Was good for the wait. Glad it was warm. Thinking cold would be bad. 2hr wait. They need to limit people ordering for big groups.

Really good torta! The line can be long so best recommendation is to get there before they open at 8AM. There is no seating but the street it’s off of has a center island with benches or just look up a park nearby.

A true Chilango must-try experience. We’re famous for our crazy breakfasts and this one is no exception. Excellent quality, delicious food, and friendly service.

Had the pollo millanese con salsa rojo. Amazing. Lovely flavours and spice. And the bread for the torta is great. Filling and a great start to the day!

This place is great for brunch. The chilaquiles sandwich was very good. The bread was soft and the meat was very flavorful. They had a prefixed item selection and unfortunately, unless you go there early, you'll miss the salsa rojo that apparently was the best sauce to have with it. The staff was very chill and straightforward and no issues and very honest. Keep in mind during peak times it'll be extremely busy.

Okay. AMAZING. We came on a Tuesday around 9:30 pm and luckily there was no line. There's no menu and no real sign, so we double-checked it was the right place by asking someone who was already eating . The team didn't speak English, so we basically got whatever they decided to make for us. I was hoping for chicken anyway, so it worked out, but my friend and I originally planned to share and try two different proteins. I DEVOURED the chicken torta chilaquiles sandwich. It did start to get a little tough towards finish towards the end, but I powered through because it was such a flavor bomb. No way I was leaving that behind. I was expecting the chilaquiles to be crunchy, and they weren't- but they also weren't soggy in a gross way. The texture actually worked in the sandwich, and the flavor was so good. And THE CREMA. So rich. So yum. Big fan. It filled me up for the entire day. Zero regrets.

Came across this place on Google and decided to try it out since it was nearby. The line was super long at 9:30am on a Saturday. Not sure why everyone says the line goes by fast because it did not feel like it. The line went all the way to the Super Creamy ice cream/cafe and it was a 50 minute wait. Got 6 La bombas for the group and took it back home to eat which was a brisk 5 min walk. Yes, these are messy but they are delicious. Everything is seasoned well and the bread was soft. It is a heavy meal but it was the perfect fuel for a long day. Bring cash and study some reviews because there are no menus. You can order online for delivery but the menu is very limited. The La bomba was 75 pesos each.

A good tasting, messy sandwich with excellent value that will fill you up. Who doesn't love carbs? What's to hate about chips, beans, cheese, onions, a lightly breaded chicken cutlet and your choice of salsa? It's chilaquiles in a bolillo! The only thing that I would have preferred is for the chips to be less soggy and more crunchy to get more contrast in texture (but that's just me, not trying to change their method and system, just a heads up to the user). If you need to fill up for a long day of walking around town, this carb bomb will keep you satisfied. Don't be deterred by the long lines, the employees work super fast to get you on your way. Cash only!

Got there at 11am and was worried they'd be sold out, as other reviews have mentioned. Lucky me they weren't! There were about 10 people in front of me, not bad and the line moved quickly . They are efficient: I ordered at the window, handed the lady my money(50 pesos) and the torta was in my hand...just like that! I walked over to Parque México to eat my prize. It was delicious, messy but delicious! It's quite the gut bomb and held me over for most of the day, so definitely come hungry! Enjoy!

Food was amazing! The chilaquiles had chicken which we were not expecting. Line moved fairly quickly and it is not expensive at all. Being in the line you can tell it had tourist and many people were taking pictures. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

For a more unique torta experience, stand in line at this no-frills food stand. There's usually a line, but it moves quickly. Once you order, you'll have your sandwich within seconds. The milanesa sandwich comes with a thin chicken cutlet and all the chilaquiles flavor. If you love spice, get the red sauce. For more mild (but still spicy), get the green sauce. The sandwiches were good and unique, but didn't live up to the hype as much as expected. It's cash only! There's an ATM blocks away.

