La Fabrica Review - Cambridge - Boston - The Infatuation

"The live music at La Fabrica usually doesn’t get going until about 9pm on most nights. And that’s about when you should try to get here, because while the small plates and ceviche-heavy menu is just OK, when it’s combined with some fruity cocktails, Brazilian jazz, and the occasional Big Papi sighting (so we hear), then this place is probably more fun than any other place in Central Square (or at least, more fun than your apartment). If you want to go nuts, order one of the rice dishes that’s doused in rum and lit on fire, because you can’t tell us you’ve never been tempted to douse something in rum in light it on fire." - Dan Secatore

We ordered the Lomo Saltado, ceviche, one beef empanada, one chicken empanada, and the maduros (sweet plantains). The meat was tender and flavorful, the empanadas were satisfying, and the ceviche was decent—nothing extraordinary. But the real standout was the sweet plantains: incredibly soft, perfectly caramelized, and melt-in-your-mouth sweet. They truly stole the show. While the food was enjoyable, it’s definitely on the pricey side. That said, dining in comes with perks—you can enjoy live music at no extra cost and receive a $5 discount for access to the party room in the back. Drinks were around $14–$15. I had an espresso martini during dinner, which was spot-on in flavor. We followed it up with mules—not very strong, but just right to keep the energy up. Overall, a great spot to dance and enjoy a Latin night in Cambridge!

My friends surprised me by taking me to 'La Fabrica' to celebrate my birthday, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an amazing night. I was blown away by the incredible food—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. To make the night even more special, the waitstaff went the extra mile by singing a lively birthday song for me, making me feel truly celebrated. After our delicious meal, we stuck around to soak in the live music, which created the perfect energy for dancing and enjoying a few drinks with friends. The entertainment, ambiance, and outstanding service combined to make the whole evening truly magical. If you're looking for a spot that offers great food, fantastic music, and a fun, welcoming environment, I highly recommend 'La Fabrica.' It’s the kind of place that turns any night into a cherished memory!

Celebration for party of 9. Heard about La Fabrica Central with good Caribbean food and nightclub in the back of the restaurant. Off street parking. Walked in to restaurant and greeted by the maitre d, friendly, courteous and professional. Escorted us to our table which was a high table in the front of the restaurant in front of the bar and live band. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Music in the air and a bit loud but not intolerable. Restrooms were super clean and also spacious. Service was excellent by the waitstaff. Especially our waitress, Beverly who was awesome, attentive, polite, courteous and professional. Took our orders for drinks, appetizers and entrees. Great menu! Talking about a taste of the Caribbean, all our foods were prepared, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Authentic Caribbean. We ordered the ceviche mixto, tostones, chicharrón, yuca mofonguitos, churrasco, maduros, passion fruit salmon, croquetasde yuca, ropa vieja mofongo and pork. All served together in a timely manner. The drinks were Okay. They were a little inconsistent depending on who was making them. Music was excellent by the live band. Good way to work off all the food. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu and do some dancing💃🏻🕺🏻Or just eat! If you want to stay for the nightclub, it opens around 11:00 PM. A nice evening out or date night.

Came to this quaint Caribbean restaurant after a concert of mine got cancelled in Boston, and was looking forward to their diverse selection of Latin American foods. I had previously tried mofongo in the DR, and their shrimp mofongo was equally as delicious! Their ceviche was also to die for, as it tasted incredibly fresh and rich! Also shoutout to Alex, our amazing server, who made the evening very special for us!

Google
We got there about half an hour early but they were still able to seat us. Great service, very friendly staff. Overall, very very tasty food. The whole red snapper was perfectly crisped and the chicharron was crunchy where it needed to be without breaking your teeth, and melted in your mouth everywhere else. The sangria was the best I've had, sweet and tangy and bubbly. The only issue I had was with the sauces. It didn't feel like any of them belonged with the dishes they were served with. But that's minor thing in my book. The food was good enough to enjoy without sauce, too.

Google
The food and vibe was great. The staff were attentive and knew the menus real well. The music was appropriate as well. The menu was very diverse and creative and I can say the same for the drinks. If you are here in the later part in the evening there is a dancefloor in the back as well.

