My husband and I decided to go out for lunch and we wanted to try a new place. As soon as we first walked in we stood there waiting for someone to greet us. The bartender came to the hostess station, looked at us and proceeded to walk away without acknowledging us. This was a clue we should not have come to this restaurant. A few minutes later I assume it was the manager yelled out someone will be right with you. She then proceeded to get some menus and bring us to our table. Did not say your waiter or waitress would be with you. Honestly, I thought it was the bartender since we were seated in the bar area and the bartender told us she would bring us water and bread. The drink menu was disgustingly sticky like it had not been washed. Then another woman came over to the table and said her name was Katie and apologized for the wait. She brought the waters and bread but did not ask if we would like anything to drink. She was about to walk off but I spoke up and said can we put a drink order in. She apologized again and proceeded to tell us she has been running around. Then we waited and waited and still no drinks. The bartender was behind the bar in her own little world. My husband and I decided to leave. While we were packing up, another couple was seated beside us. Before they could sit Katie said to them that she wasn’t sure if the table had been wiped down. If this was a Bar Rescue recon this restaurant failed. They lost two customers and I will be sure to spread the word. Word of mouth is a lot for a business.

Loved it here. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The beer and alcohol is also fairly priced. Friendly staff who are on point. The menu has some really nice options. I added pictures of my order, which was Chicken Saltimbocca. Highly recommend it.

Google
The atmosphere was great. Not too loud, not too quiet. The food was actually good, but for the price I expected more. For a $30 seafood bowl, it was tiny and slightly overcooked. The Bolognese sauce was sour. The wait staff was great, but the silverware had large, crusty stains on them. The staff cleaned them right away but, again, for the price one would expect clean dishes every time.

Veal Milanese wasn’t great. Tasted frozen and then burnt. Fettuccine Alfredo was unmemorable. The stuffed quahog was delicious. Great food and beverage prices. I want to try the shrimp Mozambique next time I go or maybe the Portuguese steak.

11.1.24 ADDITION: Ordered the chicken parm from DoorDash and it did not disappoint outside of the restaurant either! DELICIOUS! My mom and I love this restaurant. When we go out this is always a top choice for us. The chicken parm is the best. Today I had the pot roast because the last time we went my mom had it and I was jealous! Just as good as hers, but I do wish there were carrots today! So yummy! Our server, Charlene was wonderful and recommended a dessert she made for is herself! The coffee was REALLY good! The hostess is always fantastic, too. I work in a restaurant. And I know how hard this work is. Thank you La Familia for making dining look easy and taste great!

I stay in the area, so I have been meaning to check the place out for lunch. So yesterday, I finally took my family there. The experience started bad for the go. I went in to ask if they had a wait time. I stood there for a good 10 minutes and no one came over. Went to my car and my wife went in and she was told that it was going to be a 15 minute wait and the person left. We waited upfront and got seated after about 20 minutes. The serve that was serving us was very rude and looked super uninterested. The food was okay and the place was clean. However, the service was just unfriendly and uncomfortable. I am not one to read into situations but it felt like we were not wanted there. We will not be going back.

Why in the fudge would any civilized person put cinnamon on a chocolate cake? Was this corporate's decision, trying too hard? It's awful, it ruined a perfectly good piece of cake. Please for the love of chocolate stop, just stop. Staff, and the pasta were great, everything else was great.

Visited La Familia for the first time with a friend. It wasn’t overly busy for a Friday night and we were sat quickly. We waited a while to be greeted by the waitress for a drink order. The Clam chowders and pumpkin ravioli special were good, the food came out hot which was refreshing. Alfredo sauce tasted a bit off. Overall, thought the waitress could have been more attentive. We sat for a while needing more water and wanting to order more drinks but she never came back after our meals were served until we were done and ready for the check.

Yelp
La Familia is definitely a neighborhood gem. The portions are generous and food was delicious. We had their Portuguese kale soup and stuffed potato skins for our appetizer. For dinner I had one of their special which is eggplant and veal parmesan which comes with pasta and a side salad. My family ordered chicken frances (which is their version of chicken piccata), fettuccini bolognese, and penne sorrentino. Everyone loved their dinner. For dessert we shared an order of their cannolis. It was a fantastic dinner.

