Ricardo Temiño

"If you’re keen to explore the more personal side of chef Ricardo Temiño’s cooking, this offshoot of the La Fábrica restaurant, but with the same entrance, is a space with its own individual character where the aim is to explore the rich culinary culture of Burgos in more depth. The experience begins with appetisers in front of the reception area, where you’ll find the extensive wine cellar, before heading into the kitchen (accompanied by the chef) to see how they age lamb, before moving on to the modern dining room with its semi-open kitchen. Here, the more concept-based, market-inspired cooking is showcased on a single tasting menu called Camino, inspired by the chef and his family’s life journey (there are references to his honeymoon, his grandmother, the early days of the La Fábrica restaurant etc), as well to as the extensive research he has carried out into different aspects of the province’s history (wool, fish, El Cid, the Camino de Santiago etc). An address that is well worth getting to know!" - Michelin Inspector

La Fábrica

"Chef Ricardo Temiño’s restaurant, which has now moved to the centre of Burgos (next to the San Juan civic centre), boasts an elegantly minimalist interior which provides the backdrop for high-quality contemporary cuisine teeming with flavour and inspired by traditional and international recipes. The à la carte includes an option to order small plates and dishes for sharing, enabling guests to discover many different dishes. An “executive”-style menu is also available." - Michelin Inspector

The food was very good although not distinctive. I’m not sure I will remember the dishes in a few weeks. The setting was perfect. But, the service model is flawed. My waiter was spread too thin, didn’t take my desert order, and never checked back to see if I was satisfied with my meal or his recommendations. That said, the experience overall was nice. I would go again.

Amazing Experience! We tried the tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. Food is great we love every dish except for the lamb because I prefer lamb chops. Service was top notch. They know what they are doing and you don’t have to ask they are very attentive. My husband and I are very happy with the experience.

We came for lunch. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambiance and the staff was very attentive and English speaking. The food was excellent and well presented. Very enjoyable and highly recommended. Booking is essential, we were lucky to slip in on short notice. Will certainly come back. The set lunch is a steal!!!

Absolutely delicious food and terrific service in a beautiful, yet simple and sophisticated setting. Would definitely return. This is a 10 star restaurant at very reasonable prices given their superior quality.

This restaurant is about experience, and based on that, I will explain my ratings: Food: 4/5: food was good, plenty and well served. What I saw was good enough to want it to eat it and savour it. Desserts were extremely sweet and the menu did not offer anything gluten or dairy free. Beverages: 5 Service: 3/5: despite the waitress and her assistant were cordial and attentive, we noticed that the restaurant discriminate the bread!!!! based on what you order. So, if you order the daily menu, you get only a bun. If one orders à la carte, the service comes with a different tray of bread (unlimited) and upscale extra virgin olive oil. I believe this small detail should be fixed and not continue discriminating based on what a patron orders. Location: 5 close to downtown but yet far enough to not feel the rush of tourists.

Best Restaurant in Burgos. Must make a detour for lunch if you are visiting the Rioja Region in Spain.
