"Alfresco Lunching Deep in the Medina The wonderful thing about the medina in Marrakech is the way in which it endlessly reinvents itself. Barely a week goes by without some hip, new trailblazer shimmying onto the scene and giving you just one more reason to love the place. When La Famille opened a couple of summers ago, it was like one of Ibiza’s secluded countryside restaurants had dropped in from across the Med. The leafy garden, driftwood furniture, herb- and flower-infused waters (no alcohol here, dears), organic salads served in Kilner jars, vegetarian quiches, and healthy cakes attract the city’s most beautiful groovers and shakers, who waft about in designer kaftans plotting their latest interior design projects for their riads. Drop in for an hour, but like all the best places, don't be surprised to find you're here for at least three."

"Hidden in a beautiful garden in the medina, La Famille serves refreshing vegetarian fare. The menu includes daily pasta and salad options, as well as pizza and dips, but dishes change constantly to follow seasonal produce (and the whims of the kitchen). Do make sure to save room for one of the rotating desserts, like fresh fruit tarts or the incredible chocolate cake. Though La Famille is only open for lunch, the wildly popular restaurant still usually requires a reservation. [$ - $$]" - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki
It really is such an exceptional restaurant experience.
The all female team are simply wonderful. The food - you can’t beat it. All vegetarian and so full of flavour.
Everything from the menu design and dishes to the home made orange blossom lemonade is exceptional and without fault.
Best salad I have ever had.

A very hip place in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, with stunning boho-chic design, absolutely superb food and a chilled out atmosphere. Prices were a bit on the higher side for Morocco but not blown out of proportion. The food was well prepared and worth it! They also have a small shop inside, featuring diverse objects with a mix of modern and traditional design. Totally recommend this place!

Tucked away in the heart of the Medina yet pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle, this cozy restaurant offers a unique dining experience. The set menu allows you to choose a starter, a first course, a main, and a dessert – all vegetarian and all beautifully prepared. The food is excellent, with creative flavor combinations that really stand out. It’s a refreshing change from the typical tourist spots that usually serve only tagine and couscous. Definitely worth a stop!

Absolutely fantastic dinner in the sweetest atmosphere. Dining in a hidden garden. It was a bit difficult to find before they reopened at 19:30, but once they opened the door you could spot it. The sweetest women running the place with thoughtful presentation of food, very quick service, and creative menu! Don’t expect fancy hi brow dining, but creative twist and seasoning on an excellent daily menu! Wish I could eat here more!

Lovely quiet location on busy souk alleyway. Large open air courtyard inside - quite unexpected. Limited menu - everything vegetarian. One of us had the pasta and the other flatbread - both pretty good. Credit cards very reluctantly ok on bills over 200dh.

You need to make a reservation online for either lunch or dinner. Only one menu with 1 starter, 3 choices for entrees, and a good selection of drinks and desserts. Amazing food, atmosphere, and mission. Only reason for 4 stars is that these are not Morocco prices, but more Euro prices ($11-14 for a main dish, $4.50 for a drink, etc).

Beautiful tranquil garden restaurant in the middle of the madness of Medina. It's like finding an oasis where you are welcomed by warm smiles. Operated by only women cooking in an outdoor kitchen in front of you. Very small menu all vegetarian but absolutely delicious. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is amazing and the food is delicious. Also you must try their homemade desserts! I'm definitely coming back!

Without question the best meal we ate in Marrakech. The food was so fresh and tasty. I noted the ingredients in my dish to try and recreate at home. A beautiful tranquil calm in a very busy city. Beautiful staff who were so friendly. Very reasonable price, perfect sharing portions. Highly recommend, especially for vegetarians as it is not easy to find options elsewhere.