I stopped by last night (Saturday, 2/8/25, around 9 PM) on a scheduled snow emergency day, but that didn’t keep people away! The $10 cover charge was inexpensive, especially considering that an incredible ensemble, Manolo Mairena ‘Pura Vida,’ was performing. The live music created a fun atmosphere—some guests danced while others simply enjoyed the show. The margarita was both delicious and reasonably priced, and the appetizers were delicious—some of the best fried cheese I’ve ever had! Everything was fairly priced. An added bonus was the snow gently falling outside while live music played—it felt magical. The staff were attentive and engaged, ensuring everyone’s safety without being intrusive. They managed the crowd well, making sure important spaces remained clear. Overall, it was a wonderful night, and I highly recommend this spot. Thank you for the great experience!

Google
I went here for a birthday party a few weeks ago, i was very impressed with the food, it is fantastic!!, the music and atmosphere amazing, drinks omg!! Finally!!!, however after spending $1000+ i was expecting more consideration of your team, the waitress was really nice, there was a male staff very rude and spent the entire night making our stay very unpleasant moving us here and there, no matter where we went, we had a reservation and a table and after we had to move to the bar, at the end this affected the great service of the waitress, obviously since we were a group the tip was included but if was for me i wouldnt leave anything after how we were treated, very sad to see how 1 person destroy the effort of the entire team. Great place thought, i loved everything

Yelp
This is my partner's favorite place. Since I moved to the area, we have brought friends and family here, and often come on casual days to enjoy Latino music. I am surprised that their review ratings are relatively low. I get the impression that since they have a nightclub in the back, intoxicated people may be unfairly rating this place, which could have lowered their overall rating. In my experience, their foo/drink menu is excellent. The appetizers and cocktails are a bit pricey but delicious. It is definitely worth it. We especially enjoy going on live band nights when it's the perfect spot to dance. It can get crowded because the dance floor is very small, but we love the atmosphere. It's a great place to come with family, a group of friends, for a romantic date, or even for a night of solo dancing. And for me, that's the beauty of this restaurant. I've never been to their nightclub in the back, but I don't like it when it's happening because the place gets filled with drunk people. I prefer to stay in the restaurant, bar, or live music area and have a great time!

Yelp
Had holiday dinner here with friends - ambiance was nice, food was hit or miss, and service was good. For food, the hits were the empanadas, queso frito, lomo saltado, and Puerto Rican rice. The portion sizes are on the smaller side. The misses were sadly the chicken mofongo which had good chicken but it was served separately around the plantain mash, and the plantain mash was dry and small. The pork chicharron was not crispy and served as thick cubes with no sauce. The salmon was cooked nicely but was quite plain, I did not get much passionfruit flavor. Desserts were good and we all liked the coconut flan and coquito. Overall we had a nice meal, but given we didn't care for half the food and it's on the spendier side with smaller portions, I don't think I'd go out of my way to return.

Yelp
Food was not good at all. The server was not attentive. There's cute little lights all over the place to cover up the bad service and food. The wall art was very nice.

Yelp
La Fábrica is a trendy spot that serves flavorful dishes from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. It was very much a litt night with a live band, great food and good vibez. We stepped out of the party and chilled in the patio. The service was ok. I absolutely loved the wall art. Cool spot!

Yelp
I am appalled that anyone would be paying $30 to get into this place. It is sad how the times have changed! This place used to charge $15 and I had a great time. It is a tourist trap. Nobody should be spending this much for a place.

Yelp
I had a very deplorable experience with the bouncers at La Fabrica Central. They were incredibly disrespectful, aggressive, and unaccommodating. In addition to speaking disrespectfully towards people, they were pulling people out of the line to lecture them and threaten their access into the space. It was a gross example of abuse of power. Their aggressive tone and demeanor has ensured that I will never return to this establishment.