One of my favorite eats in CDMX. CASH ONLY! Easy street vendor to spot since it's in the corner, usually packed with people in line, and all employees wearing shirts that say La Esquina Del Chilaquil. Not only does the line go by quick but the wait is definitely worth. I got the chicken milanesa torta, which came with black beans, choice of red or green chilaquiles (red is spicier), crema, and cheese (which I opted out for on both.) I ended up eating these tortas 2x while being in CDMX for 5 days. The biggest downside is that there is no seating but a torta isn't too hard to eat standing up. Definitely a must try for CDMX!

So I wanted some breakfast and Yelp steered me here with wonderful reviews and tantalizing pictures. I'm not usually a fan of tortas but this definitely changed my mind. On a seemingly random street corner in CDMX, this food stall stands out with their long line and quick service! Speaking minimal (basically no) Spanish, I was still able to order (there is no menu so just go with the Yelp suggestions and order la bombe). Everyone was moving at an amazing pace and basically once you order, you wait at most one minute for your food. They also seem to have a THRIVING delivery service so it was promising to see that as well. Anyway, la bombe with the salsa verde is what I ended up getting and I dream of coming back. It was an explosion of flavors, from the tangy, salsa verde with chilaquiles to the savory and slight spicy carnitas. The torta itself was also very moist and soaked up all the flavors of the filling. Best part, it was like 75 pesos and one def filled me up even though I wish I bought more!

La Esquina de los Chilaquiles is an absolute must! I'm still thinking about my torta de milanesa with green and red chilaquiles . The wait was definitely worth it--everything was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. We even had entertainment while waiting, which made the experience even better. Such an amazing spot! If you're in Mexico City, you have to check this place out!

If you're in Mexico City, I highly recommend coming here! We came here twice and both times we were extremely lucky with the wait time! We had high expectations and were not disappointed. Honestly one of my favorite foods while in CDMX. We were told to order - "bomba" which is the torta with milanesa, chilaquiles (green or red), crema, and cheese. This will be the first thing I get next time I visit.

This place is absolutely amazing. Be sure to go early on a week day or something because on weekends, there's typically a really long line from what we saw. My friends brought it back to our place on a Monday morning and we were all wow'd at how good it was. They got two different ones. One with green sauce and the other with red sauce. The three of us split it so that we could try both and thought it was so good. Would absolutely recommend picking up from this stand - you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely loved CDMX, and this little food stand business was one of the best food stops of the trip! I first heard about this place from Mark Wiens on YouTube. It was a little out of the way, so I Ubered over while the rest of my group was getting ready, ordered for everyone, and met them at the bus station for Teotihuacan. Even at 8/9 AM, there was a line, but it moves fast! I ordered three green and two red tortas, and after walking around Teotihuacan for four hours in the dry summer heat, these sandwiches were perfect. It was a little squished and seemingly melted, but the combination of "crispy" chilaquiles, fresh bread, crema, and the crunch from the milanesa made every bite incredible. If I had to pick, I'd say the green was my favorite, but both were yummy. One sad note--while waiting for the bus back, my sister accidentally dropped her sandwich out of its packaging. So if you're taking these to go, be extra careful! Overall, this place is 100% worth the hype. Get there early, grab both red and green to compare, and enjoy one of the best (and most satisfying) street food experiences in CDMX!

Delish! Every time I come to Mexico City, is a must. I always stop by for breakfast at least twice once when I arrive and again before I leave. There's always a line, but it moves quickly and is 100% worth the wait. Highly recommend!

Came here around 10:30am on a Tuesday morning... line was not around the corner... we only waited about 5 minutes to place our order. Good amount of food for under $5.00 i mean chicken cutlet, beans, cheese, sour cream plus the chilaquiles...not bad. I got the half green half red. Personally the green ones are tastier they are a lil spicy and good flavor overall the red chilaquiles were a bit blah but not a bad flavor.. i would go back if I were in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way JUST to eat there...

