"Fabien, in the kitchen, and Hélène, front of house, have combined their two first names and come up with La Falène Bleue, where life is good and so is the food. Everything is both simple and delightful, from the carefully presented dishes (featuring ingredients sourced entirely from local producers) to the interior, decorated with paintings and vintage objects. This restaurant in the small village of Lannepax is surrounded by vineyards and has a pleasant terrace to the rear. The lunch set menu changes weekly and is good value for money." - Michelin Inspector
We had the 3 course lunch menu for 25 euros and it was fantastic! The meal was one of the nicest we had in our month in France and definitely an incredible value at that price point. From the amuse bouche to the second dessert (which we had to take away because we had no room left), the whole meal was absolutely delicious. The server was a young man who did a phenomenal job. In our opinion, this restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star.

This is a very personal review and may contrast significantly with others.
Service was attentive and excellent.
Lovely ambiance and décor.
Expensive for what you get. Either set menu for 40€ or starter and main for 39€.
Interesting first amuse bouche of a selection and then an extra one. Luckily I like fish. The second one lacked seasoning.
We had two different starters, the egg with chlorophyll was bland and flat and not saved by seasoning. The mackerel in contrast had flavours from bland to hot and bitter from pickled. The fritters were spongy and bland. A riot of pickled flavours that just didn't work for me.
The sea bass main seemed to be a repeat of the egg starter. Same green chlorophyll wrap on the fish with a bland sauce.
The fillet minion with chorizo was tasty and perfectly cooked but came just with a very plain celery accompanimen and just.
They kept the bread coming which was necessary.
The pear meringue was the star of the show.
We were a group of four and all thought it over priced and lacking in flavour. Maybe it was our palates but we left disappointedThis is a very personal review and may contrast significantly with others.

There was nothing to complain about per se as it was all perfectly cooked and well presented. cooked and well presented.

We have been eating at this restaurant for more than 30 years and it's one of our favourites. We were not disappointed by the lunch we enjoyed with the new owners.
The food was delicious

As always the very best service and food in a wonderful garden setting. French flair with a light asiatique twist. Not to be missed when in the Gers.

Delicious and beautifully presented 3 course menu du jour, with amuse bouche and petit fours. 17 euros. Delightful courtyard setting which was pleasantly cool on a very hot day. Lovely friendly and professional service as well. Already talking about our next visit.

We had a delicious lunch, which was great value. Beautiful stylish interior and airy sheltered outside area. Clean and hygienic. Staff efficient and attentive. We will definitely go again based on this excellent experience.