Yelp
Great service. I wasn't feeling good ate too much junk earlier but had a side salad and rice and beans and it was delish. Hubby had the bacalao app and churrasco steak and he loved it. Very delish. Music was great. Had a band. We had reservations but got here late. They sat us by sushi bar. Watching them make the beautiful platters was entertaining. They woman behind the counter really takes her time and makes a beautiful presentation every time. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I have to admit that the first time we tried La Fabrica Central it wasn't exactly the best experience. However, after giving the place a second try, we definitely are impressed on how different our experience was this time. First, the appetizers were amazing! In addition to the fried plantains chips that they put on the table once we sat, we ordered the steak and cheese empanada as well as the chicken empanada. Both were very delicious. Then, as the main entrée, my wife ordered the kan-kan pork chop (tomahawk cutlet) with 'mofongo' (mashed plantains) and it was absolutely delicious (you have to see the photo to see how gigantic the pork chop was). The pork chop was tender and really juicy...I, on the other hand, ordered the salmon in passion fruit sauce and it was amazingly delicious. It has been the best salmon I've ever tried!! To accompany my salmon I ordered a side of sweet plantains and a side of beans and both paired very well with the fish. For dessert, we ordered the ginger strawberry cheesecake. We were curious about such combination and, of course, a little scared to try, but I have to admit that it was a delicious surprise. I personally love ginger and even my wife who is not a big fan of it, found the favors well balanced and working very well together. Now, drink wise it was a little 50/50. Mine was very good; I got a spicy margarita that was tasty and nicely spicy, even adding some chili powder to the salt at the glass mouth. However, my wife ordered a Piña Colada and I have to say that it has been one of the worst we have ever have had. This is something I would highly recommend to improve, in particular because Piña Colada is our signature drink in PR. I don't want to forget about the service. Denise was our server for the night and she was spectacular!! She helped us to pick the best choices, even my drink, and she was very courteous and kind, often checking on how we were doing and bringing everything to our table perfectly. We even had the chance to exchange a quick chat at the end of our meal... To close, the ambience was pretty nice and comfortable. We had plenty of space on the table and everything is set in such a way that we were able to start some chatting with the next door table. Nothing everyone is looking for, but being me an extrovert, it worked out perfectly!!! In overall, great experience this second time and we encourage people to give a try to La Fábrica Central. Wishing all the staff many blessings!!

Yelp
Well, I am talking about my experience and it was ok. First of all, the food there is delicious but the service quality!! Omg, it was horrible; we arrived 40 minutes before and we let them know we were early but we were waiting for a friend, they let us sit at the table while we were waiting for our friend (who was coming at the original reservation time). Nevertheless, we were ordering drinks and appetizers and our waitress told us when my friend was coming because the table was reservation just one hour and a half, that it didn't matter if we made the reservation at 7 pm because we came early. I asked the front desk if the time was gonna change because we came early and he answered me NO! After that, the waitress was very careless on my table, even while my friend(birthday person btw) was there. We spent more than 200 Dollars and minutes before we closed the bill, we ordered beers and she charged us the tab and 5 seconds after, she told us we have a reservation already and telling us as is to tell us to get out when she had just brought us our last drinks. La fabrica needs to do a better job when it comes to training and hiring employees because that should've never happened and without those interactions, it would've been a 5/5.

Yelp
Excellent service and amazing food . Ambiance is nice! made reservations for 5pm. Was quiet , no live music when we arrived. Bar area is very cute !!! Seating was crowded I would not recommend larger parties over 6. All the drinks were a perfect balance of strong and delicious! Was filled with more ice then I would . Haha but you can't have it all! All the food tasted very authentic! I can't wait to come back !

Yelp
This establishment is not the most well organized. As a matter of fact, it is pretty bad. There was an event that I went to. About 200 people in attendance and there was only ONE bartender. We paid for a table which is VIP. There was no hostess that came to the table to ask what we wanted or anything like that. So, before people react wrongly. When you purchase a table/section, these things come with a certain convenience. I don't want to go to the bar and wait 30 mins because there is only one bartender. So why am I walking through the establishment looking and searching for someone to take care of us. Customer service makes the establishment and the customer service was poor, to say the least. Additionally, they charged a gratuity fee. What am I showing gratitude for? Nothing was done!

Yelp
Rib eye steaks were delicious Service was great Live music was fun House passionfruit mojito - yum!