I understand why this place is on the top list of all of the street food YouTube channels. At first I thought Chilaquiles on bread - like is carbs on carbs really necessary? Yes, yes it is. I got to have an amazing behind the scenes experience into street food in Mexico City as a tourist. I got there and there was a short line (rare I know), well they ran out of the torta rolls and had to wait for some to arrive so I had some time to take in a few things. First off was the woman behind me who, even though I couldn't understand everything she was saying, sounded like she just lost her puppy because she might not get to have her chilaquiles sandwich. Then came the operational logistics of a prominent food stand. A truck pulled up with an official coca-cola delivery guy that dropped of pallets of soda to the tents. Then I realized they had a sort of kitchen/prep area out of a nearby restaurant. Then finally the delivery of the rolls, they came with like four pallets. It's just crazy to me that this is for a food stand. I ordered one salsa verde one salsa roja (got to try them both duh) both with the chicken cutlet. These guys moved fast. Waiting in line I had time to practice my order in Spanish in my head, but this is a local spot that doesn't fool around. My Spanish came out a bit wrong, I got some looks. (Thank your for your help guy behind me, next time I'll just point). The woman behind me was elated and did a little food dance when she finally got her torta. Which after eating it I totally get it.

The hype is real. Got there at 7:40 this morning and the line started. Got in line about 6 people deep and it moved very quickly. Got "la bomba" and I was not disappointed. I think it's basically everything they have. Pork, chicken, cream, green sauce. The works. All super fresh. Sat in a bench the the park next to the stand and engorged. Loved every bite.

La torta de Chilaquiles estaba sabrosa. Tenía una embarrada de frijoles, un pedazo de milanesa, chilaquiles rojos y verdes, queso fresco y crema. Con una estas bien para todo el dia. día. The chilaquiles sandwich was delicious. It had a layer of beans, a piece of milanesa, red and green chilaquiles, fresh cheese and sour cream. One would have you feeling full all day.

The hype is real!! The green salsa is my favorite without meat and with milanesa, both are phenomenal. Come early because they sell out by noon. And even though the line gets long, they serve really fast. A definitely must try when in Mexico City.

Everyone kept raving about this place from seeing it on YouTube. I didn't see it on YouTube myself and forgot how I even bookmarked this place. But this is a street vendor that is out in the morning 6 days a week. From 8am-Noon. A tent set up by the street light. A line that quickly forms for these tortas. These aren't just any torta's they are filled with chilaquiles, creama, and refried beans. You need to eat these right away because of the freshness from the bread. You get a choice of either green or red sauce. I went with the green. And loved every bite of this sandwich. It gets busy, but the line moves quickly. Chilaquiles have long been one of my favorite foods, but this viral stall in Condesa served one of the best preparations I've ever tried. For vegetarians, the torta de chilaquiles without the chicken milanesa comes served with a thick spoonful of some of the most satisfying chilaquiles verdes you've ever tasted paired with a generous pouring of crema. From afar, the bread may not look like much, but the torta was surprisingly soft and was a perfect vessel for this incredible gluttonous sandwich.

If you can try any place, TRY THIS ONE. We came twice-- Thursday, no line vs Saturday long line but moved quickly. The place is in a corner spot so no seating available it's more of to go which we found convenient because we could walk and eat. The chilaquil torta itself was nothing short of amazing, I will be dreaming of this place forever.

I'd seen this as a top spot to try on many food sites/blogs/vlogs...overall, I'd give it a 3.5. We arrived around 9:15am and waited in line for about 20 minutes. I got the sandwich with tomatillo chilaquiles and chicken milanese. The chilaquiles were fine - they had a mild tomatillo flavor. The roll used was nice and sturdy and perfect for that kind sandwich. The chicken was fine - it could have used a bit more seasoning. The added cheese and crema made it a richer meal. If you're from California and are a fan of Mexican food, you may find these a bit underwhelming. It would be better if these were served warm and a bit fresher (warm chicken, non-soggy tortilla chips). If you are not too familiar with Mexican food or want to try something unique, give this place a try. There is no seating, so you'll have to find a nearby park where you can enjoy your sandwich. Keep in mind that there's almost always a queue - probably not worth more than a 20 minute wait. Because they really sell only a few items, the line moves quickly.

