the DILF wanna bes dropping Benjamins like it's no big deal, just trying to hook up. On the flipside, it's also a Cougartown. So be warned.
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
On beautiful days I love to wander through this "mall". Today was no exception. Had to pick up some cards and a gift for a friend. Parking isn't difficult depending on day and time. I usually go to the back and park in the covered parking. In tucson that is a great feature. There are a variety of stores and restaurants here so you can find just about anything you are looking for. Yes, most stores are more expensive. But they aren't Target. Don't expect them to be. Go here. Do some window shopping. Bring your dogs as they are welcome and enjoy the views. A nice relaxing Sunday.

Yelp
I LOVE La Encantada! It really offers a wonderful shopping and dining experience. There's nothing else like it in Tucson. It has anything and everything I could ever want and/or need! From clothing, home décor, dining, shoes, sunglasses to fine foods and more! You will most likely find me in Anthropologie and J. Crew. I just love their cute clothes, fabulous styles, and accessories. Sundresses at Anthro ROCK! Oh and the sales peeps are wonderful and super friendly. I love to wander through the beautiful courtyards to the different stores even if I'm not in the purchasing mood. Just browsing is sometimes just as fun! BCBG is awesome and always has great sales on clothes and shoes and I am totally stuck on ILORI, the super hot designer sunglass shop where you get to try on all the cool new styles. After a long day of walking and shopping I love to head over to Armitage for their awesome cocktails and appetizers. They have the best happy hour specials in all of Tucson. I always start off with a glass of their sauvignon blanc and an order of the bruchetta.....outa this world delicious! I was bummed to learn that Mini's Cupcakes is closing its doors and Bluepoint and Pamela Laurence Gallery have already shut down. The Apple Store, I must say, is typically always crowded! That I can understand never having an issue going out of business. Same goes for Crate & Barrell, another one of my favorite stores! I adore all of their home décor! Sad but true...last time I was there it really felt like a ghost town! Please La Encantada don't go away! We Tucsonans need you! I need you!

Yelp
I enjoy coming to this shopping center for a few stores I love (William Sonoma being my favorite) and to occasionally dine with nice views. This shopping center is always clean and well manicured and even on the busy days, it never seems to get too loud. Be warned that if your pocket book is feeling a little light, this may not be the shopping mall to find great deals. With stores like Tommy Bahama, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Bebe, Pottery Barn, and l occitane, you are looking at designer prices to go with these brand names. But if you find yourself short of things to do one lonely beautiful Tucson day, take a gander and walk the shopping center being sure to stop at Pawsh, the pet boutique which features adopatable dogs and cats (from the Human Society of Southern Arizona) and say "Hi" to the little furries for me! Maybe even stop at Frost on your way out for a delectable gelato. :)
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
Maybe i am just spoiled because the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego is a lot more comprehensive. I had been to this mall a couple of years ago, and I feel like it had more of a "wow" factor back then. Too big to be a strip mall, to small to really be a Mall. Seem like they are lacking something here - for a town that is supposed to be so resort-ish they should have a Lily Pulitzer or a Lulu Lemon. They could use a Nordstrom. Nordstrom is the best store ever. I love AJ's Market here - great selection of wine, with in store tastings. Good cheese selection, and good variety of specialty items and products from around the world.
google avatar

Kai Y.

Yelp
Came here to check out the scene/eat at North. Coming from LA, this mall isn't very impressive. Perhaps LA people are spoiled. I give the mall a 3 because it's nicely kept and overall looks like a higher end mall. My problem is it's small and doesn't have a lot of stores. There are not a lot of high end stores for a high end mall. But to be fair "high end" is a relative term. Lastly I couldn't believe just about all the stores were closed at 7 on a Tuesday. But that goes for all the stores around the area. It is the nicest shopping center I've found around Tucson. Also seems to be a popular hang out spot. Guessing I will come to appreciate this mall.
google avatar

Faith D.

Yelp
La Encantada is one of my highlights whenever I visit Tucson. It's THE high-end shopping located in the Foothills. I love that it's outdoor shopping (although in the middle of summer I start changing my tune). They do a great job of keeping it clean, well landscaped, and it just has great energy. It's not too big, but has stores for almost anyone to enjoy (e.g., Apple, Anthropologie, MAC, Crate & Barrel). My ritual is stopping by A&J's and getting an iced coffee to go and sip on it while strolling through the rest of the stores...follow my lead and thank me later. They have wonderful dining options too. End your shopping spree at one of the restaurants and get a dessert at Frost in the end. Consider this itinerary a perfect day.
google avatar

Cheryl M.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Can I afford it? NO. Do I look beyond that and grab a glass of wine at Armitage or some gelato at Frost and do some window shopping? ABSOLUTELY!! I look beyond the Ken's and Barbie's, especially during RA Sushi Happy Hours and just enjoy the outdoors and everything that the Foothills has to offer. The atmosphere of this place is spectacular. The food choices are top notch and I give the window shopping an A+, with the occasional purchase at Black and White, Victoria Secret or Crate and Barrel. This is by far the place to come with some out-of-town friends or a fun night out. Enjoy!! Tip: Dogs welcome. You'll see them everywhere! Even on the patio with their people enjoying some vino!

Yelp
Beautiful mall. Love taking my toddler there to get outside and just run around. Not the mall I'd go to to get all my shopping done haha, but here and there for special occasion shopping it's great. ( because who can shop at Louis Vuitton every weekend?! But still fun to look : ) Girls are Kate Spade are fantastic! Great customer service!