Yelp
I came to La Fábrica two days in a row--once for a Saturday dinner and the following day for brunch. The dinner experience was really pleasant and I've summarized the meal below: -Beef empanadas: Slightly sweet, which is unusual for a savory empanada, but flavorful. -Queso frito: This was pretty good, but nothing super exciting. -Samaná pescado frito: Several people had the whole fish dish and really enjoyed it but I can't comment due to being #allergic. -Ropa vieja mofongo: You should order this! -Mofongo with chicken: Was a nice consistency. The chicken was chicharron-style on the outside and some of the pieces were super crunchy, which I didn't love. Then the next afternoon, I came as part of a day party and there were tons of people there. This visit was a total disaster, and it seemed they were super understaffed for the number of people attending the party. By the time I arrived (people were seated at tables but things were very fluid since it was a day party), several of my friends who had arrived at the start of the event had received dishes and drinks. This was good for them because once we were able to flag down someone to take an order for the rest of the group (which took ~20m to to do), it was nearly an hour before the first set of drinks came out. It was also about 40 minutes and we still had not gotten any water glasses, so several of us went inside to the bar to get water and returned to our outdoor table. We also ordered some appetizers to share, and after more than an hour of waiting, we found the waitress to remind her. She said she had sent the order to the kitchen and that the food was coming. Mind you, the half of our party that arrived when I did hadn't had anything to eat yet, and even the apps that had come out quickly the previous night never seemed to materialize. I went to find the waitress again to inquire about the food, and she said that they were very busy but the food was on its way. Well, none of those appetizers ever showed up. Ever. And two of the drinks that the group ordered, including one of mine, never materialized either. After paying (and checking the bill to ensure we were not charged for food that never came), we actually ended up leaving the party and going down the street to Naco Taco, which served quickly. We were super hangry and the experience was such a far cry from what I had had just the previous night. I felt badly for the poor server, who was running from place to place and clearly overloaded due to understaffing. Based on these two visits, I would never come to La Fábrica again for a daytime event or party. We had a lovely dinner the previous day, though, so I'll stick to dinner time.

Yelp
This was my first time here for dinner. We were a party of five and got seated at a pretty small table but the service and food/drinks were amazing. The group got: Shrimp mofongo, ropa vieja mofongo, pork chicharrón mofongo, and beef pastelon. All of it was great but I think the best/most of your money is the ropa vieja mofongo and the beef pastelon. For drinks, we got mango margarita, passion fruit mojito, coconut mojito, and coquito. Def recommend all of those drinks. Can't go wrong with any of the drinks on the menu. For dessert, we ordered the flan and tres leches. Both were so good I couldn't choose a favorite. The flan does have coconut shaving on it which added a nice touch.
google avatar

Madow N.

Yelp
The menu sounds really cool but I'm not sure the execution is quite there. The steak empanadas looked like chicken and the plantain rolls were way too sweet; it was like eating dessert. The queso frito didn't taste or feel like cheese. The service was sub par. You're paying premium prices for food, so you'd expect service to match. The music was good, both live and not...enjoyed it. The dance floor was packed! And none of the customers were wearing masks. Seems incredibly irresponsible when covid is on the rise. I opted for the patio - you can hear the music from there very well. But had to put up with people smoking there. Got lucky and found street parking on Mass Ave. on a Friday night.

Yelp
I had an absolutely amazing time here celebrating my birthday!! Many thanks to the owner, Dennis, who made us feel so welcome. The food, live music, and drinks were awesome. I was only in town for one night to visit my sister and I'm SO glad we chose La Fabrica to celebrate! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Boston.

Nathan S.

Yelp
Was here for the nightlife and if you're not latino or Palestinian you're not getting in. Don't wear nice watches because in line people will ask you what time it is and the bouncers will warn you to be careful. Not the place to be. Unsettling feeling.
google avatar

Yamila D.

Yelp
The food here was really good and the service just as good or maybe even better. My sister in law made reservations because she had great reviews from her co workers. I must say Thank you to those co-workers of hers. This place did not disappoint. That passion fruit mojito is a must try. They even put a popsicle inside of it for that extra flare. The ceviche and empanadas were FIRE (like my kids say). I was told that means really really good. 4 of us ordered lomo saltado and I ordered the chicken with mofongo. I wasn't to impressed with the chicken but the mofongo was good. As for everyone else at the table they loved their meal. I had a piece of the steak and it was really juicy. Now for dessert (yes we made room for dessert). The bread pudding was so freaking good. I heard the pastry chef makes everything fresh daily. They had a guava tart that everyone else liked, but it was too tarty for me. Now for the service. I can't say anything but good things. They were constantly checking on us to make sure that we were okay. Even the owner came over to the table to check on us. As for the Hostess ( we didn't get her name) she should be their top employee. She checked on us all the time, stopped by to talk to us just to see what we were up to. Employees that those are hard to find. She just want to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. 11/10

Yelp
This place is going down on its consistency and quality went there with friend for dinner on Thursday night , the person who came after we wore by the host stand for like 6 min didn't even speak or understand English ,waitresses didn't tell us about the missing items on menu till I order it ( no passion fruit pure , no platanos sushi and had no idea what was inside of the salad I ordered ( it's clear the management there is zero )
google avatar

Alyssa G.