Yelp
Kerri is not just another bartender. She makes La Familia a destination. She has a great personality and makes you always feel welcome

Yelp
The food is great. The service is not good. This is our 4th visit with in the past yr. And the service is always awful. Tonight the restaurant was half empty and we still had awful service. Maybe because the manager who doubles as the hostess is less than friendly and even less than helpful.

Conrad L.

Yelp
I ventured here for lunch because I was curious about their expansive Lunch Menu. Wow! Lunch prices and ample portions make this a mainstay moving forward. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.

Yelp
Took my wonderful girlfriend for her birthday. The food was great our server Keri was excellent and the food was fantastic and we had very romantic seating

Yelp
If you don't know what real Italian food is supposed to taste like then this is the place for you.

Yelp
We booked this restaurant to celebrate my sons 25th birthday. When I made the reservation under the special request I wrote that it was a birthday celebration. When we arrived I told the waiter that it was his birthday and asked for them to bring him his favorite dessert so we could celebrate. They never brought it out and that was a big disappointment. Drinks: took a very long time to get to our table. But over all tasted good. While waiting for our drinks the waiter didn't come to our table at all to ask if we wanted anything like an appetizer. They gave us water to start and forgot to pour water for 2 out of the 6 people on the table. Appetizers: We each got a different appetizer and mine was the quahog it tasted like pure stuffing(bread) the worst I've ever had. Entrée: Everyone was okay with their entrees besides the mashed potatoes (no flavor just sweet) Over all experience. We will probably never return. The Waiter should check on their table more often and Smile more. Everyone in our party was saying " He must of be having a bad day. "

Yelp
Best service since COVID! Despite the lacking exterior, the inside ambiance set the tone for our great experience. We tried drinks (including mocktails), appetizers, entrees and saved room for dessert. All were excellent. I had the Seared Scallop Genovese and it was well balanced. They made changes to the food easily and took allergies seriously. Overall, one of the best restaurants we have tried in the area and would definitely recommend!

Brian C.

Yelp
Our experience was disappointing. Apparently the restaurant didn't have a bar staff so it took 45 minutes to receive a drink. Our entrees came out before our drinks. Our server apologized about a dozen times, but the only thing we were comped on was dessert - which we didn't even want. The only reason we got it because they told us it was free. Our server also said that drinks would be comped, but they were not. The food was okay but we won't be back here again.

Yelp
My first visit here was a few weeks ago. Lots of parking out back. A few spaces up front. I went at lunchtime. Sat at the bar. Hooks on the underside of the bar to hang your purse. Great wine and drink list. Ordered a glass of wine. Nice pour. Then I ordered the fettuccine Bolognese. Incredibly delicious!! I'm still thinking about it weeks later. The sauce is amazing!! Pasta cooked perfectly. Every bite was a little piece of heaven. I got the Churros to go for dessert. Fantastic! Came with this creamy delicious ice cream. Megan was the bartender and she is fantastic! 4 big TVs at the bar. Place is super clean. Soft music playing in the background. Pretty fireplace. Bathroom was very clean and has a full length mirror and a baby changing table. Family friendly but also would be an excellent date night spot. Highly recommend!!

Rose P.

Yelp
Very good selection of mostly Italian dishes with some Portuguese dishes. Our group loved the Portuguese style calamari with made with peppers and linguica sausage, and the kale soup. The Portuguese steak was a hit too. My linguini with clams in white sauce could have used a bit more garlic and pepper flakes but otherwise was good. We all thought our young waiter Eric was excellent. He handled all of our requests promptly and enthusiastically. I've been to another LaFamilia location but it was not as good as this location. We will be back again to South Easton.

Michael T.

Yelp
Clean, upscale look. Friendly service. The bread was warm and the seasoned oil and Parmesan red flakes was great. The Rhode Island style calamari was well seasoned and not too fried. Fettuccine bolognese was well cooked and tasty. Everyone else's dishes were top notch as well - chicken genovesa, chicken parm sandwich, etc. Solid Italian food. Such a great dining experience. Will be back. Viva El Salvador! Felicidades por traer Italia al sur de Massachusetts!

