1st incident: They marked my order as “ready for pickup” when it wasn’t. I had to wait outside in the heat with my child for quite a while at this outdoor corner cafe with no seating before actually getting my food.
2nd incident: Saw the same lady from last time, she was rude. This time it was a delivery order. The delivery robot had been parked at the corner for over an hour waiting for the restaurant to give it my food, but they never did. Neither Uber nor I could get anyone to answer the phone, so I went in person and found the robot still sitting right in front of the restaurant.
When I tried to explain the situation, the employee immediately interrupted me defensively said in Spanish, “You never came to pick it up.” I told her it was supposed to be a delivery, not a pickup, and that the robot was literally right there in front of her. I even pointed to it. She looked over and said, it didn't wait at the usual spot, even though it was parked in front of the restaurant in eye view. Only after that did she grab my order and hand it to me — no apology, no offer to reheat it even though it had been sitting out for over an hour.
I accepted it, I just wanted our food.
Unfortunately when I got home, the order was wrong. It had onions and ham even though I’m vegetarian, and I ordered 3 pastelitos for me and my child and they were missing. I ended up having to throw it away since we can't eat it because of the ham.
This was a complete waste of money, time, and peace of mind. I gave this restaurant two chances, and both times they failed on service, communication, and accuracy. Very disappointing.