Yelp
Definitely a party atmosphere even during dinner time. The drinks and the food were good but it does feel like you are eating while in a nightclub so keep that in mind. The live bad was SO amazing and really kept the energy up in the room.
google avatar

Nat M.

Yelp
Joyful place & tasty food. Very Nice music. I only recommend coat rack for the main room by the door area.
google avatar

Luke M.

Yelp
We got a few different plates which were all solid, but for the price it was not a good deal at all. I got the chicken mofongo which was quite bland. The chicken pieces were great tho. The servers were nice and the restaurant looks cool on the inside, but for the price it is not worth it.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
La Fabrica is a great place to go if you want to wait in an extremely long line and get hit on by dusty bouncers.
google avatar

Shawn W.

Yelp
Loved this place for the live Cuban music & the amazing food & drinks! The Latin sushi rolls were fantastic. And every drink they made was superb. The club part in the back is definitely for the younger club crowd. I'm glad there is a place for the young crowd to go and listen to Latin music and hear some Spanish. All around...this is a great place to go to listen to some great music and try some fantastic food. The service was excellent, too!
google avatar

Sfo B.

Yelp
La Fabrica is one of my favorites for Spanish Caribbean cuisine in Boston. The food are always good in my experience over the years. I brought friends from Europe or Asia here, and they liked the food and the drinks, especially the cocktails. They have nice live music during the weekends, and people line up for the night events.
google avatar

Tuli S.

Yelp
Love the food here! Everything I've had is perfectly cooked and full of flavor. FYI they add automatic gratuity regardless of your party size. We tipped on top of the 20% because we didn't check the receipt and the payment prompt asks for a tip. Kinda annoying that no one said anything but our fault for not looking. I haven't seen other restaurants do this unless there are over 6 people. Fave items are the fried cheese with guava, chicarron, ceviche, Cuban sandwich, yucca, and tostones!
google avatar

Mystery M.

Yelp
Due to the live band, music and vibes are great. Decent drinks and service is acceptable. Security is worst though. Very judgmental and always on a power trip. Miserable people who hate their job run the door so they are more than happy to ruin your night with poor attitudes and look for any reason to deny entry. White girl with curly hair and glasses may be racist beware.

T L.

Yelp
(Club review) the place is beautiful but 80% of the bouncers act like drill sergeants. They need to be reminded that they're security for belligerent people, not the secret service. They seem to have some weird superiority complex. Also kind of ridiculous how the first tip amount to choose is 25%, then 20, then 18. seems like a sneaky way of getting drunk people to tip more than they want to. Also $30 (cash only) cover is absolutely insane
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Bouncers are trash!! We had just gotten in the LONG line with a seltzer and when he came by, he said they wouldn't let us in with a seltzer. NO PROBLEM. We weren't trying to take in the club. The line was half a block long! Immediately threw it away and got back in line, they came back down the line and singled us out, saying we weren't allowed; that we were wasting our time. PATHETIC. And $30 cash cover TF!? Don't waste your time here or allow these mall cops to speak to you in ANY way. TF outta here! Never going back.

Yelp
My boyfriend & I wanted to do something fun on a Friday night, and this spot did NOT disappoint. We came for the live music.... but we also came the night of a baddie snow storm hurricane, so the band cancelled :,( Although I didn't get to salsa, this place was still DYNAMITE. The service was great-- our waitress (shoutout Ellie) was so attentive and kind. We got mojitos to start & switched to some rose w/ dinner. The mojitos were very sweet, but still very good (& aesthetically pleasing). The wine was dry & light and a perfect match for the volcano roll, which I got as my entree. There was some sorta crab salad on top of my roll and it was delicious. I didn't finish it so I ~tried to bring the left overs home. Unfortunately, I forgot the left over bag at a bar we went to after dinn... & I was so upset I almost teared up in the Uber when I realized I couldn't finish my volcano roll for lunch the next day. So, if that doesn't tell u that this place slaps, idk what will. Def going back when they have live music to bust a move on the dance floor!
google avatar

Shanta F.