Yelp
Hands down Best Restaurant in Easton ,Ma. The Food is Great, the Staff is awesome (Thanks Keri) for making the best TitosMartin (Yep All One Word). You will not leave hungry, but you will leave with leftovers!!! I arrived one Tuesday and said to a staff member It's Taco Tuesday. "I'm sure the kitchen can make you a Taco ". Best Taco Ever... this is why I keep going back and hangout with my friend M.M. Please add La Familia to your Bucket List! For Good Food and Good Experience. Thanks . Please try The Lamb Shank/Special.

Alexander G.

Yelp
Decided to review after the second visit. If a second visit is made, the first time was fire for me. Both meals were super hot fire, flavorful and delicious. Keri & Kirsten are stellar bartenders/staff for this venue. I won't come back if they're not here

Ken J.

Yelp
Great food, great prices, great service. This places was gone through some churn since it was Dorothy Lou's, hope La Familia is around for a long time.

Yelp
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Will never return. I met a friend for dinner and had a reservation. Waitress was rushing use throughout our meal. Approximately 1 hr after our arrival we were told they needed our table for a large group. we had not even completed our meal. we were horrified and left. I have never been treated so horribly. The manager was completely unprofessional. They completely ruined our night. as an aside when we left no large party had arrived. Do not waste your time there go to Leandros or Corifino instead, they have excellent service

Luciafairia P.

Yelp
I came here for a date with my significant other last weekend, and both of us left happy and full! Our waitress was amazing and I wish i would of caught her name. She really loved my mean sarcasm towards my spouse and didn't blink an eye where others may have found it awkward. GET THE SWORDFISH!! It was literally amazing and I couldn't even finish it all although I really wanted to. The Lemon drop martini's were on point! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
I made reservations and was sat at the door with an entire empty dining room , first negative food was sub par very unimpressed I ordered from their specials menu thinking they are the specialities and they bust their pasta ordered the pesto chicken pasta and I felt like I was eating a lean cuisine tv dinner and I'm pretty sure the pasta was microwaved by the temperature

Yelp
First time here and we enjoyed everything about this place. We made a reservation through open table and requested a bar seat or high top in the bar area and we got exactly what we requested. The male host was polite and very well dressed I must say. A couple came in and asked if they could order takeout and sit at the bar and have a drink while waiting. Hello....has this guy not heard of what's going on and not knowing you can't sit at a bar and not order food. The male host dealt with him respectfully and kept saying sorry we can't. The guy also asked if he could have a drink at the host area while waiting for his food. Dude, wake up, we are dealing with a pandemic and the requests you are asking for is so 2019! Anyways on to the food and our waitress. She was helpful and recommended certain dishes and also recommended a great bottle of wine which we loved. We started off with Portuguese mussels and then ordered our dinner after finishing our appetizer. There was zero pressure in making us order right away. It was a very relaxed time, the atmosphere was very nice, the manager even came over to ask how everything was. The food was super affordable and we ended up having leftovers. It was a win-win. Great staff, no rushing us, tasty wine, great food and leftovers to boot! She said they are opening one in Mansfield so we will try that establishment when it opens. I was way too full to even try dessert but they have it on display when you walk in so its hard to resist just knowing what they offer.

Yelp
Food was great . I got chicken parm and the carbonara . Portions were plentiful . Bread is awesome but they don't give you enough? They only give you 3 small pieces for 2 meals ? They should give you double . I've been here over 30 times and never had a bad meal . Prices are reasonable for quality of the food . I highly recommend La Familia !

Melissa D.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing wait staff! Overall a really nice place to have date night or bring your family!

Robert N.