This is that place on the corner. With the huge line that moves... slowly. But it's worth the wait! The morning I went I waited about 40 mins on a TUESDAY.. they kept running out of Milanesa... every five minutes. The problem is most people are ordering 5-10 Tortas at a crack! They had two varieties when I went: Chicken Milanesa & Pork Cochinita. The bolillo roll is hollowed out on bottom half and they fill with either verde or rojo chilaquiles, top with Milanesa then cheese & sour cream! The *Bomba* is a masterpiece & I would def wait in line again. Service is brisk.. once you get to the counter and it's cheap/ like 30 pesos per? Talk later

Another Netflix joint in Mexico City! Big ol line but they hassle! Was the wait worth it??? It would've moved a bit faster if these Influencers would stop holding up lines and get to the front of the line while everyone else has to wait! Definitely over 30 minutes of waiting. So expect to stand and move slow Okay the food: Bread definitely fresh with that soft touch and crunchy. Beans, cheese, cream typical Chilaquiles: green not dry or to wet. I'm use to warm or hot ones though these were cold because they were in a big clear tub. They do stuff it well but I'll be honest it wasn't worth the wait (to me) to cold. But the experience was there on different soil..

The Lines to get the food can be crazy, we reached here at 9 and didn't get to order food till 9.30 but definitely worth the wait. All ingredients were fresh and good quality ones. Highly recommend trying the Bomba Torta de Chilaquiles Verde. It is small food stand so definitely more of a to-go place, keep that in mind while visiting this place

We were driving by and saw a huuuuge line for this food stand in the afternoon so figured it's a must try. Doing a little bit more research, it looks like this was featured on a Netflix show! We got the sandwiches with everything in it and it was super yummy. Pesos only! And try going super early to avoid the wait. We went 9am on a Monday and there was barely any wait. Recommend!

After seeing all the hype about La Esquina del Chilaquil, I was a little disappointed. Granted, they could have just had an off day. I like chilaquiles and love the concept but it was a little dry and not as good as I imagined from the reviews and videos.

I came here on a Friday morning, the group woke up a little late after a long first night of drinks & delicious food near our AirB&B. We arrived at 8:45am (they open at 8am) to a medium sized line of about 30 people. There was also a Asian-Mexican influencer who was there making a video and serving food so maybe that was why the line felt long. We were able to order Cafe de Olla that we could enjoy while in line. 30 pesos for 3 coffees. Not bad to me at all. Each location that has Cafe de Olla in CDMX is a different experience in itself. If you enjoy sweet & flavorful, full body coffees then you will be in love with this drink served almost everywhere. We ordered 1 Torta of each (Red and Green). Both were full of flavor and the textures were solid and just laying on the softest on the inside and crispy on the outside bread. The only thing that threw me off was that I like my food piping hot. Both tortas were just warm enough to hesitate on the chew. I would recommend trying it at least once. Come early.

Is called La esquina del Chilaquil, and I know is hard to see but they have the menu posted on the plastic film, is a very busy stand, they post the menu differently every day and you can choose from the menu of the day, people wait on line for them to be served, is cash only no credit cards do be prepared to come with cash, everyone knows this place, they had torta con chilaquiles y milanesa, for example we tried all of them and we loved them, you have to come to this corner when you con to Mexico city.

Worth the wait! 45 mins cause we got there late. Consider going early or not on a weekend. I asked for the one that was least spicy, it was the green and it was delicious. Best value we had and it was so good. I'd go back all over again. They do have it available for delivery to the surrounding area with use of Rappi app. Looks like that can be a faster option. Would recommend.