Yelp
As a student attending Harvard from California, when I searched Puerto Rican restaurants, I am so glad Lá Fábrica was the top choice. From the drinks, food and amazing band, I felt not only close to my culture, but could share that experience with my peers. I'm coming back and will be dancing and enjoying La Fábrica soon!
google avatar

Keiddy C.

Yelp
(Only went to the restaurant) Atmosphere and decor was very nice! I had the shrimp mofongo and passion fruit mojito and both were amazing. The portion was a perfect size and our server was very nice and attentive. We also got the tres leches for dessert which was the perfect texture and flavor. As a Caribbean - I approve!
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
This place could be nice but the bouncers are awful. They're unreasonable and make up reasons to keep people out. Our experience getting in was very unpleasant. I do NOT recommend.
google avatar

Dee C.

Yelp
This place is lit. They have 2 separate rooms. The bar area and a club in the way back. I think it's crazy to have a door price for the bar area. But whatever makes you money right? I met one female bar tender with the crappiest attitude. But the security staff makes this place fun to be at. Who knew a bunch of men standing outside would be more entertaining then what was going on inside. I'll def visit again.
google avatar

Melanie K.

Yelp
Went here for dinner for a friend's birthday. She was really looking forward to it. There were 6 of us. The food was good and served VERY quickly. In fact my husband and I were 7 minutes late and the rest of the party was a bit early. They made the early folks order and they had their food before we arrived at 7:37, for a 7:30 reservation. Which meant they were almost done eating before our food arrived. The drinks were a bit slow. the server did not have change for a $100 bill. That was ok, we worked it out among ourselves. Once the bill was done and we were enjoying catching up with our friend, we were asked to leave 2x because they needed the table. There appeared to be other available tables? But our group was middle aged and two people in their 60s-- out of the target demographic of the club. Other younger parties were not moved out as quickly-- maybe they were drinking more? I felt like the goal was to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Definitely no interest in returning.
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
I've been here twice only for their dance floor in the back. Fare warning that entry is through cash only so be prepared unless you're willing to go to the nearby convenience store for their ATM. Music has been great with a full bar to make any drink of your choice. Parking can be tough so uber has been my preferred mode of transport here. Had a blast each visit here and would definitely come again.
google avatar

Samuel A.

Yelp
Forgettable food. Appetizers Yucca croquettes cheese potato balls are simple plain on its own, best with sauce on side. Empanadas (beef, chicken, vegetarian) are crispy, best with sauce on side. Crab tostones are ok, ceviche seafood is ok, natural fresh tasting with no sauce on side. Flavor could be more interesting without need for sauce on side.
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night. There was a large crowd waiting to get in. My friends and I ordered a wide range of food and drinks - everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed the mofongo (we ordered the veggie). The empanadas were also fantastic. My only complaint is that we wanted to check out the back room area after dinner and they said it would be a $20 cover (discount from $25), even though we already spent a decent amount on dinner.
google avatar

Leena P.

Yelp
Very cute vibe for date night, can get packed so call to make reservations if you can. I always start off with the beef empanadas which are tasty but as for the ceviche, I didn't really like the texture of the shrimp so I personally wouldn't recommend. My first time trying Paella and La fabrica hands down takes the crown. Soo much flavor and very generous portion sizes. The drinks are a little on the pricy side but overall good place for dinner.

Yelp
Fun time and beautiful restaurant. They had live music on a Thursday night around 9:30pm. I had the fried red snapper, could use more flavor. The lomo saltado was delicious. The flan with coconut bits is to die for! I like that this restaurant has many options to pick from such as sushi, steak, fish, and chicken. The server was great and attentive to my needs. Street parking available but could be tough to find on a weekend.