Yelp
Went for a date night with my wife. We had a reservation and it took a while for a table to open up so they comped us an appetizer, which was a class move. Sat outside in their converted parking lot. We got the mussels in a while wine sauce to share. I got a special with portabella mushrooms covered with a white wine demi over risotto and my wife got veal florentine with a marsala demi over pasta. Everything was well seasoned with large portions. Service was professional and their bread was fantastic. Overall a great meal

Nikki B.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's day dinner. Website didn't indicate it was a limit menu and hour of operations for this location is incorrect. Service can be better. The server was friendly but not attentive. Came over to ask for our drinks without providing us a drink menu. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress opened, poured it once and we poured the rest ourselves. Took a while to place our order. Swing by once to ask how the food taste when we first got the plates and never came back again. We understand it was Valentine's Day but as we can see, the waitress was waiting on two tables and disappear to the back/kitchen area mostly. Lastly, we were provided silverware (forks and knives) for our Creme Brûlée . Food: We ordered Seafood Stuffed Mushroom (app), Filet Oscar, Pasta Pescatore (Seafood), Creme Brûlée and Lemon Mascarpone. The Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms had small pieces of scallop and mostly stuffing in it. At least that's what I saw and tasted. Filet Oscar was cooked as requested (Med Rare) but didn't realize it came with gravy over everything. The dish came with two big shrimps and assorted veggies that were cooked just right. Pasta Pescatore came with a good portion of seafood cooked perfectly and a huge portion of linguini. Creme Brûlée was a good size that my husband and I end up sharing. However, it tasted like it was made with vanilla extract rather than real vanilla beans. We ended up eating the Lemon Mascarpone the next day and that was the best out of everything we ordered. It was not super sweet, light and has a refreshing flavor. It is worth a try due to portion size. Their regular menu definitely has more options. Overall, food was decent but not enough for me to go back again.

Maggi N.

Yelp
I have been going to Easton for over a year now and I just went to this restaurant last night. I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious the food is! My party got a lot of dishes and apps and all of the food was amazing!! The sauce in all the delicious were delicious and all the ingredients tasted very fresh! The atmosphere was very friendly and homey and the wait staff was really nice and friendly. I really loved all the food and I can't say enough about how delicious everything was. I already can't wait to go back and try every more dishes!!

Cathleen A.

Yelp
Very accommodating for our, not their confusion on reservation. Food was amazing. Wait staff friendly helpful and attentive . Will definitely go back!

Yelp
This review should fall under the category of "How to turn a simple mistake into a win/win/win situation! My wife and daughter and I had dinner last night in their outdoor dining tent, which was quite comfortable. We ordered our meals and then munched out on their delicious focaccia bread with red peppered oil (served complimentary). My wife and I ordered the Chicken Frances (delicious: chicken is dredged in an egg batter) and when our meals arrived and I started cutting into the 'chicken' I noticed that it cut like veal, looked like veal and tasted like veal, so I assume... My wife had the same experience (though she just chowed it down). Both of our other pieces were chicken and were delicious. I asked the waitress if she could please replace my one piece, which they did, quickly, and what I really liked is that they didn't just throw a new piece of chicken on a plate, but it came sauced, seasoned and with a slice of lemon, very appealing, and it was great! All was good, a few minutes later I noticed a woman (I believe to be family) going table to table, asking everyone how they enjoyed their food and service. When she got to us, I didn't expect her being aware of our mishap, and I wasn't planning to mention since it was taken care of promptly and professionally, but she immediately and discreetly apologized and I said, no problem at all, everything was handled perfectly fine. A few minutes later, the waitress arrived and said, as she cleared our plates, that they would like to buy us dessert for our troubles. Well, as I had said, there was no troubles, but, to be honest, I didn't mind the creme brulee served to us on the house! So, the moral to this story, if you make a mistake, own it, and do what you can to turn it around. This minor mishap turned into a win/win/win, for us (let them eat creme brulee), for the restaurant (won us over, though we did already like the joint) and for our waitress, receiving a 34% tip!! I like Yelping and remember, "If you eat something, say something"

Yelp
Don't know why it says I'm from San Francisco - live in Boston & this restaurant was better than some in North End. Had 20 people for my Mom's 80th birthday lunch. EVERYONE was happy with the food & Eric, our server, made that happen. He was attentive & friendly. Had a gluten allergy in the group, and he was helpful and careful. Everyone loved their dishes. Most had chicken parm & we have at least 5 picky people in the group that loved their dishes. Red sauce was great! Some had shrimp scampi as well which was really good. Will definitely be back & thank you for making my Mom's birthday a memorable one.

Irene O.

