Great café with a wide variety of options. Both pastries and savory items were delicious! The pastries were not overly sweet, so they were enjoyable all the way to the last bite. My favorites were the Smoked Salmon in Challah Roll and the Tarte Bourdaloue! The coffee was excellent as well, with a rich and well made espresso. The space is large, comfortable, and very relaxing! It feels like a place where you can really take your time, and it seems perfect for both families with kids and casual dates.

Absolutely loved it here! The sandwiches and pastries were good, no surprise there, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the drinks. I didn’t expect to love them as much as I did, and honestly… I’m craving them as I type this. From the refreshing mountain berry tea to the mint tea, none of the drinks were too sweet or overpowering. Especially since I usually dislike mint, this was such a wonderful surprise. I will say, it is such a beautiful space, and because people really love it, it does tend to fill up. There may be a bit of a wait time for seating, but it’s honestly understandable given the atmosphere. I do agree with some other comments I’ve seen that the croissant could definitely be softer, and a few bread edges were a bit hard to bite into. However, this wasn’t an issue for me, more so just constructive feedback. What truly won me over, though, wasn’t even the wonderful food or drinks; it was the hospitality. Absolutely unmatched. The staff is genuinely lovely: so kind, welcoming, and clearly happy to be there. They make you feel comfortable right away, especially in a new environment. The energy is radiant, warm, and unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back ✨

La Farine is a lovely cafe on the Upper West Side with so many freshly baked pastries and delicious coffee. It’s a good spot to grab a few treats to-go and perhaps sit in the park nearby, but there is also an upstairs seating area for chatting and some people doing work as well. The staff were very friendly and everything was served quickly. Would definitely come back for another visit if I was nearby!

Such a great find! This bakery is so spacious and bright with a decent amount of seating on the second floor. Truly the perfect place to grab a coffee and pastry, catch up with friends, solo date, or get some work done. My favorite bite was definitely the smoked Gouda and butternut squash quiche- this is probably the best which I’ve ever had in the city. The chocolate chip cookie was also a favorite. We decided to pick up an olive sourdough loaf for home and thought it was so chewy and tasty as well.

This cafe is a Parisian escape in NYC. Super cute aesthetics and vibes. It’s spacious with seating area. I loved the lox sandwich, which was super fresh and delicious. You can also watch them make fresh breads live. It’s a nice spot to hangout, WFH or just a solo date. The architecture is beautiful especially the lighting and the big chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Also all of their pastries were vegetarian, which I loved!

La Farine is such a cute addition to the UWS! I got to try some savory and sweet treats, and the quality was amazing. My favorite was the white chocolate and pistachio babka and the mushroom quiche. 😋 also, the place was packed! So many people hanging out and having conversations or reading a book made for a nice atmosphere.

La Farine is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and courteous and the baked goods are outstanding. Highlights for me are the baguette, olive sourdough, black pepper croissant and pain au chocolat. The babka loaf also make an excellent dinner party gift in a pinch. Their hours are generous and have even been open on holidays. Get there early though they will sell out of their best pastries!

This bakery has a charming appearance with a friendly, efficient staff. The ambiance is noisy but tolerable. Their star item is the crispy crust French baguette, with the mini-baguette served with butter and jam being particularly delightful. I cannot say much about their espresso but their regular coffee is a complete disappointment, lacking in taste or sufficient heat to accommodate even a drop of milk. Just as disappointing were the overpriced Mushroom Feuilleté and Feta Cheese & Peppers dishes. All in all- Worth the visit.

is good, and the service friendly. The pastries are good, what you would expect from a place like this. However, the for me is the ambience, noise level, and most of all, lack of ventilation. It always seems to leave a smell on me when I leave!

The challah used to be the best I'd ever had but the quality has sadly declined significantly. I don't know what changed but it seems like they decided to go with a different recipe. Now the challah is tasteless and over baked. Please bring back the original recipe!

Excellent coffee and very good pastries + sandwiches. Nice atmosphere and plenty of small tables for 2 on the 2nd floor.

Beautiful space with surprisingly disappointing food. Croissant and Fuillette, despite looking lovely, were sadly more bread than pastry. Perhaps the layers are simply too thick? The coffee is good, however.

Great new addition to the neighborhood. Super high quality baked goods and coffee. Could use a few more prepared options for lunch and changing how the ordering queue works, but those are easy to overlook.

Pain d'epices (gingerbread) was clearly stale.. if I lived closer I would march it right back and possibile throw it over the counter LOL. A serious disappointment.

Great croissants and coffee. Nice atmosphere. Prices high but not out of line for neighborhood. Staff still a bit green--need to be able to serve more quickly and efficiently. And they should have jam for the croissants!

Very bright, pretty spot and the service was nice and quick. I got an almond croissant and the croissant itself was good, but the almond paste is very nontraditional, darker brown than typical with little pieces of almond. I love almond croissants and get them all over the city. This one was not for me but will be back to try something else.

This place is EXCELLENT. Possibly my favorite babka i've ever had. Lovely space. I also really enjoyed the black pepper croissant.

Food and service good. Ambiance very nice but acoustically not very good. Echos throughout the building, cannot hear and need to talk loudly across the table to hear the other people and others can hear your conversation from tables around you. Not a relaxing atmosphere.

Amazing staff! They are so warm and talented. Great coffee and so cozy. The only things that would make this place better are a kosher certification and unsweetened almond milk.

This is just what the Upper West Side needs! A beautiful space for coffee and phenomenal salads, pastries and breads. Lovely staff, too! La Farine is the new best thing and destined to become a staple of NYC.

i am usually NOT a black coffee drinker but oh my goodness their brew is just so tasty. the baked goods are all so fresh and delicious, and the staff is so kind and helpful. the upstairs seating area is also gorgeous!
