La Farine Bakery & Cafe

The owner is so nice and friendly. I love this Cafe and when I get a chance I stop in to get the lemongrass beef sandwich it is so refreshing and delicious 😋. Today I tried the almond and apple tart it was sooooooo good nice flaky crust with a rich apple and crispy almond topping, totally recommend. ♥

This place has a lot of vegetarian options and at least one vegan sandwich. The Caprese is what I have in the picture here. Lunch is basically only sandwiches. Don't expect fries or chips as a side! Salads only 🌱 There's a little selection of breads behind the counter to chose from if you want to buy a loaf for home. Come early cause the popular breads seem to run out fast.

Excellent little French bakery. I enjoy coming here to study and have a pastry. Don't miss the almond croissants! They're amazing. The macaroons are tasty, but not the best. Tasty coffee drinks and hot food as well.

Nice staff that greet you right away. I had the seasons coffee special it was good but nothing spectacular however the croissants were delicious! They have a pretty good selection of baked goods which I'll need to get back to try!!! The space is larger then normal cafes and it's cozy.

Had coffee here once. Bread and pastries looked yummy, but didn't eat because we were just stopping for chat before lunch. Anyway, coffee didn't really satisfied me. It was maybe less than I expected from cafe as nice as this one. I'm hoping to try one of pastries and bread next time I visit though. Their back place looked really big with fully operating bakery. And it's always a good sign cafe with big bakery backing up. Their coffee need some improvement though.

I really hate to give a negative review to this place because I've been a longtime satisfied customer. However, when I ordered 420 macaroons for my wedding from La Farine, they dropped the ball pretty badly. When I ordered the macaroons, I put my wedding coordinator's phone number on the order form in addition to my own. The day of the wedding arrives, and as I am trying to get ready and keep everything running smoothly, the delivery person calls me several times to inform me that he can't get in the building. I told him to call my wedding coordinator whose number is on the order form. He said he didn't have the number, so I gave it to him over the phone. As desserts are being set out after dinner, my wedding coordinator informed me that 70 macaroons were missing. I had ordered 6 different flavors and we only had 5. This meant that some of my guests were unable to enjoy dessert. When I contacted La Farine about this, they indicated that they had delivered all of the macaroons and I should check the security footage. When I checked with my venue, we confirmed that the whole order had not been delivered. When I got back in touch with La Farine about this, they didn't respond. I'm giving them a few more days before I dispute the charges on my card. I used to be a regular customer here, but after this and some pretty unsatisfying experiences in the store, I won't be returning.

So glad I found this bakery with beautifully crafted classic pastries and bread. They actually use BUTTER as opposed to most of the bakeries in this neighborhood that use mostly lard. And a great place to hang out. The staff is really nice and attentive.

Great local neighborhood place. The sandwiches are extremely reasonably priced considering everything is on their fresh baked artisan breads. We have gotten lunch a few times and look forward to coming back in. P.S. You have to try the macaroons.