Yelp
Scam artists. For some context, this place has two sections, the front bar ($10 cover) and the back area (nightclub, $25 cover). Reserved a table at the night club section (the back). We showed up and we're told that we were required to each pay a $20 cover fee, on top of paying for bottle service. We were told that it was discounted from $30 which is the usual fee, even though there were signs everywhere staying that the cover is $25. This was strike 1. Lying to your customers to their face. Strike 2: Never in my life have I been asked for a cover fee on top of payment for bottle service at any night club. Clearly anxious to squeeze every penny out of you. We had asked several times what the price would be for bottle service and they gave us a flaky "it depends" answer. Strike 3: Once they explained that we had to pay cover on top of bottle service, we decided we no longer wanted the table. Reasonably, frustrated and disappointed that this information was withheld from us conveniently at the time we made the reservation. So we asked to pay cover for the front section (the bar). The bouncer proceeded to tell us we needed to go back outside and wait in line for another hour because we had the "audacity" to cancel the table. We will never set foot in this establishment again. It's quite unfortunate because their dinner menu is quite nice, but these sleazy tactics are enough to make me sick and never want to do business with them again. Advice to management: pick better people to run your Latin night. You're running your business to the ground by doing what you're doing. Experiences like the above leave a sour taste in your customers mouth. Customers are smart and well connected, and news of experiences like this one will spread and turn people off.

Yelp
Amazing food here. So amazing. We ordered the queso frito and chicharron and it was absolutely amazing. The queso frito came with a sweet sauce. So good. The chicharron and empanadas came with cilantro like sauce I believe. The beef empanadas were delicious and comes in an order of 2. The passion fruit margarita here is delicious along with the passion fruit mojito. This restaurant also has a nightclub in the back of the restaurant. When we arrived around 930pm there was a huge line. People were yelling at us to get in line when we had a reservation. They thought we were trying to cut the line. So crazy. We made a reservation for 5, I asked the hostess outside if we can add one more person to make 6 for our table and she immediately was very rude and said no. We made a rez for 5 it's 5, cannot add. However when we finally got in after getting carded and searched. The hostess inside told us our table is not ready yet since there are people still there and it should be ready in 10 mins. 30 mins went by, the hostess comes over and says sorry we have a lounge area for you to wait and order drinks your table is still not ready. We go there and someone left their to go food in the corner. The waitress came over with plates but we were confused because we were told to order drinks there and wait? Isaura, one of the hostess there was very kind. She allowed me to add an additional person to my reservation. We had reservations at 10p. Arrived at 935p. Did not get seated until 1045/1050pm. Kitchen was also closing in 20 mins. So we had to rush to order. Such a frustrating dining experience. You can also pay $20 to your waitress to gain entrance to the nightclub in the back. I would do that as soon as you sit down to ensure you can get in since they do cap it. However it is cash only. So bring some if you plan on enjoying the nightclub after your meal.

Yelp
Other than the cover charge of $20, I really enjoyed dancing here! The dance floor can get quite crowded so I recommend finding a spot for you and your friends. The live music is great for a night out on a Saturday night! The drinks were good! I haven't tried the food though

Yelp
WOW! Overall, very impressed. I chose La Fabrica to hold a graduation celebration for my 2 sons. We were a party of 12, and everyone raved about the food and the service. Very authentic, promptly served, beautiful platings. Two things holding back the 5-star rating. First, the tables are very small. Second, the price of the sangria pitcher was about $100. And it wasn't a pitcher, per se. It was a bottle of pre-mixed sangria (which is fine) that came with a bottle of cheap "champagne" (the kind you would pay $4.99 for), and the waitress had to "mix" the two into the glasses. She said each "pitcher" serves 5 people...which would be ridiculous at $20 per sangria glass, when cocktails were $12-15 each. But...despite the price and presentation...it was delicious. And we ordered 3. LOL. Again, we all had a fantastic time. The staff was great. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Really tasty cocktails! We sat outside which was great because we didn't need to wait in line to get inside where there was music playing but we're able to enjoy it all the same. Latin sushi was something I'd never had before and was very pleasantly surprised. I was worried the chicken chicharron would be a bit dry just from other places I've had it, but it was great and came with a mayo-ketchup that was great for dipping. But the best was the sorullitos, which were these Gouda sticks dipped in corn meal and fried. I'll definitely go back and try and get inside to the club that opened up later in the evening!

