Omg food is Fire 🔥 The wait staff was second to none very friendly and she took the time to describe every kind of taco they had. I got the steak and chicken fajitas they were fire 🔥. Lots of food if you go away hungry its your own fault.

I recently visited La Esquina Mexican Cafe in Jackson, Michigan, and had a wonderful dining experience. Here are some highlights from my visit: Pros: Prompt Service: I arrived just before lunch, and it wasn’t busy at all. The waitress was at my table very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Delicious Food: I ordered a make-your-own burrito and a lemonade drink. The burrito was large, delicious, and didn’t take long to arrive. The chips and salsa were also very tasty, and you can request up to two orders without being charged. Friendly Staff: The waitress was very nice and checked on me frequently to ensure everything was okay. Tips: Timing: Arriving before noon is a good idea if you prefer a quieter dining experience. Overall, La Esquina Mexican Cafe is an excellent place to eat. The combination of great food, prompt service, and friendly staff makes it a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming environment.

Wow!! Excellent in every way! Great decor, great food, and great service!! The menu is very unique and bit your typical Mexican restaurant. Get the house green sauce, so delicious!! And ask for Melissa's table! Thank you!

In these 2 years working in the area of Jackson, I've had the chance of visiting a few Mexican restaurants; however, my experience with La Esquina Mexican Cafe was unique and very pleasant. It's one of those places where you feel literally the good vibe. This amazing site has a service beyond expectations, along with food that honestly is out of this world!!!! I want to thank the server who did my experience awesomely unique. Folks .… Finally, we have a restaurant with pure Mexican flavor here in Jackson, Michigan. Thanks for the experience, and one more time is proven, there is no need to go to a fancy place to feel at home.

We stopped in on a Sunday night. No wait. The waitress was very nice, the food came out hot and tasty! Good flavor! I talk to another person who loves their breakfasts, so I think we will try that next!

I’ve been here on my own but also go with colleagues from time to time. I highly recommend this place! The food is great, the service is amazing. The staff is kind and I will continue to make this a place I go for food as I love it as a staple to our community. Another perk is getting their food off of DoorDash when I don’t feel like going out.

One of my favorite spots since moving to Jackson. The food is delicious. I've tried something different each time and am never disappointed. The staff is friendly and they make you feel welcome. The decorations are beautiful.

Walked in, greeted, told to sit wherever. There was one server, but she was moving with pace and energy. Very friendly and fast service. We both had a chimichanga and they were very hot when we received them. Flavor was definitely there. They have my favorite beans! So good!

Hands down the best Mexican food in Jackson and they also serve a delicious Brunch. I'm split on the no alcohol, keeps me out of trouble especially during lunch lol, but I do LOVE a good margarita! The food is excellent and I love the Frida Kahlo inspired decor. My go-to is the Chicken Tacos Doraditos extra salsa verde, right on the plate, no plastico. Try a Jamaica hibiscus water to wash it down. Very friendly family-owned business. Salud!

This place is a hidden gem. From the breakfast all day to their birria and homemade horchata, they are a very unique cafe. The waitresses are always attentive and kind and I always receive my food quick. The walls are covered in a beautiful painting of Frida and an inspiring quote on the wall, and it just really makes you feel welcomed and good. I can't recommend this place to enough people.

Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. It was also my last. I arrived shortly after the noon rush, and sat down. I received a warm greeting from the waitress. She was prompt to bring me chips/salsa and a soda. That is the only positive thing I can cite. After a length of time she eventually took my order - 3 cheese enchiladas, beans, rice. After about 30 /35 minutes it was served. The enchilada cheese was warm but uncooked/unmelted. The refried beans seemed more like refried bean soup. The rice seemed bitter. After tasting it I asked for my check. I showed her the uncooked enchiladas and explained that I was out of time. She promptly brought the check and offered a to go box. I paid, including a tip, and left. With no plans to return or recommend this restaurant to anyone else. Sincerely, Pastor Mike

Very clean! Quick service and most importantly really good food! The refried beans are different and have a mild red sauce in them which added to the flavor. The rice was a little overcooked but flavorful. I had the fajita taco salad with steak. Nice amount of meat. Really good all around. My husband had the chipotle chimichangas with ground beef and thoroughly enjoyed them! We will be back for sure

What a great restaurant that this area desperately needed. The service is very fast and friendly. The menu has a good variety. The chips and salsa are brought out to the table pretty quickly but i felt that the salsa wasnt very flavorful and had no heat at all. There is cholulua hot sauce on the table though which helps. We ordered guacamole and i also felt that was lacking salt and/or lemon/lime. Our entrees were fantastic though. My husband had the quesobirria tacos. Very delicious and tender meat. I had the torta campanchana and it had a good amount of meat and toppings. The spicy tomatillo salsa they serve with the torta was delicious. Lastly we shared a strawberry cheesecake chimichanga and flan for dessert. Both very good. Really great place, definitely worth checking out!

Clean, cute, good size menu. I would say if you like your food spicy then this is the place for you. It was too spicy for me. Even the guacamole was super spicy. I love some good Mexican food but it was just way too spicy for me. But the service was great and the place was clean.

When arriving we were promptly greeted with a friendly welcome and told to seat ourselves anywhere we would like. We were given chips and salsa and asked for our drink order (they serve Coke products and other bottled drinks) and given the menu. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ordered dinner. New menu items were listed on a laminated card on the table. We ordered from that- La Esquina Special and the Jalisco special. Our food was delivered quickly and piping hot. It was delicious!! The cheese sauce is fantastic! The portions are fair for the price. The restaurant was clean and Latin pop music played over the house system. A really bright and colorful mural is along one wall, a Frida Kahlo quote on another and the restaurant name on the other. We plan to return and hope to try breakfast another time.

I don't understand how this place wasn't packed! This food was phenomenal! I had been looking for authentic Mexican food for the last month, and so glad I found this place. The restaurant was clean, and had plenty of seating. The service was fast and friendly. I would, and will try to go here again before I leave town.

I love the food here it's so amazing!! Would come back any day for the loaded asada fries. Service is amazing. And the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing.

First time here and we went for breakfast. Bright and clean inside. Prompt and friendly service. Food was very good and authentic. Omelette full of veggies and the beans were very tasty! Will definitely return.

Finally good authentic Mexican food in Jackson. Service is great, friendly, I would definitely recommend. If you don't live in the area it definitely would be worth the drive. I like to try a different dish every time I go and have not been disappointed.

They are polite & make food fast, but my breakfast burrito had 0 flavor & mostly every single piece of bacon in it was fatty & chewy. The "salsa" they gave me was horrible, it tasted like it was cheap hot sauce. I'm sure they have other good food, but this is the second time I got the burrito & both times, especially this one, we're disappointing.

The Quesobirria Tacos and Esquites were both executed well, but I could have used a little more flavor punch. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful with a Frida Kahlo inspired ambiance.

This was the worst sinner I have had in any Mexican restaurant. I had the steak fajita with chips. NEVER AGAIN

I've been excited for La Esquina to open for quite some time now - I love Mexican food and it's close to my home. Easy to say this is definitely the best Mexican food in town and I'll be a frequent customer/supporter. The service was exceptional, everyone was very kind and the food is great. A++.