There were many highlights of our CDMX trip in 2019 during Dios de los Muertos, one of them, and quite possibly ranking in the top three - is our breakfast/brunch from this small but popping food stand. La Esquina del Chilaquil specializes in one thing, and one thing only - red or green (rojas or verde) sandwiches. We got there pretty early and the line was already down the block and, despite the chilly October/November air and our growing hanger, the wait was worth it for these incredible sandwiches. Our wait was about an hour to an hour and a half long. I'm still not even completely sure what I ate, but by gosh, I was licking the crumbs off the wrapping. That worth it. I opted for the green sauce, and also tried a bite of my friends red sauce. When you go, do like the rest, order a bunch at a time and bring them back. Or maybe designate one friend, the early riser of the group (say me) to trek here super early and grab the orders. You can also order from here on Uber Eats, but I'm not sure on what the wait is for that. We did see a few Uber Eats deliveries being picked up, but they had a separate line. This carb-filled sandwich was perfect to fuel our trek up the pyramids.

I was on the hunt for the best chilaquiles, and this listing came up. Basically chilaquiles in a sandwich! And you'd think with a crazy big line it was going to be absolutely delicious. It wasn't worth the wait for me, and the bread detracted from the chilaquiles taste.

OH MY GOODNESS! My sister sent me a A TikTok of this place, so I had to try it. Luckily, it was only a 10 minute Uber ride from our Airbnb in Condesa. They are located on a corner and we got there right at 8:05am as we've heard that the lines get really long. To our surprise, there was no one in line and the staff member had mentioned it was because they arrived a bit earlier and started helping customers before 8 AM. You have a choice of green sauce or red sauce for your Chilaquiles and can put chicken or other types of meats on your torta. That first bite was just amazing. I love Chilaquiles and I had really high hopes for this torta and man did it live up to the hype. If you're in Mexico City, please go check them out you will not be disappointed. We finished our torta and ended up buying more for the rest of our party that stayed at the Airbnb. Since we had already been in line they let us cut the line, which was already getting long and let us get our tortas. When I come back to Mexico City I will definitely be going back to this place, check them out. Also the tortas are only 60 pesos ~$4 USD!

Came here for breakfast on a Thursday morning. The line wasn't too bad when we got there around 830, we waited about 15m. But I would definitely agree with the previous reviews that getting here early is the move. The tortas here are as spectacular as advertised. The bread is super soft, the meats have a fantastic flavor. I'd recommend going for both rojo and verde as they both bring different, but equally delicious flavors. The tortilla chips give a nice crunch. Overall, you can't beat this level of filling and taste for under 50 pesos

Not positive I am reviewing the correct place but let's just go with it folks. Ignorant American am I right!?!?!? Now Jimi was a plus one here for a brunch and the food was served tapas/pupus style. Apparently it's a secret menu (what's it trying to hide) that changes. How fun! Those that have a pallet more sophisticated than a 3rd grader will enjoy this place. 5 stars

This food stand was on my husband's list of place to try. The line was about a 30 minutes wait. Torta 1- Green chilaquiles, milanesa, refried beans, sour cream, and cheese Torta 2- red chilaquiles, milanesa, refried beans, sour cream, and cheese Torta 3- milanesa and refried beans. The milanesa was cooked perfectly. My husband said torta 1 and torta 2 were really good but he preferred torta 2 because it was a bit spicy. Torta #3 was very basic but really good.

This is a different spin on chilaquiles!! Imagine Chilaquiles in a roll, lots of carb goodness. I was unsure about how I felt about the idea, but the super long line I stood on assured me I was in for a treat!! They have rojo or verde, both were delicious!! Make sure you get there early their hours and product are limited!

100000% worth the hype. We came right when they opened and there was a line of about 10 people. This only took about 15 minutes. Our meal ended up being the best thing we had while in Mexico City. I would definitely recommend the green sauce -- so flavorful and low spice. I dream about the next time I visit and can drop by!