Yelp
What a wonder local find. Went to a shop in Norton for a specific gift and ended up at lunch here at La Familia. From my welcome at the door to my lunch at the bar, I can whole heartily recommend this place. Food was wonderful, service to perfection, and the customers so inviting and talkative. Such a pleasant experience! Kerrie & Kirsten were on the bar and you could tell they have a special chemistry. I laughed and smiled so much while enjoying a lovely conversation with the Customers me. Definitely check it out if you are in the area.

AMarie F.

Yelp
Management took care of the situation Thank you We didn't have a great experience but manager went out of her way to make it right

Peter M.

Yelp
Very good food and great service. My favorite is the veal Parmesan. Very generous portions. You need to ask to make it extra cheesy and extra sauce he has sometimes there is not enough cheese for my taste or sauce.

Dawn A.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of our local favorites. I have never had a bad meal here. I loved the pork Milanese last week. The Portuguese food that they serve is really good also. Their staff seems to take really good safety precautions in light of the pandemic and we really appreciated that. Service has always been excellent. I love that they take reservations. I hate waiting for tables.

Daniel C.

Yelp
The food was out of this world to start. We had appetizers main course and dessert. The crème burlee was crazy good. The bread pudding was omg. We had butternut squash ravioli and a chivv cvs j my en and shrimp dish that I can't spell. Lol. The service was ok. They definitely don't have enough servers but Jackie did a wonderful job and we will definitely be back.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Ordered take out this past weekend. Overall it was quite poor which was disappointing. We ordered calamari Rhode Island style. It was basically soup when we opened the container and was gross. Nothing like I've experienced before with that type of calamari. I ordered a chicken florentine. The taste/flavoring was very strong, all I could taste was chicken stock. The other meal was chicken parm, overall that was okay. I wouldn't recommend for take out. Maybe eating there is a different story.

Tim H.

Yelp
The fact that this place was as busy as it was when we visited and other reviews are generally favorable is testament to the fact we live in a culinary Chernobyl. Both service and food quality lacked on our visit. Server, while friendly was generally inattentive, no follow through on a request. No chance of getting drink refills or even condiments after food was served (Parmesan cheese for a pasta dish). We were a party of 5 and all agreed the food was mediocre at best (save for the kale soup which was hot and excellent). Veal was super bad. Either wildly overcooked or a really low quality cut. It had the consistency of hard rubber. Marinara sauce was over-herbed. Just too much going on with it. Fettuccine Alfredo - overcooked pasta and bland sauce. Buffalo tenders. Average at best. Chicken Parm = 2/10. I wouldn't recommend or return.

Perry M.

Yelp
What a disappointment I had at La Familia in Easton MA. I would have to say this was worst dinning experience I ever had. I had a 6 o'clock reservation got there 15 minutes early and was seated at a table for two close to front door. Every time the door opened we got a gust of cold air. I asked if there was another table available not so near to the front door. Their response was "No, if you want to move to another table for two, you would need to wait until 8 o'clock for the next sitting". Even though there were two other unoccupied tables for two in the corner still vacant they said NO. So my wife sat at the table eating her dinner with her coat on. To me I would say that was unacceptable. I should have walked out right then and there. Now the food wasn't that good to my liking. For an appetizer I ordered RI Style Calamari and this was poorest quality fried calamari I ever ate. The calamari was supposed to be lightly breaded pan fried. It came to our table in a sloppy soupy mess over a bed of Arugula. My main entrée was Frutti di Mare it was okay, but trust me I had better elsewhere. The waiter for my table was a nice young gentlemen. I have no complaint with him. The two front hostesses and front room manger need to learn how to please customers much better. This was my second time going to La Familia and it will be my last because my experience was very disappointing.

Philip R.

Yelp
Great tasty food at very reasonable prices and good service. Among the meals we've enjoyed: shrimp scampi, chicken Parmesan, watermelon salad, steak, And mozzarella sticks

Portia M.