Yelp
I had a horrible experience this past weekend. I stopped going to this place because of another horrible experience years ago and this place has not change. My cousin from Philadelphia heard from a bartender that this was a nice place to go to so him being from out of town I pick him up and we went. We're standing in line just the two of us shivering freezing from the cold waiting to get in. My cousins asked the spanish bouncer about the lounge. When we look in it happens to be predominately spanish or latin people in there from what we can see. We can hear latin music playing. We happen to be two African Americans. We're well dressed like everyone else. I happen to like flashy things, like coats with feathers and gold jewelry but nothing too over the top. I work hard for my money and happened to be highly successful in my law-abiding career. I like to wear flashy things sometimes I have the money to pay for it so I do. So, after my cousin asked that question the bouncer immediately asked me how much I had to drink. I respond we haven't had anything to drink yet and this is our first stop. Which was true. First take note, we said nothing rude, wasn't acting out of control, why was so much attention paid to us? The other African American bouncer responds after that and says, I have been doing this a long time you had something to drink. I said no I didn't, and my cousin said I said what does that matter anyway. People usually drink or pregame before they go out anyways as long as you're not out of control you get into any place you want to go. It shouldn't matter if you were drinking or not before as long as you're not out of control. That same bouncer then asks did I smoke something. I respond no I didn't. He then says you guys aren't getting in. We did absolutely nothing to warrant this treatment. I don't want to be anywhere where I'm not wanted so I tell my cousin lets go as he tries to protest it. He was shocked and in disbelief. This was a clear case of racial profiling and discrimination. I think it's terrible to look at a person's skin color and how there dressed and judge them poorly. It hurts too that the people that profiled us were people of color. I don't understand how you can treat your own people like that. It's clear that this establishment wants a certain type of color and crowd in there. If I was you, I would not support La Fabrica Central. There racists and discriminatory towards certain groups of people. Which is horrible anywhere but especially in a town like Cambridge, MA where all types of diversity are everywhere. As I mentioned this was not the first time, I had a horrible experience here. When I was younger, I went here when it was called Naga. That time for my jacket, I wore a black polo jacket which I thought was cool. It cost a lot of money for me at the time I'm going to wear it. Well, I got in that time but the bouncers followed me around the club the whole time. Even into the bathroom. I wound up leaving right after that because that made me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't understand why at first, I was only 24. Now at 41 having had a lot more experiences in life I now understand why. Because I was black and wearing a black hoody for my jacket. They most likely thought I was trying to sell drugs or something. I have never done anything like that in my life. I'm a college graduate with a great career making a great salary. It's sad that whoever owns this place is continuing to let this type of behavior continue. I won't be back here ever again and If I was you, I wouldn't support them either. I would boycott this place for all minorities and people that have had these types of horrible experiences of racial profiling and racism.

Yelp
The Summary: Atmosphere - 5/5 Neighborhood - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Drinks - 5/5 Inclusivity - 5/5 Experience - 5/5 The Story: This restaurant is a must-see if you're in the area! So happy I could come back and have the Pastelon again, this time paired with a Passion Fruit Margarita. My food was exceptional, and we loved our drinks so much we got another round. La Fabrica has a wonderful outdoor patio space that spaces our customers well, so my small group and I felt comfortable & safe the whole time. The restaurant also had heating lamps, a necessity as the weather changes in Boston! Was a bit concerned when seeing so many people dining inside though. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made perfect recommendations for our group to try. Hoping I can come back soon!

Yelp
La Fabrica is legit! This seldom happens but....I thoroughly enjoyed a meal in or around Central Square. As far as food goes, this Cuban Dominican Puerto Rican mashup hits all the right spots. The food is authentic and simply delicious. Churrasco and Gouda empanada with chimichurri? I'll take two. An actual flaming bowl of seafood rice? Sign me up please. Even the dining space itself is exceptional. As great as the food was, my experience was not all fairies and rainbows. The service on this day was not exactly....ok I'll be honest...it was horrible. From the food wait times, to having to remind the server of certain simple requests over and over. It was almost egregious at times. Sorry for the roller coaster review, but Cambridge, there is hope still! For the food alone, La fabrica is a winner. Service does drag this down though. Settling at a 3.

Yelp
Great food & drinks! My mom loved her birthday dinner here. In our party of 4, there honestly wasn't anything we tried that we didn't enjoy.