Yelp
I've been here before I've never yelped about it. I started with a Cosmo it was sweet and strong very good drink. I day at the bar the bartender Keri was awesome very attentive. The eggplant Stack is delicious the acidity from that sauce is spot on with the eggplant dish best I ever had. The calamari was good I should've ordered more banana peppers because I like the kick it gives the dish other than that it was really good a nice light batter not heavy with the grease. I ordered a lemon Drop martini again sweet and strong I think this one was my fave for the night .. my friend ordered the chicken dish I mean the plate was cleared not even a piece of arugula on the plate so I assumed it was good. I had the shrimp Mozambique very good fish I wish the shrimp were grilled it would've made it even better. With every bite the dish got alot more spicy in my mouth so make sure you drink water this isn't for the beginner. The strawberry shortcake omg it was super bomb very moist and lots of strawberry sauce I loved that dessert. The other dessert I took a bite it was good but kind of dry I'm On this sauce thing maybe that's why other than that it was good ... the espresso martini was a great way to end the night but kept me up until 4 am

Steve B.

Yelp
Great restaurant, good food and service. I had the lamb shank and was blown away. Very nice ambiance.

Fred M.

Yelp
Just okay, I had the vegetable wrap which is very heavy on the oil. The substitute side salad is nothing to rave about, as they give you one slice of cucumber, one half a cherry tomato (brother, can you spare it?) in a bowl of yellow lettuce. If you like french fries you're in for a treat! (they'll load your plate). The onion rings were overcooked, making them way too dark and crispy. The complimentary bread and oil they provide is very good.

Daniel R.

Yelp
Stop in for lunch ,nice decor inside ,service was excellent and the food was very good. Didn't get past the specials list had this Portuguese pork chop on special for 1199

Ang B.

Yelp
Went here and had a perfect Italian dinner, love this place! Nice, clean, friendly! They have curbside pick and a Italian dinner for 2 that could serve 5, and it's under $30! What a great restaurant! The prices are reasonable, and the staff attentive! I have no complaints other than wanting more!!! You get so much food for the price and the food is excellent ! We dined in first and it was so clean and fresh smelling! The place was obviously scrubbed down well every night! Now -- this is just pure funny! my only complaint has nothing to do with the restaurant, just the rude guy in the corner eating with hands! and making so much mouth noises I was sickened! Yes I said it his hands, it was disgusting, and in full view of the whole room! The waitress was horrified too! But I had share cause that's crazy, and funny!

Benjamin M.

Yelp
Beautiful casual space. Very clean, elegant, and nice menu. Prices match quality of food. Dining area is separate from bar area! I would've liked a veggie to go with my meal but I order a eggplant appetizer so I covered myself that way! Overall great place. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items. Had dessert. Was delicious. cinnamon churro's with ice cream. If they were frozen I definitely could not tell. Very fresh with a scoop of ice cream.

Tina S.

Yelp
Good Italian food and good service. The bruschetta has a nice twist on an old theme, and the bread was fresh and delicious. We each had a pasta dish - fettuccini bolognese, stuffed ziti, and ravioli. All good. Tiramisu for dessert: delicious! I just wish they didn't use styrofoam containers for take home!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best meal I have had in a long time. Server was so nice. I got veal and eggplant parmigiana. Best veal I had other than my grandfather's. It was a total delight. everyone at the table loved their food!!!!

Jason M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service what you'd expect from a family style Italian restaurant. You up will not be disappointed here.

Barry J.

Yelp
Food was very good , but the service was terrible for a Resturant of this price. After service was very poor for all the dining experience and searching for the bill. I asked the waitress if I had done something to offend her because our service was so bad. I tipped her 20%, even though I don't know why. I will go back, but will refuse her as a server.

Chris M.

Yelp
I love the chandeliers in here. Reminds me of a Chinese restaurant. Feng shui. It has a ball shape. They also make churros (dessert). They served us Francisi bread with an olive oil dip. There was a generous amount of Parmesan on the bottom of the dip. I grabbed some with a spoon and put it on the bread. Very interesting, like a cheesy olive oil. I could get used to this. I like to eat the brown crust of the Francisi bread first. Very tasty. I got the Fettucini bolognese. It seemed a little creamy. Not heavy. Just right.

Yelp
Tried La Familia for the last time. 3 strikes your out! The food was average and the bartender could have cared less about her clientele. The highlight was hearing a customer complain to the manager who in turn, laughed about them to the staff after they left. Cookie cutter meals. Same rude staff as I experienced in the past. Won't be back.
